The tongue of the High Elves in Valinor, the first to be recorded in writing. It was never widely used in Middle-earth except among the Noldor; the related Eldarin language, Sindarin, was more commonly spoken.

By the Third Age, Quenya had become, in Middle-earth, a language used only on formal or state occasions by the Elves and the descendants of the Númenóreans.

Z is for Zirak ~ a shorter Dwarvish name for Zirakzigil

A is for Arthedain ~ the westernmost region of the lost realm of Arnor; when that land was divided between the sons of Eärendur, Arthedain became a kingdom in its own right, and was ruled by Eärendur's eldest son Amlaith and his decendants.

B is for Bert ~ one of the three trolls that Bilbo and his companions met on their quest to the lonely mountain

C is for Camlost, ‘The Empty-handed’ ~ The name given to Beren after her returned  to Thingol's court from his Quest to obtain a  Silmaril. He had achieved the Quest set him by Thingol - a Silmaril was in his hand, but that hand had been bitten from his arm by Carcharoth the Wolf, still holding the Jewel.
