Every bit of Middle Earth art I've done to my recollection I've given to Uryviel, but I have this:

Which is a drawing of Smeagol (look at the eyes) I done one night based on the little statue of Gollum in the Two Towers boxset.

(PS: Dagger, those are absolutely fantastic, ESPECIALLY Balrog! Smiley)

Those are wonderful pieces Dagger. You have a real talent. And Optimus, you have captured the essence of Smeagol perfectly.

Hello Canis! Long time no see. I haven't forgotten the stunning, incredible artwork you posted when you were before. I hope you're painting still?

Cheers guys, people actually remember me, lol. cheesy

Anyway, Approaching Caradhras and the Rivendell by night are both new pieces completed this summer. I'm back onto the animal art for the time being but I'll do more Tolkien inspired stuff when I redevelop the urge for it.

Canis that picture of Shadowfax is inspiring! Exactly as he should look!  cheesy

and I love the atmosphere in your artwork Dagger, it feels as though you're actually there in the action.

There are some really talented people out there... I wish I was anywhere near as good...  Roll Eyes

Don't suppose anyone's particularly bothered, but for what their worth, here are two of the only LOTR themed pics that I have on my PC at this time:

http://www.geocities.com/longshotsboxers/art/angmar-art-CROWN2sharp.jpg

http://www.geocities.com/longshotsboxers/art/mouth-art-sharp-sign.jpg

The first pic is basically just a profile study of the WiKi (in 'true form') that I originally started as a prep sketch for another bigger piece (which, as it happens, I haven't actually got around to doing much to yet! grrrr)!. It's a rather odd picture, but I guess I was just trying to convey the sense of flawed nobility that I've always associated with the character. I'll shut up about him before I get carried away though... *cough*
The second pic was based entirely on the WETA bust of the MoS, as you can probably tell, but it was only after I finished colouring the damn thing that I realised I'd made some pretty major errors in the initial drawing (namely with the shape of the top most part of his helm and with the positioning of the buttons on his collar). I'm just so lazy that I can't be bothered to try and correct them now. lol.... maybe another time.

I do have some more stuff lurking around here, but unfortunately, most of it is too big to scan in and too shiny (the paint, that is) to photograph properly. Am working on a couple more pieces at the moment though.
