Title: Slash code is not working..
Post by: Theo on November 30, 2006, 10:28:56 AM
I've noticed that the slash code doesn't work..  :-\  I wasn't sure if I was the only one to notice or not..  But everytime I try to use the slash code this happens..

  Blah blah poo blah blah..

I don't know why it's doing it, but something about the word censor replacing Deľs name with her mouse pic is making it go all haywire..  :^  Or something..  :8o  All I know is that her picture code pops up everytime I attempt to use the slash code..

I realize that it could probably be anyone's pic that pops up and it may just be a coding error with the word censor thing, I dunno..  -shrug-  But I thought I should mention it..

OH HEY!!  How about that!  (http://www.theodwyn.com/pics/images/rofl.gif)  Oh my gosh, that is hilarious!!!!!  It only does it in the preview!!  That is so messed up..  Hehehehehe..    (http://www.theodwyn.com/pics/images/rofl.gif)

This is what it was doing..  :P

Code: [Select]
  Blah blah <>poo blah blah..
Okay, so totally disregard this topic as it is now completely irrelevant..  ::)

I know!  ;D  Tell me about it..

I was just totally confused as to why it was screwing up, which is why I was going to let you know..  And then the next thing I know it actually works and it was only in the preview that it was all screwy..

I thought it was actually quite hysterical when I found out because I had been avoiding the slash code for a while and didn't even need to be!  (http://www.theodwyn.com/pics/images/rofl.gif)

I'd LOVE to see a copy of the censored word / word-replace list. I've noticed some REALLY odd words that switch out for "flibble" of late.

"flashback", being one example. I also found that making certain intra-forum links causes the same problem (ex. linking to topics within this site)

It would be interesting to know what all is on the censored word list, though if things that shouldn't be censored are messing up, then there's no knowing why it's changing random words to flibble..

we showed you the censored list in the mod realm.... a while back, when we all discussed what was going on it.

ive no idea why odd words change.. it seems something to do with the number of characters sometimes (url links sometimes show it).....  reckon its the forum having a laugh with us!

There are some of us, EG, who've got bad memories..  :[  :8o  :-\  ::)  :P

And I believe it!  The forum, I'm sure, gets its jollies every single day doing something to someone..  ;D
