To start off with, I will explain why I love Lord of the Rings. 1. In my opinion, it is a love story, a action film, a slight bit of horror, and a brilliant adventure. So in a way, you are getting 4 things in 1 movie, which rocks ! 2. The different ways they have put across all the different lands and races in middle-earth, is absolutly extraordinary. 3. I adore Frodo Baggins, otherwise known as Elijah Wood. He was 18 years old when they started filming, so he left his life in USA, and his family, for 15 months, to short a trilogy, about a evil ring in New Zealand. That is one hell of a achievement. I am now going to give you some information, on the character Frodo Baggins. Full Name: Frodo Baggins Other Names: Mr. Underhill, The Ringbearer, and Nine Fingered Frodo. Age: Fifty Parents: Drogo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck Race: Hobbit (a mix of Harfoot/Fallohide) Physical Description: As hobbits go, Frodo is of medium hight with thick, curly brown hair. He is not as fat as the average hobbit. This is because the Fallohide in him makes him lighter skinned than a full-blooded Harfoot. A few short phrases about Frodo: Frodo is a curious fellow, which is rather extraordinary for a hobbit. He is an overall lovely person who cares about people/hobbits around him and is extremely fond of his uncle Bilbo. When Frodo was a youngster, his parents died in a boating-accident. He was then adopted by his uncle Bilbo, a wealthy bachelor. When Frodo had grown up, Bilbo departed from The Shire so he could experience his one, final adventure and left everything, including Sauron's Ring, to Frodo. Later, Frodo travelled to Rivendell to escape the pursuit of Sauron's forces. Underway, he was dealt a near-deadly blow from a Nazgűl. After his recovery in Rivendell, he volunteered to travel to Mordor and destroy the evil ring in The Cracks of Doom. Eight companions were chosen to follow him on this dangerous quest. He had many heroic adventures with and without The Fellowship before he reached Mt. Doom where he, in the moment of truth, claimed the ring for himself. Shortly thereafter, he was overtaken by the creature Gollum who bitt of his finger in a fight over the ring and fell himself into the fire. The One Ring had been destroyed. After The War of the Great Rings, Frodo was - for a while - the mayor of Michel Delving. But constantly feeling unfunfilled and rejected, he sailed over the seas with Gandalf and Bilbo.
