  What if Aragorn and Éowyn ended up together?  How would that have affected Middle-earth?  What would have happened to Arwen?

  I was just reading the preface to the Fellowship of the Ring and in it it says that Tolkien contemplated pairing Aragorn and Éowyn together..  I'd like your opinion on what would have happened had they ended up together...
