I like Locke very much...he's very cool.
I'm a big fan of Locke myself..  I agree with you, he's a cool guy..

Though I disagree with you, Idril, he's not evil..  :P

Someone else is going to to die.  And then possibly one in the early episodes of season 2.  Here's what the chat with a TV gossip columnist says:

Q: Will we have to say goodbye to another Lost survivor this season? We're still in mourning for poor Boone.

A: Ready for this? Sitting down? Kleenex and first-aid kit sitting by? Mother programmed into speed dial? Yes. Someone else is getting written off the show.

Q: You're gonna get us started about the Lost castoff again? I might as well start. Any hint on who's leaving? Male? Female? Jack?

A: Whaddya say we not do that again and drive ourselves crazy? I will tell you this: Someone is dying this season. I think someone else is dying early next season. And I've heard the second already knows, because of contract negotiations going on, and is none too pleased and driving something of a hard bargain.

:'(

The 'someone is dying this season' could be the person who is being poisoned.  I told you guys about the person that's being poisoned in my first set of spoilers right?  Well anyway, someone is.  And the victim is NOT female.  Looks like we're losing another Lost boy  :'(

I hope it's Jin, because I hate him!

Hope it's not Hurley.  I don't really feel any connection to Jin, so maybe it'll be him.

Oh that would be pretty sweet if that happened actually (no offence to you Sawyer fans out there!!) but he is just pure nasty!

However, he does make the storyline that little bit more interesting. If he was cut from the series, then it wouldn't be half as interesting.  Without him, there would be no fights for stuff he's got.

I loved it when whoever it was put them spikey things under his fingernails...that was classic!

oh, you're just cruel, Jez!!! Cut the guy some slack, he's been through alot and there was no one to help him deal with his past and present...

True, he did have quite a rocky past, but that doesn't make me "like" him.

They all had rocky pasts to be honest, and not all of them are as nasty as him :-\

I just don't like the nasty guys in programs, even if they do make the storyline more interesting

he's a nice guy if you know how to handle him...remember how he just gave the list to Hurley because Hurley had no intention and no inclinnation of hating him, he just took him for what he was.

Well, we all have different views on the characters.

MY view on Sawyer is that he is a nasty man.  Shannon needed them inhalers to survive, and he gave Kate the choice of giving him a kiss or letting Shannon die.  If that's not nasty, I don't know what is.

When someones life is at stake on that program and he has whatever to help them survive, he always makes the others pay the price before he hands it over...thats just nasty in my eyes.  People shouldn't have to do things so he can give them what they need...especially things they need to survive.

He does make the story line that little bit more interesting, it'd be nice if he cut the others some slack and lightened up a bit...

I must say, the bamboo under the nails did look painful.

But I like Sawyer.  I like his sarcasm most of all, and I don't really like Shannon anyway.  I know that's mean, but...I'm in support of all you Sawyer fans.

So moving off the theories on who's being poisoned... who do you think is doing the poisoning?  The possiblilities:

Sun - she does have an accute knowledge of plants and probably knows which ones are poisonous.  But does she really have the personality to do it?

Kate - anything is possible with her.  I wouldn't put it past her to be honest

Locke - he knows how to make a hallucenogenic, why not a poison as well?

Walt - this kid makes weird things happen, I suppose he could poison someone if he put his mind to it

Jack - he's a doctor , he knows more about the drugs on the island than anyone, but then, he IS a doctor and he seem too righteous to poison someone

Sayid - he knows a few tricks of the trade, I'm sure he wouldn't have any trouble picking up a few tips on poison from Sun or Jack, he's very persuasive

Rousseau - okay, so she doesn't have contact with the camp, but remember she did mention something about her crew being infected...could the 'poisoning' be done in fact by the whispers heard by Sayid and Sawyer?

I don't know squat about the poisoning, but here's an interesting article about Boone that I read in this week's T.V. Guide..

RIP Boone!

Here, in an emotional interview, Somerhalder speaks out about his departure and -SPOILER ALERT!- reveals that he might not be the only one biting the dust.

Finally, one of Lost's biggest mysteries has been revealed.

After months of warnings from cocreators J. J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof that a major character on their ABC hit drama would be killed off -and rampant speculation from fans about who it would be- Boone (Ian Somerhalder), the rich boy with the creepy attachment to his stepsister Shannon (Maggie Grace), died in the April 6 episode.  Somerhalder's exit was necessary because "it kicks off the character conflicts that build all the way into the season finale," Lindelof says.  "It had to be him."

>>When did you find out Boone was being killed off?

Two days before coming back to Hawaii in January to buy a house. [Laughs]

>>Ouch.  So you didn't have any idea?
No.  Look, all of us knew it could happen.  But you just weren't ready for it to be you.  To be honest, I still can't believe I'm having this conversation right now.

>>How did you take the news?
J. J. and Damon called to tell me [while] I was in Santa Ynez wine country in a brand-new convertible Porsche with a really beautiful girl.  It was Friday night.  I'd been wine tasting all day.  I was upset.  I said, "I love you guys.  But this is just not a conversation that I can be having right now."  Basically, I was telling them, "This is gonna really f--- up my weekend."  [Laughs]  No matter how stupid and selfish that is, it's the way it was.

>>And after you'd had some time to process it?
Hey, what are you gonna do?  It makes sense storywise.  J. J. and Damon are smart.  You just gotta trust them.  And this has been the best year of my life.  I have met people I will remain close to until I'm old and gray.  At the end of the day, I'm so grateful to have had this experience.

>>Did the producers ask you to keep it a secret from the rest of the cast?
No.  They knew I wouldn't do that.  These are my people, you know?  There's no way in hell I wasn't gonna tell them.  Foxy [Matthew Fox, who plays Jack] was the first phone call I made.  Josh [Holloway, who plays Sawyer] was the second.

>>How difficult was it to shoot your last episode?
It was very painful.  Trust me, it was the worst week.  Matthew called me the day before we started shooting and said, "I don't wanna have to go through this.  But I wouldn't wanna go through it with anyone else but you."

>>I heard you got a standing ovation after your last scene.
You know, I don't really remember because I just wanted out.  I just didn't want to be there.  It was too emotional.  I had to leave.

>>Were you satisfied with the story?
I was a little disappointed at first.  I thought it didn't make any sense.

>>Why?
Because the [April 13] episode isn't about Shannon's grief.  Here the one guy that loved her and took care of her just bit the big one, and they don't explore that in the next episode?  That kind of sucks.  As an audience member, I would want to see "is this person gonna go off the deep end now?"  It's not as big as it could've been, not as intense.

>>Will you still watch the show?
Are you crazy?  Of course!  This is my show.  I'm still such a part of this thing.

>>Is there a chance we haven't seen the last of Boone?
Yeah, totally.  By the end of the season, I'll be back in flashbacks.  Here's the other thing: I'm gonna be coming back next season, too.

>>Wait- is Boone really dead?
He's dead as a doornail.  Trust me.  He's in the ground.  Dead, dead, dead.

>>So how will he be back next season?
[Producers] have kind of told me what they have in mind, but I don't think they know in whole yet.  But I can imagine it's gonna be pretty cool.  And I whole-heartedly look forward to it.

>>What will you do in the meantime?
I'm taking a trip to Iceland.  Then I'm going to South Africa to shoot Wes Craven's new film.

>>There are rumors that Boone may not be the only main character dying.  What can you tell us about that?
There are gonna be a lot more.  I'm gonna sound like an ass for saying this, but I'd rather be the first one off.  It was all the more of a shock to me and the cast and to the story.  You never forget the first, right?
