After having re-read the book one, thanx to K8's quiz, I believe that the Enwives if they are still to be found in Middle-earth dwell somewhere near the Shire. Why no in the Old Forest for example? There are the ungrown paths that no one is walking and the trees that show signs of activity. The Old Man Willow that grows or lives, that's perhaps a more suitable word, on the bank of the Withywindle did move. This probability of the envives being in the Eriador seems to be more solid than of them being somewhere in the East somehow.
