I'm not sure for how many of those cases in the summer months BST is responsible.

All I think is that DST is pointless. Utterly pointless. There is no need for it. It's a superfluous nuisance.

I was talking about this with my mam the other week.
I'm kinda for and against this. Sounds stupid I know but I am.
And also my knowledge on this is a tad rusty so bare with me.
If we in the UK went an hour ahead, we would probably have an hour longer in the day..
not sure if that made sense but meh.
I also find it rather pointless to change the hours around as well cos it's tradition I guess.

Lucky for all us Americans, this year they decided to do Daylights savings time two weeks early this year. What. A. Pain. Fooling with the time for the benefit of who? No one has a good answer. It was a disaster. Having to change the clocks early- and a lot of newer clocks (cell phones, computers, etc) should change automatically. Some did, some didn't. And two weeks later, when DST USUALLY starts- Some of the automatic ones changed AGAIN. I was a victim of that, getting up an extra hour early before realizing it. No one was happy, and no one understands the reasoning.

Having an entire nation change what they're used to is ridiculous.
