I'm a servant of the Secret Fire!

He did this to me before! Earlier in the year he had a talk about his book in Bristol on a weekday so I couldn't go... and he's gone and done it again!

I would really like to have spoken to him about his book (as the opportunity did not present itself at Tolkien 2005) as I thought it was very good indeed. It does have genuine scientific merit but isn't too hard so as you can't understand it. It's very engrossing - you find yourself reading and reading and reading to find some explanations to the unexplainable until you reach the end, wishing for more!

I have two quibbles with this book: it wasn't long enough; and he can't spell Middle-earth.

(I'm not sure if returning to cornflowerblue is such a good idea with all these different skins. Send opinions to the usual address.)

EDIT: It appears cornflowerblue doesn't work anyway.

EDIT 2: Oh, yes it does. It's just being picky with the hash.
