M is for Menegroth ~ underground caves upon river Esgalduin in Doriath, the palace of king Thingol. Translated as ‘Thousand Caves’

V is for Valandil ~ the fourth son of Isildur who was born in the same year the last alliance of elves and men was formed to fight Sauron in the Second Age

W is for Wold ~ a region of Rohan, the northern part of  the East Emnet. Anglo-Saxon ‘emnet’ means ‘plain’.

Y is for Yéni ~ main length of time used by the elves, with one yén being equivalent to 144 years

B is for Bard ~ known as Bard The Bowmen, and famous for slaying Smaug
