I think that it's a good idea too. and seeing as i haven't read every said in this topic (but have read some) i have to say it is quite likely for your phone to get smashed, but it's also quite likely for the sim card to be ok. So they can easilly put the sim card into another phone.
And as someone said, they would ring someone in your address book anyway. And i'm pretty sure they'll look for a contact named "mum", "dad" or "home" how many people here don't have contacts named similar to that?
And another point that someone just told me. What if the person has locks on his/ her phone, so they can't get to the address book?

Yes but you could have a dozen numbers or more and which would be the right one.

yeah i have about 60 numbers in my phone book, most of which are probably people i havent seen for ages and have no clue who i am...
