...stood down as Liberal Democrats leader today.
*standing ovation for Charlie*

He was so totally bullied out of that post, as if he hasnt got enough problems already.

I think it might have had something to do with the fact that he kept saying he didn't have a drink problem right up until he admitted that he did have a drink problem. We only like our politians to like about things like polictics, not their personal lives.

I think he did a respectful thing standing down. I mean I wouldn't and don't blame him for denying he had a alcohol problem. If I was him I wouldn't want the whole of the British Public knowing I had one. Good on him.

While he had a drinking problem, did it really cause so much political problems that he needed to stand down? I'm not a member of the lib dems obviously and I'm not an MP so I can't say anything about, but from my own perspective, i would say it would.
He stood down but who will step up apart from one person?

Umm, about any career aspiring politicians within the Liberal Democrats, bellend.

Why the flibble where our posts deleted?
Okay then I'll give a structured answer to please the nazis.
Well Philip, at the time of posting I was unaware of any challenges to the challenger for the leadership of the Liberal Democrats party, so as such, I was waiting for someone to run for leadership within the party.
