Title: Kelley Armstrong
Post by: Theo on December 01, 2009, 03:03:27 AM
Anyone read the Summoning or the Awakening?

I like them both very much..  I thought they were easy to read, but not too kiddy as to be uninteresting..  And the plot twists, while predictable and sometimes cheesy, I though they were both good reads..

Can't wait for the Reckoning to come out in APR..

I've seen them in the store but I haven't read them before.  What's the plot like?

The plot is good..  Somewhat predictable, but that doesn't detract from the books at all..  It's easy to read and follow, which is good for me..  :P

I guess I said all that before..  :8o

The story is about this girl who finds out she has the power of necromancy..  It's about her and her friends, who also have special powers, escaping the evil grasp of these "doctors" who want to run tests on them..

I'm about to run out of books to read, so maybe I will check them out.  Sometimes light reads are much needed after reading boring textbooks.   :D

I believe that!  Text books are some serious (and boring) reading..

I'll have to strongly agree with you on that.  Right now I am reading an ARC copy of a book called Birthmarked by Caragh M. O'Brien.  So far it's pretty good.
