Well, you know what they say, people become more like their pets... and in this case, it could be stretched to favourite animals

But Mith, what's your issue with Mongeese? (is that the plural?) The headmistress at the school my gran went to, had a pet one. Called it Ricki-tiki-taki (Kipling reference) and used to walk round with it on her shoulder. I thought they're kind cute. Good to see ya, by the by!

According to that Banded Brothers program on the BBC, the plural of mongoose is apparently just mongoose. Like sheep and sheep and deer and deer. But that just seems dumb because of goose and geese, so I don't know which bright spark came up with that grammar.

Also, that pet mongoose sounds cute!!!
