Yep, and Steve had me fooled when I saw that trailer. Should have looked at the page to see that it's not the ACTUAL TRAILER. :-[ They should have used that music in the movies! Would have been AWESOME to hear that! But didn't they use that in the ROTK trailer, that song? :-\

I check in every now and then.

yeah! they used it in the TTT trailer, dont think they used it in the ROTK trailer.

Requiem for a Dream, beautiful!  They used it in the trailer because there wasnt time to compose anything new for the trailer, so found that music, its from another film, instead.

Shame, I think it fits Helms Deep SO WELL!

As Phillipa Boyens said on the DVD's the books still exist, by creating the movies Peter Jackson have not destroyed the book's memory or in any way tried to be better than the books. The books are still out there and will always be forever. The movies are just an interpretation.

But a very good and loyal interpretation of the books.

I trust that if the Hobbit were made Peter Jackson would not give in to any pressure from studios or executives....he would do what he knows best and that is to stick to the spirit of the books.

He'd bring all the characters to life so much. It would be brilliant to see Thorin, Beorn, Smaug etc....

Ian Holm would be fantastic as Bilbo again.

There are extra scenes from The Hobbit that appear in The Unfinished Tales. Maybe those would be brought to the screen and be included in The Hobbit. If it ever gets made.

All I'm gonna say is vodka, tunes, LOTR and rock on!

Oy, I hope they make it.

And I shall be telling this with a sigh
somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood and I,
I took the road less traveled by
And that has made all the difference.

Of course Peter Jackson will make the Hobbit. It's obvious lol.

I think it's going to be an excellent movie, as I am sure, alike to the trilogy.

I also think that Peter Jackson definately ( obviously ) know's what to use, especially with WETA on board with this too :)

A slimmed-down Jackson, who arrived in Sydney yesterday, was asked today how long it would be before he started production on The Hobbit.

Advertisement:
"Three or four years would be accurate, I would say," Jackson said.

The rights to J R R Tolkien's novel, The Hobbit, are split between two major Hollywood studios, MGM and New Line Cinema.

Jackson said he was keen to return to Middle Earth for The Hobbit but that MGM's sale to Sony Corporation made the project's future unclear.

"I think there is probably a will and a desire to try and get it made," he said.

"But I think it's gonna be a lot of lawyers sitting in a room trying to thrash out a deal before it will ever happen."
