It was announced today :
the Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug will be released on December 13th, 2013..
And the Hobbit: There and Back Again will be released on July 18th, 2014..
the Hobbit: an Unexpected Journey is coming out on December 14th, 2012..

Yeah, my sister and I were talking about that the other day.. I said that perhaps they're going to include some history of Middle-earth.. Or they're going to have every single little detail included in the movies.. I also think they might be writing some new parts and perhaps scenes altogether.. It's hard to know, it could be one or several things..

Perhaps they wanted to make each film shorter?
I think some people complained about the length of the lotr films
So instead of 2 lotr sized films they now have 3 normal sized films
That, and Im sure money had a teeny part to play

Yes, perhaps the troll himself lost the ability to speak because of being down there for so long without any stimulation.. He was rather basic in his motions, too.. Suppose he just degenerated and regressed..

 New Zealand's capital city, Wellington, will be officially renamed "The Middle of Middle Earth" for three weeks around the premiere, to reflect its position at the heart of New Zealand's film industry, which now employs more than 3,000 people. Wellington's new logo (above) was designed by artist Daniel Reeve who worked on the calligraphy for The Hobbit films The new name will be reflected on postmarks on letters and the main local newspaper as the city "has been integral in bringing the fantasy world of JRR Tolkien to life on the big screen". |
