Maxxie looked from Avril to Bret to Tony and raised an eyebrow "World's gone crazy..." He said  mainly to himself. He narrowed his eyes not wantin Bret to attack Tony or anything. Although Bret did look like he was about to throw a punch. He bit his lip "How about we all have...some...Pepsi?" He asked Pepsi being the only thing he had close at hand and he did not want to deal with bloody noses and split lips right now

Bret looked over at Maxxie. "Stay outta this, fag boy." Bret then turned his attention back to Tony and then shoved him. "Don't even stand near me...you freak."

Avril stood there, gob-smacked...how could Bret say something like that? She couldn't think of something to make Bret leave tony alone.

Tony frowned at his brother stumbling back and falling having not expected that. He sat there for a moment stareing at Bret. He'd thought at least his brother would be on his side, he'd heard what he said to Maxxie, and still had hoped...it was stupid to hope. He looked away to hide the tears in his eyes hateing them because he never cried. He stood and brushed himself off nodding once still not looking at anyone, "Fine..." he said and turned, walking away deeper into the house towards the stairs just wanting to get away.

Maxxie glared at Bret and shook his head "Your pathetic man" He said as he took Avril's hand and ran after Tony "Tony wait!" He called after him narrowing his eyes "Man" He said as he grabbed Tony's hand and pulled him back "Hey are you alright?" He asked genuinly concerned. He bit his lip. When he had come out to his family it had not been this bad. Maxxie glanced at Avril and then at Tony

Tony was a little surprised when Maxxie took his hand and he turned looking at the two of them and biteing his lip. "I'll be fine." he said softly with a shrug. "Didn't go as expected...or did...depends on what day you ask me." he said trying to make a joke and failing horribly. He looked away from them trying to make it so they didn't see how much it had bothered him.

Avril looked back at Bret, disgusted that he would just disown his brother. She had always loved having Maxxie around and never saw anything wrong with him, if anything, he was better than a girl best friend. She looked at Tony, seeing how much he was hurting. She smiled at him reassuringly and then flung her arms around Tony. "Forget him, you got me and Maxxie, that's all you need."

Bret walked quickly after Tony, Maxxie and Avril. He stared at Avril as she hugged Tony. He growled with his fist clenched and trying to stop himself from doing anything stupid.

Maxxie smiled at Avril and nodded "She's right man..and when she's right...she is definatly right" He said as he stepped towards Tony and hugged him after Avril was done. He knew Bret was not far behind and he would probably attack him for hugging Tony, But he did not care. He held the hug for a moment and smiled "Im glad your gay" He whispered into Tony's ear.

Bret then watched as Maxxie hugged Tony. He lost it, he stormed up to Maxxie and pulled him away from his little brother, but also pushing Avril to the side. "It's been you, hasn't it! You're the one that's been putting the thoughts in his head, turning him gay!"

Avril stumbled as Bret pushed her, she was only small and he was a huge quater back with so much strength. She hit the corridor wall with a loud bang.

Tony went to Avril grabbing her before she could fall and turning to glare at Bret, "Leave him alone! It wasn't him, it wasn't anyone! It's me Bret! My choice My life, I've known for years now!" he said his voice showing his anger as he moved towards him his arm wrapped around Avril's waist before he let go and stepped between Bret and Maxxie getting into his brother's face, "Leave him alone." he said his voice now deadly calm.

Maxxie's eyes narrowed at Bret and he suddenly laughed taking a step back as Tony came between them "You seriously have no brains Bret..I mean seriously...how could I turn your brother gay?" He asked as he put a hand on Tony's shoulder "I could..try seduce him.." He said thoughtfully. He  shook his head "I may try seduce him" He said as he turned on his heel and headed for another door

Bret pushed Tony away. "You're not my brother...you can't be. My brother wouldn't be gay." He watched as Maxxie walked off, not knowing what to say to him. He was so confused right now, he couldn't think of one of his normal witty comebacks. He looked at Avril, hoping she would side with him.

Avril glared at Bret. "If you do one more thing...I will...I will...throw you out of a window!" Avril growled lowly at him, as if warning him to never come near her again, she was so annoyed with the way he was treating Maxxie and Tony. She walked off and kept close to Maxxie and Tony.

Tony glared at Bret and nodded, "Wouldn't want to be brother to a homophobe jeark, You stay away from me and my friends Bret." he said coldly and walked away from him catching up with Maxxie and Avril and linking arms with both.

Maxxie glanced at Tony and smiled he was happy that someone was finally standing up to Bret. He pushed the door open and stepped into another room. He looked around and raised an eyebrow "This place is really disgusting" He noted as he unlinked his arms from Tony and  walked around it. Looking at the old furniature and the moss which was growing on them "Urgh"

Avril looked around the room. She laughed to herself. "This room reminds me of a guy I dated!" Avril smiled, trying to lighten to the mood and make everyone forget about the arguement that just happened.

Bret sighed as he stood all alone. He was never alone, he had always had people around him. He slowly walked after them, but didn't go in the room, he just stood outside, he could have left, but he was gonna get Avril on his side if it killed him.

Tony chuckled and shook his head at her, "Hope it was only a one time thing." he said smiling at her. He looked around and saw the bookshelves, "Library or study of sorts." he said thoughtfully moving over to look at the titles of the books.
