Amarie thought again about what the girl had said. 'Fight to the death'- was she prepared to die? She had never thought about her own death, although she was not unfamiliar with death. She well knew that not everyone could be healed. But to die herself....or one of her close friends. This was unimaginable.

She said to them "I shall get my brothers" She ran out of the room, and, within a few minutes had returned with, at least 15 tall men "These," she pointed to the men "are my brothers, and this," she pointed to the eldest looking, most skilled looking and tallest boy "is Eldarion"

Blaen exhanged a quick glance with Faramir. He would of course let Eldarion lead the armies of Gondor but he was young, and no way near as experience as either Faramir or himself.

Meltharius nodded but said nothing.
