The choices of Hobbits and Elves

cassandra turned and picked up her bag, it's contents diminished since she'd set out, now she came to think of it she'd seen no-one eat or even drink for a long time, she just hoped that they could soon leave for the shire and restock their supplies soon, she nodded at blaen, agreeing finding horses for all of them would prove difficult, "could there not be another way to get to the shire? is our only hope on foot?" she asked, hoping for another answer

*The sides of Eleclya's lips curved very slightly into a weak smile* "We won't be travelling on foot and I wouldn't worry about transport, I have something sorted" *She told them* "You'll find out what I mean soon"

[Amarie]

(hey guys - sorry I didn't post much lately - and .... bad news, I won't be able to post much or at all in August. I'm going to California on holiday and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to use the internet at all... Please, just take Amarie along and whenever you need to write for her, just do so.... See you all in Septenber and have a nice time until then!)

Amarie looked at Eleclya, puzzeled. "Are you sure?..." she asked carefully. Then fell silent and waited what would come next.

"Quite sure" *Eleclya said, her smile growing slightly* "I think everyone's about ready now so I'll go get my things then we can leave" *She disappeared back into the cave, glancing at Sam and Nienna* "We'll be setting off shortly" *She informed them before picking her small bag of belongings and emerging from the cave again. She stopped just in front of the others and concentrated, closing her eyes. After a moment she opened them and turned to the the small group* "They'll be here soon"

Legolas wacthed everyone eggerly, he finsihed of cleaning his sword and threw the silk back to Metharius "Thanks" he smiled then placed the things on his back more confertably. "I knew you'd come up with something...you never fail to impress to do!, Just the way we like you" he smiled warmly at her then walked over to Cassondra. He hadn't really spoken to her since they had told eachother how they both felt, "Hey..all set?" he asked her trying not to let the nervousness fall into his voice as he spoke.

cassandra smiled, "yeah, i'm ready," she looked up into his face and sensed he was nervous so she leant forward and squeesed his hand

Legolas felt slightly relived in how Cassondra had kind if broken the ice "Thanks" He smiled, he didnt really no why he said this but it made him feel better. "So...wonder if we're travling in stype?"

[Blaen]

"Style is not important legolas, speed is of the essence" Meltharius said looking torward the distance.

Legolas laughed slightly, looking at Metharuis then at everyone else. Over the last few months Legolas felt that Metharuis had changed in some way, he wasn't how he used to be or maybe it was Legolas who needed to change he didn't know. "Either way we shell not be walking" he signed "What if we get to the beloved shire and something tragic had happened, heaven forbid but its a possability"

[Blaen]

"A probability would be a more apt word" Meltharius thought. He drew his blade from it's sheath and passed the edge along the palm of his hand, blood oozed from the razor thin gash. He allowed the blood to fall to the ground. "I give my blood to the earth that has drank the blood of my comrades" he whispered.

[Samwise Gamgee]

Sam slowly walked out to the others, his head bent low, his bag slung over one shoulder. He didn't understand what Eleclya meant by, 'They'll be here soon'. Who would be here soon?! Were they going to be a help or not? Sam was confused by many things right now. He accidently overheard Meltharius and Legolas talking... it seemed the others also didn't have high hopes for the Shire. Sam sighed softly, staring out over the countryside. He knew he didn't belong in this group of friends, that he was just a nuisance.

[Midge Modge]

Legolas glanced at Metharuis before noticing Sam had arrived into the scene. He had not really spoken to him since this had all happened, Walking over to him smiling broudly sitting on a near by rock so he was more his leave "You ok? I haven't been able to speak to you since everything has happened...Without you we would have lost some very dear friends and I can't thank you enough for that. You maybe small but you certainly have skill with a sword and a big heart." he smiled warmly down at him "I am honoured to have meet someone like you, to have someone with such bravary in my life...I just hope that what others are saying aren't true, about your friends. If they are your friends surly they will be as proud of you as we are!" Legolas patted Sam's back "I don't think I have ever been to the Shire..what is it like my good man?" he asked ceriously.

[Samwise Gamgee]

Sam looked up at Legolas, a fake smile on his face, blushing slightly at what Legolas said. Legolas was still taller than him, even when he was sitting on a rock!  "The Shire?" He asked, trying to think of how to describe it. There were so many thoughts running through his head about the Shire. Like taking children for piggy backs across the fields, having a ale with your friends after a hard day's work, the Old Gaffer... Rosie Cotton! "Quite simply, it's home," Sam said softly. Sure Legolas must know what he meant when he said that... there was no place in the world like home.

[Midge Modge]

Legolas smiled once again "Sounds wounderful...No place better then home!" He said walking off the rock and adjected his things "Can't wait...Im sure we will be made highly welcome, No matter how tall I am I will always look up to Hobbits" He spoke before one final glance at the cave and where they were. Walking over to Metharius he placed one hand onto his shoulder "You once again fort well my friend as you always have and will" he smiled then turned to look at Sam again before speaking to Metharius "Is Sam ok? He's not himself"

*Nienna emerged from the cave, shielding her eyes with her hand as her sight collided with the brightness coming off the sun. Thinking about it, it hardly seemed like there was a battle the day before, except from the wreckage of Minas Tirith. As the Elf looked over at the once great white city she let a sorrowful sigh escape her lips for the dead. Even though she hadn't lost any of her friends, many men had died and Rhinvan was gradually winning, most of the elves had left, the race of men had almost disappeared into nothingness, Dwarves still dwelt in their mines and Hobbits they didn't know about, but Nienna could tell the others feared the worst.
 She dropped her hand to her side as she looked up, squinting her eyes slightly as they adjusted to the light. In the near distance she could see winged creatures making their way towards them. For one dreaded moment she thought the worst, she thought that they were Dragons. But as the creatures drew closer, she could tell they weren't. She sighed with relief. The Eagles who aided them in the last battle of Minas Tirith, were now making their way towards them*

*A smile spread across Eleclya's face as she saw the approaching Eagles. Then she turned back to the others, she knew she hadn't given a lot away and kept them guessing but she didn't want to talk nor did she feel the need to* "The Eagles are here" *She told them* "Thankfully, they have agreed to take us to The Shire"
