Good grief - what is that strange bright thing in the sky

The Met Office SAY (and we all know how reliable THEY are) that it is going to be both hot AND sunny with NO rain next week.  I'm not convinced.  Last weekend was St Swithin's day - 40 days of rain due I think.

  That strange bright thing in the sky burns; it burns us, precious!

Yes, I got burnt in my car yesterday!  I was only in it for 1 hour!!

  I get burned just thinking of being outside in the sun..

I set off at a brisk walk to go to the dentist, having been aircondtioning all day and therefore not really focussing on what the weather was like.  Melted into a greasy puddle after ten steps and did the rest of the journey slowly on the shady side of the street.

  Yeah, walking outside here is pretty unbearable, too..
