Title: MAJOR FORUM UPGRADE

I have been working offline in getting the forum ready for the next major forum upgrade, to bring it inline with the latest release of SMF

In order to put this into place, I will have to take the forum into Maintenance Mode (which means only Admin can access it) for about an hour

I intend to do this within the next 24 hours.

the forum has now been upgraded

currently only the Mainsite Blue theme has been adapted to use the  new features available

this is the default theme, and I'll be working on upgrading the other 12 themes as i go ;)

Please post in here, if you spot anything that is missing :D

A Few of the New Features

(apart from the forum running faster ;) - if you have one of the converted themes!)

(http://www.ageofthering.com/forum/Themes/Imladris/images/icons/modify_inline.gif) on your posts, is an "instant" modify button.. no waiting for the page to reload to edit your posts!

A buddy list - which you can start in your profile

A "label" list in your IMs - so you can put your IMs into "groups"  say "friends" or "others" group.

Imladris works .. there is one little glitch still to be ironed out... which when it is, I'll be able to use to convert the others.

PLUS the new Helios theme works too! :D

EG, if you have time could you fix Twilight theme's Last Post picture? And in Twilifght theme it still needs to reload a page to modify a message  ???

Indeed there is a picture of Last Posts  :) but as for the modify button it keeps reloading  :-\ (the button between 'Reply with quote' and 'Remove' right?)

that IS meant to reload!  thats the long way to edit.. because you can see the smilies and use preview

the Inline editing is done by clicking on the image that looks like this (http://www.ageofthering.com/forum/Themes/Rangers/images/icons/modify_inline.gif) which will appear at the end of your post, before "report to moderator!

if you click that, the editing box just opens up :D

Wow you work hard! Well done, I'll let you know if I find any glitches but I'm not the type to go out and find them , I'm to lazy, I usually find them while I'm doing something and get angry at the computer... :8o
