Title: Advertise?

I was just looking over some stuff here and seeing not many people have been coming on which is most saddening. But I was thinking how about we go on an advertising rampage to try re-kindle this old place?

Obviously advertise in places that are relevant and all that  :)

It might be a good idea to advertise the holy heck out of this site when The Hobbit is closer to release, LOTR was able to attract a ton of attention onti this site way back in 2001, I see no reason why a  remodelling job can't bring it back to life.

Maybe even a name change? Just a thought though. :)

as for a name change, well. that wld mean getting a new domain name and after all the trouble with Tolkien when the site was callled lordofthering.co.uk  not sure i wanna go down that route...

  Oh, yeah..  Name change would be more trouble than it's worth..  But advertising on Google or Yahoo might be worth it..

How about having a facebook page or group for the forum as well? because when people start searching for Hobbit/LoTR 'pages' when the films come out, it would advertise the site a bit more?

Already done! Although I only have EG and Edge on fb. bizarrely though, an old friend ofmine liked it, someone I only got back in contact with a couple of years ago... If turns out she was on here all that time... :o
