The Enclyopaedia of Arda is running a Treasure Hunt competition

We've hidden twenty great prizes all over Middle-earth. Two have already been discovered, but somewhere on our treasure map, there are still nine boxsets of Howard Shore's Complete Recordings for The Fellowship of the Ring, and nine copies of the Interactive Edition of the Encyclopedia of Arda. All you have to do to claim one of these prizes is guess where we've hidden them on the treasure map.

I entered this. Annoyed I didn't win anything despite the fact my guess was Lond Daer and one of them were there.

Did you win one EG? (I was after a copy of The Encyclopaedia of Arda as I already own The Complete Recordings).

Wow!! I entered Lond Daer too! Though I presume it was a rather rough guess, since I didn't win. The thing is that their map is a bit different to mine.

Ive always been tempted to get ARDA on CD/DVD  but the one thing thats put me off, is the fact that its faster to look things up online... I think Id only end up getting it, to show my support for Arda!

I've thought about it before as well. But I just wonder if it's a silly amount of money for something which might not be that much better than the original which I can get online anyway. Not to mention the fact I have so very many books.

I love the Complete Recordings and when I am at the laptop, it is playing almost continuously on the stereo. The only problem now is that I am getting rather impatient for The Two Towers and The Return of the King versions. It is amazing just how very superior the CDs are compared with the original Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack. They really are incredible. Not to mention that now we can get the full lyrics online now (including the track with the elves walking to the Grey Havens).

Im looking forward too to the next 2 in the series.. but to be honest the FOTR is always going to be my favourite... probably coz that film is!

I know, it's amazing, especially the lyrics for The Passing of the Elves. It's a shame that they weren't released with the CD, unfortunately.

Have you head anything about a complete recordings for The Two Towers or The Return of the King?

no sadly.. I search around every now and again, but really until Reprise make an announcement, we probably wont find out, especialyl since Howard Shore's official website is still under construction

its wierd that that thing says its packaged with the Complete Recordings... wonder if the USA got it
