I don't have that book, although, I do have A Guide to Tolkien by David Day, and I would highly recommend it!

david day is a bit, dubious, in terms of his integrity, he does tend to put words into tolkiens mouth.

it's a bit 'what tolkien meant to say' if you know what i mean?

he presents his own interpretations of the books as researched facts.

I have 'Tolkien - the Illustrated Encyclopedia' by David Day and it's pretty good although I don't like the artwork in it (not John Howe or Alan Lee)  :dry:

i think most fans tend to look upon most of his work with some disregard although i've never read any myself.

The problem with David Day is he espouses his own opinions without any real basis on fact.  So his books can be quite good to read, but I wouldnt quote his work myself.

Same here!! I havent read it but Iv looked threw it for about 5 mins! before i had to leave the shop!  :( lol didnt have enough money to buy it now I cant get back to this shop too far away and cant find it anywhere else
