Topic Placement Guidance - Spam Control

There is confusion over what people can and cannot post in this board.

Please everyone remember that this board is here so that you can discuss your favourite hobbies, pastimes and sports & leisure.  This includes anything you do in your freetime for entertainment that doesn't fit into the other boards (ie is not music, cinematic or literature based).  The most common types of topics found here are:

• Computer games (consoles and PCs)
• Sports and outdoor activities (like horseriding and mountaineering)
• And animals such as pets.

I ask you to not post topics here that do not fall under the category of leisure and freetime.  If you wish to let everyone know about an acheivement or award at school for example, then please see this topic.  That's there for you to brag to the rest of the members about your acheivements in education.  Any other events in your life you wish to let everyone know about can be posted in the Newspaper.  Please don't do that here.  

If you wish to talk about things important in your life, that do not come under music, films or literature, please do not use this board to post whatever it is you want to share.  This is not a board for simply posting 'because it doesn't go fit into the other boards'.

To post things about yourself that don't come under the four categories of entertainment, then you can let everyone know by posting here.  Similarly, you can describe yourself and your interests personally here.

EDIT - Topics about playing musical instruments should go into the Music Board.

THAT kind of posts and offensive posts will be removed, so do not bother posting!
You are allowed to express your opinion if you like or don't like a song/band, but do it properly please with your reasons, etc ...

I would like to reiterate this point, and those same rules apply to this board as it does to the music board or the films board, or any other board.  Spam will not be tolerated.

Please note that while there are some words are censored, it doesn't mean that you can use them over and over again.  Swearing is not tolerated, whether it is censored or not.  Just use your common sense and try use words that are appropriate for all ages.

Please do not attack other peoples opinions either.  We are all entitled to our own, but if things start getting personal again on here, then your posts are likely to be removed.

And as Dill says about the swearing, it will not be tolerated.  It will either be removed or modified.  The censor is there for a reason, don't try and get round it by using fancy symbols
