I just thought I'd stop by to reminise aboot the ol' days on this site
as i remembered when age of the ring did their own version of Big Brother
and thought some people may be interested in this
but hasn't things around here changed! i miss the good old days

And owner changes.... Lordy...that stupid Blades guy whose "minion" I didn't get on with and our lovely E.G...who should have got this place to start with. It was horrible when Blades owned it...they just tried to turn it into another place to advertise their swords. 

Lol I never made a secret of not liking them...In fact, I think I remember being put on a temporary ban from the website for flaming them lmao....

Ah well... just as well I didnt get it from Lordy!  He wanted FAR too much money for it!  and seeing as using the site to gain money only gets you in trouble with the Tolkien Estate, Im kinda glad I didnt go down that route!

But yeah, those two really did my head in... I was determined to bring the site down on them  Was on msn trying to convince all my friends to join up and spam the place to heck lol...

...Did ANYONE really like it when they owned the place?

I remember being a mod at one point and going into...a board... and seeing people posting some not-very-nice stuff about me... that kinda upset me at the time, but the people that said it aren't really here anymore and i don't really give a damn now anyway lol. At least it made me grow up a bit - I saw things from the mods point of view (like spamming and how annoying it can be, and how careful you have to be about locking/moving certain topics so people dont think you're picking on them!) 

Nah but  the whole blades atmosphere was just "prison lock-down", in my opinion...all "you cant do that, you cant do this".... It was CRAP!

Lol. I hope I havent said too much, I tried to keep that discreet.

Oh, E.G, just to let you know, my brother might be willing to do some free advertising for you when he gets his new ISP server up and running properly.. Its going to have a homepage similar to Yahoo!'s one, and he said if you'd like he'd stick a flashy banner up for this site under "Entertainment Discussion Forums". I'll keep you up to date if you're interested?

i remember lordy & denise. they were the loveliest people. was really sad when they left, but i suppose all things have to come to an end at some point. i, too, wish E.G. had gotten the site after them. it's a shame, but i guess if the price was too high then tha's fair enough.
i don't really remember much bad stuff about the Blades people. although there was sort of a bit too much sword selling in some boards. i feel like this place is a lot more peaceful now...dunno why.
