All that fails

All that fails,
Is what I can't do right,
I start falling in the night,
Can't seem to stop this flight,
Just wondering what path I might take,
Through the sky I fall,
Disappointment and all,
I look up at the stars tonight,
For a brief second,
Life was right,
No turning back now,
Cause I can't,
Thrashed below I shall be,
Once I hit the ground,
It's nothing I would have seen,
In my distant past,
But now this is reality,
Theirs only but contrast,
What kind of sensation is this,
None at all,
Time to re-think,
I wake up,
It was only a dream,
But when I step out to the balacony,
It seems as hell is on earth.

We say G'Day mate
We wait for our billy can to boil
We have the southern cross on our flag
We wear green and gold at the Oylmpics
We have natives animals
We even have our own Football
Thats whats make Australia a great country to live in

I'm entering mine!Is own work:

FOTR Poem

As Frodo walked in, he looked to the floor,
And on it, found a ring.
"Yo!Gandalf, my man, look over here.
What is this golden thing?"
"Like, oh my gosh and all that stuff.
Don't tell me you don't know.
That ring is for you like everything else,
Like, left here by Bilbo."
"Say, what?" muttered Frodo in surprise,
And pulled up his baggy pants.
"I thought this junk was goin' away-"
He was interrupted by chants.
Out of nowhere a Nazgul appeared,
And chased the hobbits towards the ferry.
"I say, who has the ring?" it asked,
"Frodo, Sam, Pippin or Merry?"
"What's with this poem?" rapped Frodo,
As Strider joined in the chase.
"Good question," replied another Nazgul,
Decked out in ribbons and lace.
"Yo, I think that I can end this,
'Cos it's really freakin' me out!"
Pippin and Merry commanded, "Sam, help him, don't be such a lout!"
Sam cried out, "I know what to do!"
And grabbed a Nazgul's sword,
"Could you give that back?" it asked him,
"It comes from Sauron's lair."
Sam didn't pay any attention,
He plunged it into Frodo's shoulder,
Gandalf screamed in alarm,
As Frodo fell on a boulder.
An elf came riding by,
A whirl of think black hair.
Aragorn yelled, "It's Arwen!"
A Nazgul whispered, "she looks like a bear!"
The fuzzy thing took Frodo to Rivendell,
He fainted on the way,
But woke a while later,
Lying on a pile of hay.
"Haharr!" yelled Elrond to Frodo.
"To Mordor with ye!
I want to see that ring destroyed!"
He boomed loudly with glee.
So Frodo left that land,
Eight others with him set out,
But then there was one other,
Gollum followed them about!

When Sam gives up hope, there is no hope

Sam left the tunnel-side and shrank towards Frodo, and their hands met and clasped, and so together they still went on

Well..I hope that it's alright to enter with slightly "older" poems, I want to enter this one since it actually means a lot to me, despite it being posted elsewhere on the forum.. :-\

Like a Fallen Angel,
I fell into your arms,
Like a Fallen Angel,
I need to be caught,
Like a Fallen Angel,
To be in your arms,
Is what I want.

Dancing through silver skies,
Upon my dark wings,
Drowning in lies,
Whispered echoes inside my head,
Wishing things that should not be said,
I can pretend and smile,
I can lie,
I know I can try,
But whispered echoes inside my head,
Dreaming these dreams as tears are shed.

Things should be better,
I know they should,
And though I pray,
Perhaps they could,
Time does heal,
Or so they say,
And soon will come,
Yet another day.

So dance with my through scarlett skies,
Dance with me and open your eyes,
To this world that plays around us.

Whispered echoes of dreams long hidden,
Whispered memories of the distant past,
Can this future be rebuilt?
Dancing through these midnight skies,
Can you promise me a future without lies?
Dancing on through silver clouds,
Wishing we could cast aside these shourds.

Like a Fallen Angel,
I am waiting,
Dancing through these midnight skies,
I am waiting for your arms,
Longing to be held by you,
Like a Fallen Angel,
I need you.

So will you surrendur to the melody,
Of a million stars dancing at your feet?
Will you surrendur and give your heart,
Or will you yield and finally weep?
Please be honest and of course true,
For this Fallen Angel is beside you,
To wipe your tears,
And wash away your fears,
This Fallen Angel will protect you,
Just hold me close,
As we dance across these clear blue skies,
Whispered echoes of a promised future,
No more lies,
Only smiles.

Like a Fallen Angel,
I'm with you.

SG's is a ballard surely! :o

Over the fords cows may jump
And though our hills may look like lumps
Thats where i am
And i don't give a damn

Our streets may rise into peaks
And our people may like to listen to beats
Thats where i am
And i don't give a damn

Lately dated
We have been slated
That's where i am
And i dont give a damn

That's bollocks that! Saying that Samwise Gamgee's poem is a story. What a load of bollocks!  >:(

Well here's my poem anyway.

Angel

I'm the little girl
The angel who's life was taken
The little girl, sad and lonely
I'm that little girl

Lost in the wilderness
I spread my wings and I fly
Across distant lands
The cold air hitting my pale face

The angel's tears hitting the ground
Cold and damp on her face
She floats through the clouds
Her eyes wide shut

She's the little girl
The angel who's life was taken
The girl, sad and lonely
I was that little girl

ok...here's ma poem...

 Have you ever seen the everlasting glade?
Have you ever seen the everlasting glade?
The glade basked in silence at night
The glade full of light at day.
A glade of silent sounds
Of small birds and of small animals
Of rustles as the wind goes by
And of silent changes in the seasons.

Have you ever seen the everlasting glade?
The glade of life
The glade of light
The glade that is always peaceful,
The old oak tree still in bloom
Where birds perch and sing
Of joys past and joys to come.

Have you ever seen the everlasting glade?
The glade where people walk in peace
They talk silent conversations
As they walk their silent walks.
The animals chatter to one another
As they go about picking berries,
Striking wood and all the other things animals do.

Have you ever seen the everlasting glade?
Trees of all shapes, sizes and kinds
Grow and absorb the sun.
The nights are cool and blissful
The stars shine high
And make their constellations
As the sun sings out another day.

Have you ever seen the everlasting glade?
When wintertime comes
When all is white and glistening
And the old oak tree covered in ice
When all is still and cold outside
Look inside and find warmth, happiness and movement all around
Find life still runs deep in the earth and deep in the hearts.

Have you ever seen the everlasting glade?
Look inside yourself
And find the glade
The glade that comes to life when you go forth to it
And the glade that dies
When you desert it
Look inside your heart and find your peaceful silence…

      26th May

Just the other side of the glass -
      a fingerprint away
      so clear to me
      but so unreachable.

I will call your name -
      hope that you can hear me
      knowing all the while
      that you can't.

Raging against the barrier -
      despite the fact
      that it's obvious
      it's impassable.

And although I cry so hard -
      I want you to know
      that inside, deep down
      I would rather have this pain..

...than never have known you.

Samara - The Ring

i think this is one of my best poems i've ever written. i love it to pieces.

Her long black hair billowed in the wind,
As her mother pushed her down the well,
The air rushing past her ears dinned,
As down the cold dark pit she fell,
Satan looked into her eyes and grinned,
She tried to scream, she tried to yell,
She did not know how she had sinned,
She hit the water, alive? She couldn't tell.

A long pause, then she opened her eyes,
Water greeted her, darkness too,
The lid slid closed, not to her surprise,
She was left alone, sealed in her tomb,
She clawed the walls, knowing it unwise,
She twisted and turned she had no room,
Blackness closed in it swallowed her cries,
Seven days she had, until she met with doom.

Always watching, never alone,
Too much silence, too little care,
In her sleep she writhes and groans,
A lost child, illness unknown,
She never speaks only ever stares,
Looks down listening to the drone,
From speakers on a wall that's bare,
Within the tests, seeds of madness sewn,
She plots and plans within her lair,
After cold torture, lunacy grown,
She kills them all still seated on her chair.

Aw, thanks you guys! Here is another I wrote during History class.

                    Nothing to fear
They want to believe. They want thee to believe, dearest love
-How the world is treacherous
Beneath its blue circle
Far more than is home life
But walking the wide world alone
I saw that the trees never once had disaccord with one another
Nor did a flower shun the others
Nor did the sky frown upon me
Or the wind scream and knock me down
The world and its dangers kept far from me
Me, with my loneliness
For I see clearly I am sundered from all this noise;
Cleaving only to the secret things which know only bliss and peace
But these things, which are always present
Will harm and hurt thee sadly
The rose is quiet
The wind may whisper
And the stream cools
So which will I choose?
It is not the world, which is perilous
But the heart of Man. And so will I come not
to fear the night, nor the day.
For there is naught to fear by the Moon or the Sun.

I'm a Christian.

Im entering this for my friend. Her parents died in a car crash (pretty horrific one too) and she wrote this poem:

On the old heath as i rise,
found by spirits across my eyes.
My love for them does not stop.
If they were alive i would be free.
Tame me as you did my heart,
but let no love enter now,
for i am broken as the bones of them.
Oh mother oh father come find me now,
take me to a far away place,
and let us stay forever in peace.

Woo I think I am the first to post..*Feels honoured* :P

I don't know how long I can hide these scars,
Messages to the dark and tears to the stars,
Only silence knows my cries,
You could never know how you hurt me with those lies,
I can hide my pain and agony,
I could hide again,
But I don't know how long I can prevail,
Against this darkness I feel so frail,
Always I thought I could be strong,
That some how I would struggle along.

But now I see the truth before me,
Now I see how life trully is,
Now I have begun this journey,
I don't know if I'm strong enough,
Strong enough to survive this fight,
This wind is too strong,
This current too tough,
I don't think I'm strong enough.

I tried so hard to fight my way through,
But sooner or later,
I had reached the end I knew,
How can I get through these new struggles which lie,
So far ahead yet no matter how I try,
I can't pick myself up again,
I can crawl along,
But to stand on my feet,
I need to be strong.

You think that I am something,
But can't you see you're wrong,
I see the truth before me,
I see these struggles ahead,
I know that I am not strong,
My heart has so many bruises already,
I know that I can't hold myself steady,
I don't think that I am strong enough,
Strong enough to survive this fight,
Strong enough to reach the end.

Then you came to me,
A sunshine to save me from the darkest night,
A saviour to save me from this fight,
Will you hold me steady on this road?
Will you hold me and not let go?
I feel so fragile and out of control,
Of my life and journey I feel so cold,
I need your arms to hold and guide me,
Because you my sunshine have brought new feelings inside me,
I plea to you,
Don't break my heart,
I beg to you,
Don't break my soul,
Because to you I would give my life and my all,
But to you I plea,
Don't ignore my call.

Can you tell me if I'm strong enough?
Can you see if I am wrong?
Will you help me through this life,
I love you with all my heart and soul,
I want to reach the end with you,
To be with you is my goal,
To be with you is what I want,
To be with you is what I need,
Being with you helped to stop my heart bleed.

Yeah it's a little long.. :-\

Journey on Shrooms

Ont t'train, eyes bleedin
pink flashes over turquoise skys
Snakes for shoe laces
faeries over my head build me a crown
Head bangin eyes bleedin

Plastic bag now a creature
scratching every ugly feature
devil eyes and witches nose
i didnt see as its hand rose
now its crawling  grabbing scratching
and its evil thoughts ar hatching

Head is banging eyes are bleeding
Cows now hang a from the ceiling
sheep are talking frogs are singing
in my head a bell a ringing

wings are appearing
head is searing
legs start running towards the edge

thoughts are leaking
hearts stopped beating
no longer banging in my head

Come walk the shadows of stories with me...

« #29 : April 10, 2004, 03:39:13 PM »

Early morning mist hovers,
As the red sun rises,
Above the grass.

Birds welcome the dawn,
From every branch,
In every tree.

A sense of life's slow awakening,
Stretching, an intake of breath,
Before the day ahead.

For how long?

Houses creep closer on all sides,
An industrial estate threatens trees,
Roads devour the hedges,
Concrete eating the grass.

For how long?
Before all the grass is gone,
Every tree uprooted,
Houses where the birds once sang.

How long before we see what we are doing?
How long before we see how to change?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Miles and miles of moorland,
An endless horizon.
Travelling for days and still,
No sign of man's work.
A fence.
The thin wires cut across the air,
Marking the end of one world -
The open world,
Trapping the land between the rails.
A black line on the horizon,
The end of your horizon.
First signs of man -
A fence,
Then a city.
Before you can blink,
Grasslands turn concrete,
Houses grow faster than any plant,
The fence moves closer.
A world shut off,
Separated,
Segragated.
Between one fence post and the next.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Darkness gathers outside,
As he sits,
Eating and drinking with friends.

A night of celebration,
And yet,
The shadow of knowledge hangs over him,
Knowledge of what is to come.

One here,
One who eats with him,
Will bring them upon him.
He can almost hear them outside.

Barely is the supper over,
Before the darkness closes,
On wings of hatred and fear.
To drag him to his death.

He goes quietly, with dignity,
Knowing what will come must be.
Yet surely dreading it,
How to sleep when pain immeasurable awaits on wakening?

Despite all this,
And what is about to befall,
He gives us his love,
And begs for forgiveness on our behalf,
We who killed him.

sorry its soo long :-X ::)

Deep within us we know the Truth, the only and the all. Yet did we know we had ths knowledge within us, our minds would not be able to cope, and so we recognise the fragments we see, and each call them by a different name. Yet it is all the same, one Truth..
