Forsyte Saga Volume One. It was recommended to me by Idril and I have to say that although initially I had reservations about it, I've really become intrigued with the characters, they are so tragic it's almost laughable ??? I'm finding it hard to put down now...true mark of a good book :)

And I can't tell you how positively thrilled I am that you're enjoying it. :D 8)  It really is a much more substantial book than people might think.

After getting through War and Peace, I've moved on to much lighter fare...Vile Bodies by Evelyn Waugh.

First Strike (third of the Halo books.)  Very cool.

"God is the Lord, of angels, and of men-and of elves."-J.R.R. Tolkien

And I shall be telling this with a sigh
somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood and I,
I took the road less traveled by
And that has made all the difference.

I fiiiinally bought the LOTR trilogy a couple of days ago. :[ (one of those three-books-in-one-things)
I've read the Fellowship before but then stopped because of school and oh well.
It's really nice so far but I'm a slow reader so I probably won't finish 'till Christmas or something.

In addition to First Strike, I'm also reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe for something like the tenth or fifteenth time.

Umm, I finished 'watermelon', then re-read about 100 pages of Abhorsen, then saw a Penny Vincenzi book for a pound, rushed to buy it in excitment, took it home, started reading it and then realisation dawned that I had already read it! :'( But I am reading it again now, it's called 'almost a crime' by Penny Vincenzi.. :D

Runt: What's the color of love, Pig?
Pig: What sort of love, love?
Runt: Don't know. But you know the way things, they got a color. I wonder what the color of love is.
Pig: Jesus, Runt. You could read a thousand think books and never know the answer to that quiz.
Runt: It's be a good one to know, ah?
Pig: It'd be brilliant, Runt. It's around here somewhere.
