I think ur pic of sauron and ancalagon is like looking at a pic by tolkien himself.  I can almost feel like i can sense their personalities.

wow those are great dagger, how did you do the sky and what kind of materials did you use. have you got a art gcse or some thing cos wow

No, I've got no qualifications in art. Those pictures are sketches I made, scanned into the computer, with the colours added in an editing program. The sky and the other shading in most of them I do by a tedious method using contrast and smudge tools (I could probably use better methods, but I'm too stuck in my ways for that ).

Sam i just looked at your artwork and i must say it's not what i expected, it's incredible, its so imaginative and you make great use of colour. Your LOTR animation thingy scared me slightly though (only cuz of the nunnery bit - have a huge phobia of nuns -dont ask)

I've sold some others, non-LOTR related, yes. I was looking into doing some more in acrylics and selling them on eBay.

There've been several really good artists on this site in the years I've been there. I wonder if their works are still up in the main section of the site?
