Awesome, yeah I kind of figured it would have padding, but im with you, the more middle earth the better!

Think I'm going to go see it either tomorrow or Boxing day, very excited

  I saw it just the other day and I LOVED it..  Such a great movie and quality acting..  My fave dwarf is definitely Kili..  I expected my favorite to be Thorin, but he wasn't as appealing to me as I thought he would be..  I'm so excited for the next two, but unless they release the next one early then we have to wait an entire year!    I'm looking forward to maybe seeing it in the theater again, but I'm even more excited about it coming to dvd; hope that's soon..

Yeah usually doesn't take too long for films to come out on DVD nowadays...

Didn't get to see it yesterday in the end, but im sure i will soon!

I've just come back from watching it and it was superb!

  Evidently there were come critics who totally slammed everything in the movie..  I say they're either die hard fans who are too obsessed with getting every single minute detail exactly how it was in the book OR they're lackadaisical about it and therefore can't appreciate the masterpiece that it is..

Feeling mighty sorry for myself as I have not yet got to see it - having to care for my very elderly and now very infirm mother and simply cannot get out at all over the holiday.  My son, a Media student, went to see it as a college trip on the 'giant screen' in Birmingham (it's not an IMax there anymore, merely a 'giant screen', it seems) and he loved it.  I'm assuming it will still be on in early January and I might be able to go then, when we finally get a care package sorted out for the mater.

FINALY went to see it last night. Unfortunately my girlfriend isn't the biggest tolkien fan, so it's taken a lot of persuasion, but we finally went!

Loved it, thought it was really good, possibly a little slow to get going but it more than made up for it.

Really liked the Bilbo / Gollum scene. Thought it was really well done

I went to see this over the christmas period and again last night, utterly impressed I want to see it again!

I CANT wait until the extended version DVD is available!

so caught up in the middle earth magic, I've sat and watched the three extended editions of LOTR this week whilst trying to get over the dratted norovirus...and then also found my way back here (after 6 attempts to remember my password...)

  And I also thought the movie was spectacular!  I am excited about seeing it again soon..    It's going to be a long wait for the release of the second installation though..

I know!  I got back from the film and sat down and read the book and then sat there trying to work out how the various scenes might look.  Then went back and looked through PJ's video blogs again (with the odd "Ooh, now I know where that bit goes" together with the odd "Hum, still can't work out where that fits" and the occassional "Ooh, now I REALLY want to see that bit").  I also can't wait for the extended edition DVD (at least two scenes in the trailer that were not in the movie) but sometimes that comes out after the main DVD, so that's a longer wait as well *throws tantrum*  I'm not good at being patient!

  I'm not particularly good at it either..    But alas!  We are forced into such action as goes against our grain..

Anne! I did the same thing! Re-read the book then went searching out anything hobbit movie related to try and figure out how good the next movie will be!  I've decided it'll be great...brillaint.. epic even... but it also means i'm even less paitent about waiting for it!!
