Even the smallest star shines in the darkness

So I have heared!

I have only actualy read Book one...

And I enjoyed it but it didn't strike me as overly amazing.

Are the others any better?

Soon as the evening shades prevail,
The moon takes up the wondrous tale,
And nightly to the listening earth,
Repeats the story of her birth.

Whilst all the stars that round her burn,
And all the planets, in their turn,
Conform the tidings as they roll,
And spread the truth from pole to pole.

I LOVE the Dark Tower Series!!! You are talking about the Stephen King novels aren't you?
I nearly died when Stephen King got hit by that car and almost killed!! I thought we weren't going to ever get the end of the series! Oh how awful of me! Poor Stephen!
(Anyone else notice how he threw that experience into his stories after it happened?)
But anyway...I couldn't help but be reminded of the Dark Tower while watching the LOTR, and I would have to agree that I probably like the Dark Tower better...sorry LOTR fans  :-\
It could be because I read the book series before I saw or read LOTR...???

Threw you the obvious and you flew with it on your back. Difficult not to feel a little bit disappointed and passed over when I've looked right through to see you naked and oblivious and you don't see me. But i threw you the obvious just to see if there's more behind the eyes of a fallen angel, the eyes of a tragedy. Here i am expecting just a little bit too much from the wounded. But i see through it all and see you. So i threw you the obvious to see what occurs behind the eyes of a fallen angel, eyes of a tragedy. Oh well. Apparently nothing. You don't see me. You don't see me at all.

I suppose it's just because it was such a big thing, had a huge impact on his life.

I don't think he mentioned it in Cell did he???

Cell wasn't too bad. It's been a while since I read it now, back in November. I wouldn't say it was his best novel by any means, but nevertheless I had to finish it! A bit gory in some places.
