We’re just friends
I can’t help but feel the same

My heart still bares your name.
I can’t help but think about
Your sweet smile.
The way you hold me.
All our differences,
we reconcile.
And how much I do not compare.
To all your other friends.
And even though
This is true
Upon you I can still depend.
I’m just some other
Person
Of whom you pass the time.
Of which you’d commit no crime with.
Or kiss softly on the lips.
Because I knew deep down
Inside my very, aching heart.
That I am not destined to be yours.
