well i have read a lot of books and i can fiarly say that tolkien's style was actually very good... never boring and daring too... no author ever dared to get bits and pieces of scenes, and make the story still fit together! but alias thats yuor opinion!

As I said in my previous example, HP Lovecrafts is even older and it's still manages to grip. The world is built on opinion.
All I'm saying is that his books are not really good especially compared to modern writers.
It's like saying Windows 3.1 is the best software because it was the precurser to XP .

sure.. im sorry to have got a little bit out of topic...
well i have the extneded versions ofthe dvd s.. they are truly an investment... the uncut scenes are amazing and the off screen scenes are really breath taking... showing the hard work involved in such a work...

I have seen all of the LOTR films at the movies, my parents have got the normal LOTR set on DVD and i have got the extended version of the whole trilogy on DVD Sad to say i have yet not read any of the books  Bhaal  |

My dad has read the books, he has had his copy for ages, befor we moved in with him and he sayd that they are really good. Its the whole trilogy in one book, so once i have finished the book i'm reading at the moment, it'll either be the LOTR or angels and demons Bhaal |
