ULTIMATE FRISBEE??! woooo
Just wondering whether there are any other players of the game on here, or whether anyone knows what I'm going on about at all.
Team I play for is DISCO, see what we did there ;)

As you can see, our team take's our frisbee seriously (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y161/IanMilliner/Ultimate%20Frisbee/DSC00912.jpg) ::) :P

As I recall, you run like crazy during an ultimate match. Those costumes, although admittedly way cool, would seem to restrict the players after a while. Does the other team have to dress up too?

There is a certain amount of running involved, usually into walls in the indoor tournies. ::)
You kind of move with the disc as you would in netball, i.e. not moving when you've got the frisbee in your hand, and score like in american football by catching the frisbee in the other teams endzone.
And nah, twas just us that did the dressing up in superhero costumes, and only for the one tournament. Think they managed to finish 5th in that one, out of about 14.

Some uni's, like mine aka uwe actually allow non uni members to join as 'associate members'.
We hosted our own tournament some weeks ago now, Disco Inferno, and our team came fifth out of twelve which meant we came home with some silverware. Not sure if it looked a little suspect with our team winning a prize at our own tournament, but hey, twas all good fun. Plus we liked to think of it as an international tournie as there was a team from Ireland entered.
