I really like ROTK, it's my favorite book out of the 3. :)

I don't think the end is anti-climatic at all, or that the scouring of the Shire chapter was dull. Indeed, it's one of my favorite chapters in ROTK. :)

For some reason, I dislike all the Frodo chapters, until after he enters Cirith Ungol. The description of Barad-dur is rather captivating. :)

I too like the ending of rotk but I did enjoy the Frodo chapters. I though the erosion of his will was skilfully done
