Teya opens the door and leads her to the kitchen. "Alons?" The servants stop. A young maid turns and smiles. An Older man looks over at her. "How can I help you Love?"
"Alons this is....."
"The little one has a new handmaiden? I thought she refused."
"She found this one herself. I need you to show her everything she is required to do in the kitchen. She has never been a maid before."
"Of course. I would be delighted to help you and the little one. My Char is with the horses right now If you would like me to send him....."
"If you don't mind." She smiles and he nods Teya leads Alanna to the great dining hall.

"The princess has a food taster. And the Kitchen maids bring the morning meal up to her chambers. You simply have to keep her company if I'm not around. The afternoon meal she dines with her father and mother. The evening meal is with the entire court. You shall not be present at either unless the princess requests you. If the princess wants you there then your job is simple. You stand behind her out of the way and refill her goblet. You shall fetch anyone she wants and bring them to her. You are to never speak unless spoken to in the presents of the King, Queen, or any member of the royal court." She turns and looks around she motions to a group of people at the other end of the hall. they come over and join them. "Everyone I'd like to introduce the princess's new handmaid."
"Pleased to meet you. I thought the princess......."
"We all did. Anyway I need you all to show her what to do alright? If she screws up them the king will either kill her or sell her as a slave."
"Don't worry Lovie we'll take care of her."
"Thanks Will."
