(Okay....I got this idea then I had some trouble getting it from my mind into a plot...This is basically where I want this rp to go...)
Plot: In the land of Marcenia a girl is kidnapped, only this girl was the princess. The man who kidnapped her mistakes her for her handmaid and takes her back to his land (Cerana), this man is the king of these lands and is at war with the king of Marcenia. He kidnappes her as a warning to the people of Marcenia, so they would know better than to mess with him because he could be in and out taking whatever he wanted in the process without being caught. The princess doesn't correct his thoughts of her being the maid so that he wouldn't use her against her father in order to win the war. She runs into a spy that was planted in the kings castle to gather information and recognizes the spy as a friend of hers from when she was little, and they become friends again and she is happy to have someone to talk to when not tending to the king. She attempts to put a stop on some of the king's attack plans and passes information to the spy to send home because she can get inside the secret meetings seeing as she is the king's maid. She gives the king a hard time an doesn't always listen to what she is told to do and the king finds himself falling for her. So he attempts to get her to fall in-love with him in return. She resists but finds herself falling for him in return.

{This starts about a week after she is kidnapped...They have just reached his castle}
*Looks around the room she was given sitting down on the bed and glaring out the window. How am I going to get out of this? she thinks laying back and stareing at the celing a tear escaping her eye and disappearing down her face and into her hair.*

Eleniel sat in his room, many thoughts running through his head. He smiled smugly as he thought about the maid he had kidnapped. It would teach that king who he was messing with. Maybe next time, if the other King continued, Eleniel might even take his daughter... but no, that would only be when it became extreme. Eleniel got to his feet, pacing across the room. He would check on the new maid soon, as she was now his

*Wipeing away the tears she sighs and sits up going over to the dresser she looks inside and seeing no clothes there she starts to wonder if she was going to have to wear the same clothes day after day. She would have to ask her new 'master' about it. She decides to try to find him. She makes her way down the hall ignoring most doors and figuring as the king he would be behind the most elaborate door she found. Once she found a huge set of door with intricate designs drawin on it she knocks hopeing she was right*

"What?" Aurendil demanded angrily, having not wanted to be disturbed. He had told no-one to come for at least an hour! He walked over to the door quickly, pulling it open. Aurendil's face softened as he realised who it was that stood infront of him. "Come in, come in," Aurendil demanded, moving to the side to let Heather past. She was a pretty face it was true, Aurendil thought silently to himself.

*Moves into the room looking around but not feeling awed, Her father's rooms were better. She turns to face him suddenly nervous and she shifts slightly not meeting his eyes*
Sir I was in my new rooms and realized that the only clothes I have are the ones I'm wearing right now...I was curious if it was going to stay that way or if I would be reciving some...

Aurendil smirked as he heard her questions, thoughts running through his head. "Yes, you will get some clothes. You did not think I was that cruel did you?" He replied. "Is that all you wanted to ask?" Aurendil moved to a small table, pouring out some wine into a small glass. He drank it in one gulp, and then shook his head, trying to clear his mind of certain thoughts.

*Watches him for a moment before deciding to walk around and look at things since he hadn't told her to stay where she was. She stopped occasionally to look at something in depth otherwise just walking around keeping the King in her peripheral vision so as not to miss it if he moved and also curious about the man she was raised to fear and worry about. She wanted to see what the big deal was.*
I did not know what to think of you, If I were to listen to the rumors you are a cruel and heartless man, but rumors are missleading since they are begun most times by those who hate you. So I don't know what you are actually like...And that is one of many questions in my head but the only I plan to ask.

Aurendil turned, and studied Heather's face. "You have not actually asked me a question..." He said calmly, placing the cup of wine behind him on the table. "So I cannot give a answer." His eyes followed Heather as she walked, taking silent note of what she stopped and studied. He knew that the other king's palace must be much grander, but that was because Aurendil was not stupid enough to spend great amounts of money on his palace... It would be destroyed one day. He spent his money on his armys

*Turns to him and smiles laughing lightly and realizing he wasn't the dimwitted fool everyone said. He was sharp and payed attention.*
Well then I'll ask...What are you like?

A small smile graced Aurendil's face, almost unable to believe that someone had given him a compliment. He had alot of enemies, it was true, and he had very little trustworthy friends. "I don't think it is quite fair to ask me that," He said softly, "As, believe it or not, I could be ever so slightly biased.... I will let you judge for yourself, as that is the best option. For instance, what would you say, if I asked you what are you like?"

*Smirks and moves closer to him looking at stuff along the way*
I would say that I am slightly rude at times and that I can be bossy, I am strong willed and I hate it when people lie to me...That gives you the basics.

Aurendil shrugged, glad to see that she had enough brains to think for herself. He used to hae some maids who were too afraid to even talk to him, in fear of saying anything wrong. He didn't know why the ours spread that he would hurt people if they upset him, he had never once beaten or ordered someone to beat his staff. "Well, it appears you may have been thinking about that for a while.." Aurendil said

No, just came up with it...Do you have any questions for your new maid then?

Aurendil nodded thoughtfully. "Fair enough." He could not think of any questions to ask her of yet, did not think it was the right time to ask her about the other king's palace. "I believe I am alright... Is there any questions you would like to ask me, other than the ones you already have?" He guessed that by now, the other maids would have placed the new clothes he had ordered in Heather's room

Aurendil thought carefully about that question, not entirely sure what he wanted her to do. He had enough maids as it was, without her. "That, you will find out from the head maid" He said, finally coming up with an answer. "Now if you don't mind, I have some important issues to attend to. I assume you know your own way back to your room, and I also believe that some clean clothes will be in there for you." Aurendil smiled slightly, wondering what she would say to that

*Starts to nod and move towards the door before stopping and turning to him a slight blush on her cheeks*
I actually don't know my way...I was just looking for a big door that seemed most likely and I didn't pay any attention to where I was going....

Aurendil shook his head, a small laugh escaping from his lips. "Fine, I will show you." He walked over to the door, opening it, and allowing Heather to walk through. He followed her, closing the door behind him. Aurendil walked beside Heather, his head held high. "There is the library," He said, motioning to the door to the right of them

Aurendil nodded., slightly surprised that the maid would be able to read... he made sure his maids were able to read and write, but he knew many kings didn't like that. "Though you must be careful of them. Soem are very old, and if any of them are ruined after you taking them out, you will be expected to pay for at least a small amoint of the replacement." Aurendil was very careful with the books in there, as he also loved reading. Many of the books were very old, classics, passed down from generation to generation

*A smile lights up her face at the thought that she could read the books and she nodds understandingly*
I know what you mean and if any are harmed while I have them I would help pay even if it was not rule...Books are valuable no matter age or design...

Aurendil glanced at Heather, pleased to hear that from her. Some people could be so careluss with books. They eventually made it back to Heather's room, Aurendil not able to think of many more interesting things to point out. "Your room," He said simply, waiting for her to go in. "If you need anything else, well, you obviously know where to find my room"

*Nods and say's a quick thank you before entering her room to find that thing's had been added and it looked less like a holding cell and more like an actual room. It seemed more comfortable and there were clothes in the closet. She found a clean dress and put it on happy to have clean clothes*

Aurendil watched silently as Heather went into her room, glad to see that she was slightly happier. Knowing that she was safe in her room, Aurendil turned on his heel, going back to his own room

*Once changed and feeling cleaner she decides to go walk through the house and figure out her way around so she could understand the castle better*

Aurendil left his room, heading down to the mess hall. He always ate with his soldiers, and all of them knew that they were free to talk to him about anything... and most of them did. He wondered if Heather was hungry, and made his way to her bedroom. He saw her just as she was coming out, and quickened his pace so that he would catch up with. "Are you hungry?" Aurendil asked

*Jumps slightly and turns to look at him. She thinks for a second before deciding she was actually hungry and nodding.*
Yes...Where are the kitchens?

"We all eat in the mess hall... I hope you don't mind." Aurendil turned around, starting to walk towards the hall. He wondered why he was apologising to Heather, she was just a maid. Oh well, he mentally said. Always pays to have manners. Aurendil opened the door to the mess hall, and stepped to the side, letting Heather in before him

Aurendil nodded, motioning to a seat that Heather should sit down in. The room had fallen silent when Heather and himself had walked in, but Aurendil continued to move, doing what he did every day. Gradually the chatter started again, though you couldn't be sure that they were talking about the same thing they had been before. Aurendil quickly got two meals, placing a plate infront of Heather, and sitting down opposite her.

*Smiles muttering a quick 'Thank You' and looking around the room noticing some of the odd looks she was receiving, and trying to ignore the questioning faces*
If you are king why do you not dine in the main dining hall?

Aurendil shrugged, staring down at his plate. "Too serious, and high and mighty for me there. The soldiers know that I eat the same food as them too, so they can't really complain." Aurendil looked up, smiling, and winked. He had started out as a soldier when he was younger, and gradually made his way up the ranks. He knew how it had felt, when you were eating rubbish, and the king was in a whole seperate room, probably feasting on glorious food

*Smiles and nods in understanding taking a bite of the food and looking around again noticing the tapestries hanging on the walls*
Those are beautiful...I do hope you keep up with cleaning them though...

Aurendil looked up, looking up to the tapestries as well, a small smile playing on his features. "Oh yes, we do. Don't tell them I told you, but the men secretly love cleaning them," He said softly, a sparkle in his eye. Aurendil chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "Don't ask me why. I think they just like that it means they get to have time aloen with their friends. I do not get someoen to watch them, they just know that I expect it of them." To most of the soldiers, Aurendil was seen as a father figure. They all knew that they couldn't push him too far though

*Smiles and nods noticeing that some of the people looked like they planned on coming over and shifts nervously before stilling herself and looking at him thoughtfully*

Aurendil looked around as Heather looked uncomfortable, nodding at the men who were looking over. "Some people would disagree with what you say... at least about the gentle bit! No, Ican be ruthless as well. All kings have to be, else they would never get anywhere." Aurendil laughed, focusing back on Heather. The soldiers got to their feet, and then sat either side of Aurendil and Heather, nervous smiles on their faces.

*Tenses when they sit down her fork halfway back to the plate and she forces herself to set it down and look somewhat relaxed. She didn't dare talk knowing it was not the maid's place to begin conversaition.*

Aurendil smiled silently to himself as he saw Heather's manners. He glanced around at the others, all staring nervously into his plates. "Have you all suddenly turned mute?" Aurendil asked. "Heather, this is the boys..." He listed them, pointing to each. "And this is Heather." Some of the boys brightened up as Aurendil spoke, giving hurried glances in Heather's direction, smiles on their faces. "It's not often they see such beautiful woman like you," Aurendil whispered to Heather, though the others heard

*Blushes and shakes her head causing some of her hair to fall into her face with the action. She felt slightly nervous with some of the looks she was receiving.*

Aurendil smiled, marvelling at the sudden change in Heather's attitude. She had been so confident around him, and yet now, she was so quiet, almost nervous. He gave sharp looks to some of the men who looked at Heather in the wrong way, not wanting her to feel uncomfortable. Slowly, conversations broke out around the group, everyone relaxing slightly more

*Relaxes a little more as everyone starts talking again looking up in time to see the king sending some of his men a glare, causing her to smile*

Aurendil nodded slightly, not feeling the need to say anymore. He quickly ate his dinner, his head bent low. He had some important matters to attend to and needed to hurry up. Aurendil was quite thin, and looekd tired and worn out... he often had to rush about, either not eating or eating little quickly.

*Watches him eat curious as to why he was in such a hury. She didn't know what to say so she just ate her food in silence studying some of the people around them noticing that they didn't seem to be angry or hateful towards there king*

Aurendil finally finished, picking up his plate, and putting it where people would clean it up. He went back over to the table where he had been sitting, leaning on it with his hands. "Are you alright here?" He asked Heather, "Or do you want to come with me? I can introduce you to who you will be working with." Aurendil said, not really wanting to make her rush her food though

*Looks at her plate of half eaten food and nods knowing she would never eat the rest and would feel uncomfortable until she got used to those around her. She stands taking her plate to where the king had placed his before joining him and motioning for him to lead the way*

Aurendil smiled at Heather as she put her plate away, and then turned back to the men sitting at the table, muttering a few orders to them, just to remind them of their day's work. "Let's go then," He said to Heather, and started to walk, at a reasonable pace. "Don't worry, the other maids are very nice. Most are slightly older than you though, but I'm sure that won't be a problem." Aurendil talked to Heather as they walked

Aurendil shrugged, a small smile on his face, glancing down at Heather. "Don't know, to tell the truth. That's up to the head maid." He said, soon getting to the door where the other maids should be right now. He opened the door, and hush fell around the room. Aurendil looked back at Heather, giving a comforting smile

The maids slowly came up to Aurendil and Heather, each introducing themselves, and smiling widely. Aurendil showed Heather to the head maid, Jane, and looked around the room. "You will be fine here. The others will help you," He said softly to Heather, knowing that she was probably very nervous

"Well, I must dash," Aurendil said, turning to go out of the door. "If you need anything more, you know where my room is. Don't be afraid to knock." He smiled once, glanced around the room, and then left.
Jane smiled quickly at Heather, though was in a rush, trying to get everything sorted. "You any good at setting tables?" She asked, as she passed Heather. "Because the other g!rls need some help in there." Jane nodded towards another door, that led onto the dining room where feasts were held

Aurendil wandered into the feast hall, a smile appearing on his face when he saw all the places set, and the food that lay on the table. Though that wasn't why he had come here... he had really come here to check up on Heather, to see how she had been doing for the day. There seemed to be no-one around though...

*Looks up from her spot on the floor in the corner where she had decided to sit to get away from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and rest for a moment. She saw Aurendil standing there and hurries to stand wincing slightly as she uses her right hand. She had gotten burned on accident when handling one of the food pots. She was tired beyond belief not being used to working as much as she was*
Highness...I'm sorry. I was told I could have a small break...

Aurendil smiled, and shook his head. "No, no, I don't expect you to work all day." He had noticed her wince as Heather had used her right hand, and gently brought it up, so that he could see it. Once he had seen the burn, he sucked in his breath slightly. "That's a nasty burn," Aurendil said, looking up into Heather's eyes. "You should get that checked over. Here come with me."

*Bites her lip nodding and worried about what they would do about the burn. She had few run-ins with things involving major physical injury and it was, she noticed, customary to heal thinks by making them hurt more and if her hand hurt anymore than it then she was going to cry.*

Aurendil swiftly brought Heather through many corridors, finally arriving at the medical bay. He gently knocked on the door, and stepped inside, his eyes sweeping the room, looking for someone. Eventually, a head popped around the door of a adjoining room, with a cheery grin. "What do we have here?" The person asked, stepping further inside, so Aurendil and Heather could see his whole body

*Looks at the man nervously for a moment before quickly looking up at Aurendil and holding out her hand for the other man to see turning to face him once agian*
I burnt my hand on a pot...

The man tutted softly as he saw the burn, and shook his head. He quickly got a cloth, and some bandages and looked up at Heather. "Now this might sting slightly," the man said softly, and cleaned the wound, before swiftly placing the bandage around Heather's hand. "You will have to keep that on for at least a week, and try not to get it wet," the man explained. "Come back to me if it starts to hurt more than it does now"

*Bites her lip hard to avoid whimpering in pain and nods when he tells her to make sure it doesn't get wet or hurt more only too happy to get away. She waited for Aurendil to move towards the door so she would be able to*

Aurendil opened the door, allowing Heather to pass him by. He watched her face as she did, noticing how beautiful she was, a sparkle in his eye. "Does it hurt much?" Aurendil asked, shutting the door behind him, and falling in step beside Heather. He didn't know where she wanted to go now, but all he wanted to do was be with her

Aurendil asked, knowing that they would at least be able to get some privacy in here

*Thinks for a moment before nodding. If she was at home it would be seen as unproper to be entering his rooms un-chaperoned but here to him she was just a maid. So it would not matter*

Aurendil's room was bare, to say the least. It did not look like a kings room at all. All it held was a small desk and chair, some cupboards and a single bed. Aurendil hadn't grown up as a Prince, and had never really liked all the riches and fanciness of becoming the King side of it. Some people thought that he was crazy, that he should've jumped at the chance of money, but Aurendil had never really explained to anyone why he did not. The room hardly looked lived in at all

*Looks around surprised at the bare room and tries to figure out why it seemed so cold. She moved a little way into the room stopping and waiting for further instruction*

Aurendil rubbed the back of his neck as he stepped inside, a slight blush covering his cheeks. "Not too fancy hey?" He said softly, shutting the door. Maybe it had been a mistake to bring Heather here, but he couldn't change his desicion now. "Sit where ever you want," Aurendil said, still standing by the doorway. He would let Heather take the seat if she wanted, he didn't mind.

*There was a pink tint to her cheeks as she made her way over to the desk chair pulling it away and not looking at anything on the desk before sitting down. She was unsure of what to say so she just stayed silent not wanting to sound stupid or like she didn't know the rules. Maids did not speak unless spoken to...She had heard her father say that once.*

Aurendil sat on the edge of his bed, his steady gaze on Heather. "How long had you been working at the other kingdom?" Aurendil asked. He was curious to know how life was in the other kings castles compared to his. Maybe he might even find out some information about attacks the other king might be planning. "What position where you?"

*Sighs quickly deciding to tell as much of the truth as she could with only a few twists here and there. She didn't want to compleatly lie because that would make it harder to keep up with later on when speaking*

Aurendil nodded thoughtfully. He wished to have children but had not yet found the right woman. "Was the princess nice?" Aurendil asked, smiling. If the other king did not start to change, Aurendil was thinking about taking his daughter, the princess. Little did he know that he already had

*Smiles and shruggs thining of her childhood friend and maid and what she would say to this question.*
I think she was...People say we were like twins when together and I think it has much to do with us growing up together...We are very close. She can be bossy and rude sometimes but that is to be expected of a princess when around her parents who expect her to behave when around certain groups of people.

Aurendil smiled. "And did the king treat you well?" He asked, getting to his feet, pacing infront of the bed, his head bowed thoughtfully. He had not meant for this to turn into a '20 Questions' on Heather, but he need information. "For if he didn't..." Aurendil said, looking up at Heather, a sparkle in his eye. "I would not hesitate to..."

*Gasps slightly surprised at the show of protectiveness from him. She hadn't even been there that long and she had done nothing to make herself stand out or be special. She shakes her head quickly*
No! He is a kind king! He would never hurt us. He demands respect or your job changes to something less pleasent like mucking out the horse stalls or something or he fires you when you really screw up but he would never hurt us...

Aurendil nodded, staring straight at Heather. He wondered why she was getting so worked up. Not many servants wanted to stick up for their king in the way that she was doing, when they were infront of another king. Most were too scared to even speak. Aurendil liked that, he thought it was a good quality, what Heather was doing. "Now tell me," He started, "After your small view of this castle, which would you rather be in? Mine or his?"

*Sighs thinking for a moment trying to figure out which it was honestly*
Well the other castle has been my home my whole life, so naturally I would always want to go there...but I've been to other castles with the princess and I can honestly say I would rather be here than any of those places...

Aurendil nodded again. He did not know what more to ask Heather, and sat back down on the bed. "Are the people nice here?" He asked. He hoped that they had been, as he mainly brought up the rule of good nature, and will in his city. Aurendil hoped that Heather hadn't been loaded with all the work, that she had been gently eased into the work. Aurendil wondered how she had got that burn. It almsot seemed like she was not used to working with a cooker

*Heather nodded thinking of the other people she had been working with today. She smiled slightly remembering the man who had warned her not to brush up against the hot pot*
Yes, they have all been very nice showing me what is expected but not giving me too much...One of them even warned me of the hot pot of stew before I turned and accidentally grabbed it, without a towel, when asked to.

Aurendil laughed slightly, and then quickly became serious once more. "Sorry... I really shouldn't have laughed just then." He, once again, got to his feet, this time going over to the window. He rested his arms on the windowsill, staring out over his kingdom. "Sometimes I wonder what the other kings would think of my kingdom if they came and stood by this window, like I am," Aurendil said absentmindedly

*Smiles realizing the humor in the situation and watching as he looks out the window before standing and going over looking out also*
They would think that you have what looks to be a prosperous kingdome and would envy you the view of the mountains...

Aurendil glanced at Jill out of the corner of his eye, a smile playing on his face. "I wish I could see what the other kingdoms look like, when you just stand by a window, and watch." He stood there for a little bit longer, not wanting the moment to pass, and then glanced up at the clock that was on the wall. Seeing the time, he turned his back on the window, walking over to his desk, to look for some papers he would need. "I must be going," Aurendil said softly

Aurendil finally found the papers that he was looking for, and glanced up towards Heather. "I don't know... can you read and write?" He asked. Aurendil glanced down at Heather's hand, biting his lip as he realised. She couldn't really do much, really with her hand. "Well, I suppose you could just come with me. It might be abit boring, but you would be able to see how we work with things around here.." Aurendil suggested

"Of course, it's ok. I invited you," Aurendil said, chuckling. "Now we must hurry, they will be expecting me. I to keep people waiting." Aurendil opened the door for Heather, and then shut it behind him, not even bothering to lock it. There was nothing important in the room, he didn't really care if people went in... though he trusted that people wouldn't

Heather smiles and follows him looking at the few tapestries hanging here and there. "Why have you decorated so sparcely?" She asked knowing he wouldn't be upset over her interest.

"Not many people come down this way.." Aurendil said, glancing around at the walls. "It is really only me. I needed to find somewhere where I could catch what little sleep I can get. Not much point in decorating it for one person's eyes, and making the men do even more work than they should have to." Aurendil smiled, half to himself, half to Heather. He quite liked having few decorations, liked seeing the stonewalls of the castle

Smiles looking around and realizing it had a nice look to it. Anymore her father felt the need to clutter every space with things. Her own room had been quite plain and she liked it that way. "I like that you don't clutter every space..."

Aurendil chuckled. "Not many people do." He said, "I know that some of the servants talk about how bare it is down here compared to the rest of the palace." Aurendil was walking fast, but not so fast that Heather had to run to keep up. "Why, what made you ask? Do you not have places where you can just sit and think, without the clutter of paintings and tapestrys in your kingdom?" Aurendil asked

Smiles and shakes her head looking around once again. "No, there seem's to be stuff everywhere." She said quietly laughing a little.

(Sorry to double post but I have an idea for a way to spice this up a little...
Maybe the king can send a messenger to Aurendil asking if he had kidnapped his daughter and demanding her return. So then Aurendil would know who she was and then maybe that could start a war or he could try to send her home and she could not want to leave cause she has grown to like his kingdom and him or something like that...What you think?)

Aurendil laughed, as they quickly made their way down the corridor. "Well, at least you got the chance to see that there is somethings that are different in each kingdom!" They soon made their way to a room, and Aurendil stopped outside it, facing Heather. "All I ask is just not to start an argument with anyone!" He said, with a twinkle in his eye

Aurendil nodded, and then opened the door. He was greeted with faces that were filled with worry. "What's wrong?" He asked, stepping further into the room. The crowd seemed to part, and a messenger stepped forward to face Aurendil. "Sir, I have a message," the messenger read, the nerves in his voice showing. "The king of Marcenia requests to know if you are the one who has kidnapped his daughter... and demands her back." Suddenly, the messenger's gaze met with Heather's, and he gasped. "You have her..." He mumbled. Aurendil turned to face Heather, confusion showing on his face. "What does this mean?" He asked

Heather looked at the messenger shocked before looking at Aurendil biting her lip. "I am the princess..." She said quietly hanging her head and not meeting anyone's eye. She felt bad for having lied to the man and she was worried what they would do now that they knew who she was.

Aurendil's face paled, as he sat down in a nearby chair. "Oh my, what have I done?" He muttered to himself, hanging his head. "Why didn't you tell me?!" Aurendil demanded, suddenly looking up at Heather. "I thought you were just a maid! You should've said something!" Aurendil wasn't really angry at Heather, he was just confused, and hurt. He didn't have a clue about what to do... and he had thought he had trusted Heather...

Heather bites her lip wincing slightly at his tone. She takes a step back not wanting to be standing there with these people staring at her and Aurendil angry with her. "I am sorry...I just thought it would be safer if I didn't tell you who I was, for both of us. I never expected father to do this..." She said glancing quickly up at the messenger. She shakes her head and looks at Aurendil.

Aurendil sighed, dropping his gaze back down to the floor. "I guess... I guess you will have to go back to him then. I didn't mean for all this to happen!" Aurendil looked up at the messenger, and then back to Heather. "Take her... and... yes, just take her." Aurendil slowly got to his feet, staring at Heather for one last moment, and then turning his back on her, leaning heavily on the table

Heather looked at Aurendil's back for a moment shocked before moving away from the messenger and going to him. "Can I speak with you for a moment without an audience?" She asked hopeing he wouldn't argue.

Aurendil glanced over his shoulder as Heather spoke, and then nodded. "I suppose so.. you're going to be leaving anyway, so you can't say anything more that will surprise me." Aurendil gently took Heather by the elbow, and guided her outside of the room, closing the door behind him. "What is it?" Aurendil asked straight away, wanting to get this over and done with

Heather bites her lip looking him in the eye for a second and sighing. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry once again and ask you if you would consider letting me stay here..." She said quietly not meeting his eyes worried abuot his reaction.

Aurendil frowned. Had he heard her right? Did she just say that she wanted to stay? But surely that can't be true.. Wouldn't Heather want to get back to her family, to her rightful kingdom? "What.. what?" Aurendil stammered, running a hand through his hand. "Why would you want to stay here? There is nothing here for you..."

Heather shakes her head looking around and smiling slightly. "This place is wonderful in it's simplicity, and the people are definatly nicer." She said quietly before biteing her lip once again and looking up at him shyly. "And I've made new friends that I'm not willing to lose..."

"You know what this will cause... right?" Aurendil asked. He thought that Heather was beautiful, and hadn't realised that she had been talking about him being a 'friend'. He thought that she meant someone else, and didn't know if he wanted to go to all the trouble of keeping her in his kingdom, when he knew that he would never be able to have her. "Your father will be angry... he may even start a war! He will never believe that you have chosen to stay out of your own free will!"

Heather lowered her eyes feeling foolish for asking, she should have realized he wouldn't want here there for it would only start a war. "I am sorry for any bother I have been," she said before looking up at him meeting his eyes and proud that she was successfully fighting the urge to cry. "I would just like you to know that no matter how my father feel's about you and your people, I have felt more relaxed and at home here than even my own home, and consider you to be my friend..." She said quietly quickly moving forward and placing a kiss on his cheek before going back into the room looking for the messenger and wipeing quickly at the tear's that had begun to slowly escape.

Aurendil looked stunned, not realising what had just happened. Slowly, he put things together, are realised that Heather might actually have the same feelings for him as he did for her. Aurendil suddenly realised what he had to do, and ran back into the room, grabbing Heather's arm, though not so that it would be painful for her. "She's staying here," Aurendil said determinedly, staring straight at the messenger. A low mutter of talking sprang up around the people who were watching, with a few short gasps of shock

Heather turned around staring at him ignoring the tear that escaped the corner of her eye. "Highness?" She asked softly confused slightly, but hopeful. Could he feel the same as her and want her to stay or had she just made him feel guilty?

Aurendil looked at Heather, a small smile appearing on his face, just for her. He nodded slightly, a nod that noone else would understand if they even saw it. His gaze turned back to the messenger. "Did you not understand me?" Aurendil asked, the smile dissappearing off of his face. "I said she is staying.... Now if you will, please leave my kingdom... and don't come back!"

Heather wiped the tear away smiling softly before turning to look at the messenger her expression becoming that of a princesses. "Tell my father I do not wish to be home, you are dismissed." she said waving a hand in dismissal.

The messenger looked stunned for a moment, and slowly nodded his head, turning on his heel to walk away. The crowd of people parted as he walked away, and he kept his head low, so as to not catch anyone's eye acidentally. He dreaded going back to the other kingdom, and what the other king would do to him when he told him his daughter wasn't coming back home
Aurendil watched the messenger's back as he walked away, and motioned to two guards to follow him until they were sure he had left the kingdom. Slowly, he turned around to face Heather, a neutral expression on his face. "Are you sure this is what you want?" Aurendil asked softly, "Because you can still change your mind... but not for much longer"

Heather smiled and nodded not even having to think over her answer. "I'm staying." she said firmly. She wasn't going back to where she was an object when she could stay here and be seen as a person.

Aurendil smiled reassuringly, and then took Heather's hand, ignoring the stares that came from practically everyone in the crowd. He knew that they had to get out, and let people settle down. "We will go back to my room," Aurendil whispered softly in her ear, gently pulling/guiding her back out of the room, and down the corridor they had come through before

Heather smiled and let him lead her, her mind was rushing through her thoughts as she followed him. She had just turned her back on her father and her people. Her sister would be able to take the throne in her absence, but she would be an outcast forever now. "Will this not seem unappropriate?" she asked him with a smile realizing they were going to his room.

Aurendil chuckled slightly. "What, to go to my room? Does it not seem slightly unappropiate that you have refused to go back to your own kingdom, instead choosing to stay here?!" Aurendil asked, though not nastily. Quickly, they arrived at Aurendil's room, and he opened the door, allowing Heather to go in before him, and then quickly closing the door behind him, hoping noone was following. He leant back against the door, gazing up at the ceiling

Heather went in and stood there for a moment considering what she had done. She smiled realizing she didn't regret it in the least. She was happy to be staying here, "I suppose it would seem a bit shocking and unappropriate..." she said nodding slightly and smiling at him. "What's wrong?"

Aurendil shook his head, returning his gaze back to Heather. "Oh, nothing. I'm just quite shocked myself... I just didn't think..." Aurendil didn't finish his sentence, knowing that Heather would understand what he was trying to say. "You know, even though the people are kind here, they will not think very much of you, because you have stayed. They all value their own family more than anything else..."

Heather smiled at him, "If you are saying they will not bother treating me as a princess or guest, then that is all the better. I do not want to be treated differently. I just want the chance to live here and be happy here." she said and blushed slightly meeting his eyes before looking away towards the window. "Already I am happier here than my own home."

"Some will not like it that you have stayed here... but most will be alright.. but yes, like you understand, they will not treat you differently." Aurendil repeated. Aurendil straightened to his full height, moving away from the door frame. He moved to stand infront of Heather. Aurendil was at least a head taller than Heather, and he slowly brought a hand up to rest on her shoulder... He wasn't entirely sure what he was supposed to know now

Heather looked up at him smiling slightly unsure what he was doing. "Well I will try to stay out of everyone's way...I'll even remain as a maid if that is your wish." she said reaching up and placing her hand over his. She didn't know why she had done that and couldn't help the blush on her cheeks.

Aurendil shook his head, a small smile gracing his lips. "Just give them time to settle down, and I'm sure you'll fit in fine." There was an awkward silence, as Aurendil studied Heather's face carefully. Aurendil decided to take his chances and leant forward, gently kissing Heather.

Heather smiled into the kiss leaning towards him a little. She had hoped he liked her that way since she had grown attracted to him. The kiss was in her mind perfect.

Aurendil enjoyed the moment for a while longer, but then pulled away. "We have to get to work.. we will find we are going to be very busy, very soon." Aurendil knew that he was rushing Heather, but that was the way it had to be. "We'd better go and sort everyone out." Aurendil quickly moved back to the door, and opened it, so that Heather could walk before him

Heather bit her lip and smiled at him moved to the door nodding, "What do we need to sort out?" she asked curious. She stopped outside the door waiting for him and ran a hand through her hair.

"As to what everyone is doing," Aurendil replied in answer to Heather's question. He closed the door behind them, knowing that he needed to hurry up. "They are all waiting in the Main Hall for me, or at least they should be. I think this should be the time when we properly explain to everyone what is happening, with... you know... me and you." Aurendil glanced over his shoulder at Heather, smiling

Heather followed him biteing her lip slightly in thought and nodding. "Alright, Shall we tell them we are friends?" she asked a thought forming in her mind. "I think dropping a, well relationship other than friendship into there laps may cause a blow up....or at least it would in my kingdom. I don't know about yours." she said softly

Aurendil shook his head. "No, I don't think that that will work. They know you would have only stayed here if you felt love for me, they're not stupid. There probably will be a blow up between certain members of the kingdom, but I think the majourity will understand... We have to tell the truth. I have never lied to them and never will..." Aurendil studied Heather's face as they talked, even though they were walking.
Hey Everyone,
I just thought that you need to know that I am going on holiday from tomorrow, Tuesday (18th) to next Saturday (22nd). It’s not too long, but if anyone does need to move my character/s so the r/p can move on, please feel free to do so. I don’t know if I will be able to post on the Saturday night, but probably will on the Sunday.
