Storyline
In the 1950's, to be seen 'hanging out' with older people than yourself, and especially of the different gender, was seen to be as bad as stealing, or even murder. So what happens when one poor 15 year old girl falls in love with a rich 26 year old man? How will her family and friends react, and what will society do to the two lovers, and who will they blame?
Celebmornie and myself made this one up... This is what happens when two people, who love roleplaying, are very bored and chatting on MSN! :P :laugh: Sorry for the short storyline, but you get the picture.

Other: Jack is tall, and quite thin. He has a smile that if shown to you, you cannot help smiling back. He is very friendly as he did not start out as rich. In fact his family was quite poor. He was intelligent though, and managed to get a job at a factory. After many promotions, Jack was the head of the factory, a job he had only dreamed about. It had taken him a long time. He has fallen in love with a younger girl though, and dreads the day someone finds out.. He would be shunned from society, and his riches taken away.

Jack sat on a secluded bench, in the park near Jill's house. He was waiting patiently for her, rubbing his hands together, as it was a cold morning. Many thoughts were running through his head, his eyes flicking around nervously, searching to see if anyone he knew was around here. He was anxious just to see Jill, and go, go somewhere where they could get more privacy. Jack didn't understand why it was so bad for him to date someone so much younger, he couldn't help who he fell in love with! Jack knew that it was him who had the most at stake here, but he did not care anymore.. he did truly love Jill

*Jill left the house, telling her parents she was going to be at the library studying the going to a friends house and that she would call if she was going to be home late. She wrapped her coat around her a little tighter and made her way to the park. She saw Jack sitting on a bench and after looking around to make sure no one would see them she sneaks up behind him placing her hands over his eyes*

Jack grinned, and placed his hands on top of Jills, gently pulling them down, and turning around. Without saying a word, he leant in, and kissed her. Jack stared into her eyes, forgetting all about the worrys and troubles he had been thinking about, the whole of his attention on Jill. Jack stood to his full height, which was about a head taller than Jill, taking her hand in his. "Come, I have something to show you," He said softly, grinning.

*Smiles and nods holding his hand a little tighter her heart beating wildly from the kiss and knowing that she was here with her love. She only wished she could be like this always no matter what the situation.*

Jack laughed, and gently guided her down some back alleys. Suddenly he stopped and turned to face Jill, pulling out two roses, one red and one white, holding them out for her. "These are for you," He said softly, "These will remind you of me, when I cannot be there. And this..." Letting go of Jill's hand, Jack pulled out another gift from his jacket. This time it was a small velvet box.

Job : Talent Scout - He finds girls who can dance or sing for top clubs and bars.
Description : Billy is dashingly handsome, and gets his girls easily, promising riches and love. He flirts with them, makes them fall for him, then gives them to these clubs, telling them he's gotta go find more talent...and they never see him again. And if they do..he acts like he doesn't know them.
He is freinds with Jack and Joe (if thats ok?)
Billy sat at the back of a club, a drink in his hand, watching the singers and dancers, a crooked smile playing on his lips. He wore a dark suit and a hat. He pushed his hat back a bit, and took a sip of his drink.

Joe sat in the livingroom of his and Susie's home. He rarley viseted Billy's clubs. Knowing his wife would dissapprove. He and Susie had just had their supper and he was content sitting on the sofa with the tv on hugging up with his wife.

Jack took a deep breath, and got down on one knee, opening the box. Inside was a beautiful ring, that had obviously cost quite alot. "Jill, I love you and always will. Nothing will get in the way of that.. Jill, will you marry me?" Thought's raced through Jack's head.. what if she said no?! What would he do then?! She would tell everyone and his life would be ruined for ever. But no... surely she would say yes

*Stares at the ring for a moment before her eyes shift to stare at the man she loved. The man that was asking her the one question every girl dreams of hearing. She smiles tears filling her eyes and a happy giggle excaping her*

Jack gently slipped the ring onto Jill's finger, a broad smile on his face. He stood up, and kissed her again, unable to believe that she had actually said yes. "I love you so much," Jack whispered into Jill's ear, though he knew he could not be here for long, as he had plans to meet with Billy in one of his clubs. Suddenly, Jack realised with a startling throw back to reality, what would happen if Jill went back to her house with the ring on? Soon they would have to tell people their secret

*Smiles and realizes she loved the feeling of the rings weight on her finger and being there with Jack. She looks up at him her smile disappearing at the look of worry and fear on his face*

Jack shook his head, forcing a smile onto his face. "No... what could be wrong at a time like this? We are going to get married, Jill!" With a laugh, he gazed up at the sky. "We will have the best wedding in the world. You will have whatever you like, no matter how expensive." Jack's gaze went back down to Jill, "Oh Jill," He said, "It will be perfect"

*Looks at him studying his face and recognizing the stress and worry lines on his face having seen them many times before. He was worried about what people would think when they found out about them. She takes a step towards him wrapping him in another hug burrying her face in his chest and sighing*
We can wait...I don't want to get you in trouble for being with me. You don't have to do this now for me...I'm just happy that I get to have any time with you!
*Looks up at him and smiles putting what he calls her 'brave face' on*
The wedding will be perfect cause it will be you and me getting married! What more could I ask for?

Jack held her close, her hair touching his cheek. Absentmindedly, he thought that she smelled wonderful. With a short nod of his head, Jack smiled, and pulled away from Jill, taking her head. "Now come," He said softly, wishing that he didn't have to rush, and ruin this beautiful moment. "We must go... Susanna and Joseph are expecting us. They will be happy for us at least"

Billy clapped half-heartedly as the singer came off stage, and stood up. He moved to the side of the stage, his coat over his arm, waiting for her to come out of the dressing room. Sadly, he did not think she would ever make it...

Susie snuggled up close to her husband. She loved this. Just sitting close, watching tv together. It hadn't always been like this. Before their marriage, she had been so self-concious about what he would think of her. She hadn't been able to relax, but now, there was no one who she was more comfortable with.

Joe kissed his wife's cheek. He glanced at the clock on the shelf above the fireplace
"Jack's late" He whispered to her. He lent his head on her shoulder tierdly.
"Think we have time for a bit of you know...How's your father?" He asked with a sly grin

Jack smiled once more at Jill, and then started to walk forward, still holding her hand. He looked around, taking in the sights with a new eye. It wasn't far to Joe's house, and Jack knew that they would be interested about the marriage. He didn't know what would happen when Jill would try to break it to her parents

*Jill walked alongside Jack smiling and thinking about how happy they would be. Her smile dimmed however when she realized that she would have to explain to her parents eventually what had occurred. They weren't going to take this well, her father would just shake his head and give her the silent treatment but her mother wouldn't hesitate to call the police and try to have Jack arrested. She didn't want that to happen and as she rean through plans in her mind she was beginning to realize that this was going to be harder than she thought, but she also realized she wouldn't give it up for the world, She loved Jack and that's all that should matter. Unconciously she shifted closer to him resting her head against his shoulder slightly.*

Jack looked down at Jill for a moment, and then back around at the land around them. He guessed that she was thinking of the same thing as he was, about her parents. It would be difficult, but like his mum and dad had always told him, love would always pull through. He knew, could feel, that the love between him and Jill was something special... Sure Jack had had plenty of other s that he had thought he had loved, but he had never felt anything like this before

*Jill looked up as they reached a busy section of town with lots of people and looks over at Jack questioningly slowly moving away a little bit incase he decided they shouldn't let people realize their relationship*

*She asked quietly not looking up at him so he wouldn't see the sadness in her eyes knowing he would most likely say yes*

Jack sighed, surveying the crowds. Why should they let go of hands? People would find out soon enough anyway. He looked down at Jill, and shook his head. "No," Jack said softly, and then continued to walk forward. He could already feel the peoples stares, but Jack held his head high, striding forward. He did not care what other people thought, it was none of their buisness

Someone suddenly approached Maggie. "Excuse me, Miss." He asked, glancing nervously up at Jack. "But are you alright? See, just checking incase that man..."

The man backed away slowly. "Sorry Missus... just checking, you know... You never know what types you get around here." The man gave one more glare to Jack, and then turned his back and ran
Jack blushed slightly as he heard what the man said, but didn't look at him once. He could feel Maggie's grip tighten, but his hands were shaking. If that man knew anyone Jack did, he could be in trouble... Jack seemed to shrink inside his coat, his head hanging low.

Susie rolled her eyes at her husband, but kissed him anyway. "Jack is always late, but I don't think we have enough time" She laughed and wrapped her arms around him. "Is that all you think about anyway? Ohh, maybe we should have got another bottle of wine." She mused, looking down at the table.

Joe grinned innocently "I think of many things my love, Mostly about you" smiled at his wife and kissed her brow. "Aye I beleive I did drink it awfully fast" He said looking down at the almost empty bottle of wine. "Ah no matter, Jack is not a heavy drinker anyway." He said. Joe moved slightly and lay his head in his wife's lap

*Turns to face Jack her face tinged pink from embarrasment at her temper escaping her the way it did. She watched as he visually shrunk into himself and his hands were shakeing. Her gaze lowering to her feet and shifted nervously not wanting to make him mad or cause him to worry anymore she spoke quietly to him her eyes never leaving her feet.*
I'm sorry...Maybe you should go ahead and I'll come after...or I could just go home...Whatever you want.

"No come on, it is not far now," Jack said, striding forward quickly, just wanting to get away from all the stares. Why must life be so difficult? Jill must think thast he was a right coward, after that not-so-amazing performance. Finally, they got to the door of Joe's and Susanna's house, and Jack knocked on the door, standing up straight once more. He did not look at Jill, but let go of her hand, bringing it back to his side.

*Shoves her hand back in her pocket standing slightly behind him still looking to the ground trying to look unconcerned that he seemed to be growing distant with her. She waits for someone to answer the door unwilling to look up so that she would have the moment to gather her emotions and mask them*

Susie stroked her husbands head and leant down to kiss him. She looked up as the doorbell went. "You go Answer it." she said "I'll go dig out another bottle of wine" She smiled and kissed her husbad once more before standing and making her way to the kitchen.

Joe frowned but nodded. He rose from his comfortable position and went to the door, He opened it slightly "We dont want to buy anything" He said with a sly grin

*Looks up and see's the smile on his face but is unable to find it in her to return it. She just sighs and looks down again waiting for Jack to say something*

Jack smiled slightly, not really in the mood for a joke. "Just let us is, Joe," He said, stepping forward, closer to the door. "It's cold out here!" He didn't look back at Jill... Tonight was not going the way he had planned, everything was going wrong. At least now, Jack knew that he could get warm and get some wine in him

Joe raised an eyebrow and raised his hands "Whatever you say" he said as he followed them into the living room "Sit down.." He said "I will just check where Susie has gotten to" He rushed into the kitchen closing the door behind him "Susie...er...I dont think our old friend Jack is in the best of moods this evening"

Jack sat down in a chair, sighing. He let his head drop down into his hands, wondering what Jill was thinking. Probably that he was a jerk and that she didn't know why she had even come here. "I'm sorry about before," Jack said softly, hoping that Jill would hear. "It's just... everything that's happened..." He didn't want to tell Jill yet that he might be losing his job! How stupid was that?! The boss getting fired...

*Sighs and sits down on the couch across from his chair taking the coat off the house being comfortably warm*
It's not going to be easy...We both know that...Things will happen, things that make us feel bad or upset or even make us question our decision. We just have to talk and not close ourselves off. Joe glanced through the hatch between the living room and the Kitchen. He watched the two and raised an eyebrow "Trully coming into our home in a foul mood. I will not stand for it Susie..I will not.." He shook his head and took hold of the wine bottle from is wife. Opening it. Causing the Cork to go flying towards her precious antique china. It knocked the handle from one of the cups. He looked at his wife and stepped back slightly.

Jack smiled mentally. A g!rl who was 11 years younger than him, knew more about love. He knew that he should take her advice but it was so hard. Suddenly, Jack heard the crash in the kitchen. He brought his head up, glancing at Jill, and then back to the kitchen where Joe and Susanna where. Jack got to his feet. Should he go in? Or would that be disturbing the other couple? Jack decided that he would wait until someone called... if they called

*Jill turns to look in the direction of the kitchen also wondering if she should go help but deciding against it and looking at Jack. He hadn't said anything still and she was starting to get nervous. She was unconciously playing with the ring on her finger while lost in thought and she didn't even realize when she stood up and started pacing slowly across the room*

Susie gasped. "Joseph!" She yelled "Thats my best china!" She bent down to pick up the broken handle and the cup. "My mother gave that to us as a wedding present! How could you?" She snapped at him and tried to fit it together - there was no hope for it. "You've gone and broken it and now it can't be fixed. I can't believe you could be so thoughtless!"

Joe bit his lip "Susie I didnt mean to break it!" He protested. He glanced through the hatch and rolled his eyes "I wil find one exactly like it I promise" He said offering her his hand "Im sorry"

Jack glanced at Jill, suddenly realising what she meant. He hadn't been speaking much. Jack cleared his throat awkwardly, "No," He said quietly, "Just couldn't think of much to say, while we were in company." Jack knew that that may have sounded rude, but he was just trying to get her to see that he didn't want to talk about it infront of Joe and Susanna. "Maybe we should go," Jack said softly to Jill, hearing the arguing in the kitchen

Joe popped his head through the hatch and frowned "Your not going anywhere Jack, Not after I sacrificed a whole evening to invite you here my son" He shook his head "Now sit still and be patient. We are having troubles with the...er...er...with the...Oh it doesnt mine" He dissapeared for a moment before appearing in the door way carrying four glasses and a bottle of wine. He looked over his shoulder to see if Susie was coming

*Looks over at Joe and sighs not wanting to spend a long stressful night with them if Jack was going to be all reserved and cold. Joe and Susanna knew about them, just not the marrige and so she didn't see why he was still being distant. She sat in one of the chairs that only had room for one not wanting to be near anyone right now. She should be happy and smiling, but instead she was nervous and sad, It wasn't fair*

Susie came back in the room, carrying a tray of indian snacks. "Sorry about that" she said setting the tray down on the table. "Here we are. Dinner should be ready soon" she said with a smile. "Now whos for a glass of wine?"

Joe smiled at his wife "I wouldnt mind a glass" He said. Hoping she would not bite his head off for asking.

*Smiles politely and shakes her head declining the offer. Her fingers playing with the edge of her shirt as she tried not to look uncomfortable surrounded by people that were supposed to be friends*

Jack smiled fakely as Joe and Susanna came in. "Yes please," He said in reply to Susanna's question. You could almost feel the tension in the air, between the two couples. Jack kept glancing at Jill, hoping that someone would strike up a conversation soon. jack sat up straight, not relaxed at all, in his chair. Though, like they always said, the night could only get better after that awful start

Susanna poured three glasses and fetched Jill a soft drink. It was an awkward evening. Susie tried to encourage talking, but it was all small talk. Once dinner was served it seemed a little easier with the food to distract them from the conversation.

The evening passed quickly and with little or no discussion. As the clock reached midnight Joe yawned and streched before rising to his feet. He smiled at the others before taking the empty bottle of wine and putting it in the bin before taking the glasses and taking them into the kitchen to wash

*Looks at the clock and gasps seeing the time, she quickly stands turning to Jack with a panicked look on her face. Her parents had expected her to be home earlier and they were going to kill her for being out so late without calling.*

Jack had not enjoyed the evening much, and got to his feet wearily. "It was very nice of you to have us," He said to Joe and Susanna, placing his glass back on the tray. He held his coat and hat in one hand, and shook Joe's hand with the other. "Are you ready then?" Jack asked Jill, turning to face her

Jack nodded, and then walked quickly after Jill. He caught up, falling in step beside her. He didn't say anything, just walked. He didn't think he had done anything that wrong. He had tried to have a good evening but it hadn't worked. "I'm sorry," Jack said, hoping it would get Jill talking to him again... even though he didn't know what he was sorry for

I am going to be killed by my parents for coming home so late and I have to figure out what to say to them so I have an excuse for where I was! I can't tell them I was with you because it seem's as more and people find out you pull away more....And that hurts!

Jack understood. He brought his hand up to Jill's cheek, gently brushing the tears away with his thumb. "I'm sorry..." He whispered, this time honestly. "I will walk you home, and I will explain to your parents. We could say, I don't know, you were lost or something. I will think of something" Jack slowly leant forward, kissing Jill. "I will try to talk to you more, I did not mean to upset you," He said softly, staring into her eyes. "It's just, there's been alot going on recently"

Jack sighed, his gaze dropping down to the ground. His hand dropped from Jill's cheek. "I may.. may be losing my job. People, they are finding out, and apparently 'it is not right for a manager'. Not a good reputation, or something like that." Jack fiddled nervously with the hem of his shirt, not daring to look up at Jill's face. What would she think? Would she leave him because he may not have any money any more.

There will be other job's...We can deal with it if it ever happens, I mean, you didn't say you were losing your job for-sure. If anything I can get an after school job too, it will all work out, you'll see.
*Bites her lip somewhat nervously*
I think we should tell my parents...They are going to wonder and be suspitious anyway and now that we are engaged I think it's time to tell them...

Jack finally looked up at Jill, a worried look on his face. He no longer knew what to do, and was nervous about what life would throw at him. "Tonight?" Jack asked softly, about telling Jill's parents. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" Jack had only ever met Jill's parents once, and that was not with Jill. It was by acident, and it had taken Jack a while to figure out who they were

Jack nodded understandingly, trying to get the worst scenario running through his head, so that he wouldn't be too shocked. Maybe, just maybe, Jill's parents would understand, and accept that they were going to get married and that they were in love... but Jack doubted it. "I suppose we should be making our way back then, so we won't be in even more trouble."

Jack smiled slightly, and started to move forward. It was not far to Jill's house, and Jack was glad that he hadn't drunk too much at Joe's. It wouldn't do to make his first impression drunk. He figured that he would wait outside the house until Jill called him in, not wanting to make to much of a surprise

Philip looked up at his wife, as he heard his daughter, Jill come in, a frown on his face. Why was she so late? It was not like her, she had always been so good. His wife and himself had stayed up all night, waiting for her to come in. Philip got to his feet, and made his way out into the hallway, stopping suddenly as he spotted Jack beside her. His gaze dropped down and saw that they were holding hands, and Philip's frown deepened. "What is going on here?!" He demanded angrily

*Marge follows her husband to where their daughter was standing and stares in shock at Jack who was standing there nervously and was holding her daughter's hand. She faintly hear's her husband's angry question but ignores it making her way over and grabbing her daughter in a hug both happy to have her home and to get her away from the strange man*

*Holds tight to Jacks hand not letting go as she is pulled into a rough hug by her mother and her father looked angry*

Jack was pulled along slightly, as Jill's mother almost tried to pull her away by force. He stumbled over his own feet, his face turning slightly red. "Er..." Jack said, clearing his throat, "I'm Jack Miller." He held his hand out to the father, for him to shake.
"You may be, but you are also getting out of my house!" Philip said angrily, gripping Jack's hand, crushing his fingers together. "You have led my daughter on for a while it appears!" Philip pushed Jack backwards, forcing him to let go of Jill's hand. The door was still open from when Jill and Jack had come in

"I..I" Jack did not know what to say, nearly tripping over as Jill's dad kept pushing him back. Jack grabbed Jill as she ran over to him, but stepped infront of her, almost using his body as a shield... against her father. "WE are engaged!" Jack declared angrily, "And there is nothing you can do to stop us staying together!"
Philip stopped as soon as Jill ran out, a angry frown on his face, though his face softened when he heard what she said. "Then do not expect us to feed, clothe and keep a roof over your head anymore" He said, "And do not expect us to call you our daughter anymore!"

*Stares at her father her anger and shock showing. She turns to look at her mother when she hear's her speak but just shakes her head holding her chin high refusing to let the tears fill her eyes.*

Philip stood there, blocking the light that came streaming out from the lit hallway, his arms folded across his chest, a deep frown on his face. He was just as stubborn as his daughter and would not back down... like he knew she wouldn't. He would wait here, till Jill and Jack had left, to make sure they wouldn't slip back in
Jack held onto Jill's hand, comfortingly. He knew how hard this was for her, but he knew that she knew that she would stay at his, and that he would buy her anything she wanted. "Let's go," He said softly to Jill, turning his back on her parents

*Rushes forward grasping her daughters arms knowing that both her husband and daughter were both bull-headed and neither would give up this fight without some intervention*

Jack walked forward, Jill beside him. There was silence between them, nothing needed to be said. Jack couldn't believe what had just happened. Parents throwing their own child out of the house! Quickly they got to Jack's house, and Jack fumbled in his pocket for his key. As soon as he got it out, he dropped it, cursing under his breath. All he wanted to do was get into the warm.

*Smiles patiently and bends down picking up the key's and handing them back to him seeing his frustration. She was sad that her parents had reacted that way but was currently numb and unable to feel the pain because she had blocked it out on the walk to Jack's place*

Jack smiled fakely, fitting the key into the lock, and opening the door to let Jill past him. Once they had both entered inside, he closed the door behind him, rubbing his hands together, trying to get warmer. He knew that Jill knew her way around his house, having been there often, and slipped past her, to go into the kitchen

*Jill takes her coat off and hangs it up and takes her shoes off making her way into his living room and curling up in 'her spot' on the couch grabbing the blanket off the back and wrapping it around her tight letting her eyes fall closed as she thinks about what just happened*

Jack waited patiently as the kettle boiled, and quickly made two cups of tea. He brought them into the living room, where he knew Jill would be, and held one out for her. "Jill," Jack whispered, not really wanting to disturb her. "I brought this for you." He set it down on a table near her, his cup next to it, taking off his coat, and sitting down opposite her

*Jill hears him come in and set the cup down but doesn't move it finally clicked that her parents weren't going to be there for her...They weren't going to be supportive. They weren't even going to listen to her. She was all alone except for Jack and she wasn't sure he really loved her the way she loved him. He seemed to get distant whenever things got hard on them. She is unable to stop the tears that fall down her face and the small sob that escapes her.*

"Aw Jill," Jack murmured, unsure of what to do. He knelt down infront of her, wrapping his arms around her, holding her close. "Don't worry. It will be alright, you'll see." He understood what she was going through, the realisation that the people she loved the most in the world no longer wanted her. Jack, there and then, made a vow in his head that he wouldn't back down from anything if it was to help Jill... he would stand up for her wherever and whenever

*Wraps her arms around him crying into his shoulder and knowing she had him and he was all she needed to be happy*

"I won't," Jack whispered into Jill's ear, letting her cry as much as she wanted. He slowly moved his position, so that he ended up sitting next to her on the couch, so that Jill was more comfortable. Jack gently pushed her away, gently brushing away the tears that were on her cheeks, staring into her eyes. "I love you too Jill," He said softly, meaning it with all his heart

*Sniffles and smiles at him the tears still in her eyes but not falling she quickly wipes them away before taking a shakey breath and shifting her gaze to her hands in a somewhat nervous gesture as she tries to think of what to say*
Jack...I'm well...I'm sorry. I didn't expect it to go like that...They were compleatly not as accepting as they always said they were...
*Sniffles again feeling the lump form in her throat and raiseing a hand to signal she wasn't done before looking up into his eyes*
I understand what this means...It means I have no one but you right now and I would understand if you preferred not to have this responsibility at this point in time. I just hope that you don't mind me staying here with you...If it's a problem I can find somewhere else but I really don't want to go anywhere else because I know that the only place I'll be happy is with you and...
*Cuts herself off as she realizes she was rambling and sighs rubbing her eyes again*
I just want you to know that I love you Jack, and I know that you love me, and no matter what you decide I'll stand by you and do as you ask...

Jack's hand rose, and grasped Jill's, pulling them gently away from her eyes. "Jill, of course I don't mind you staying with me. I've been wanting to ask you for ages to come here and stay, but never found the right moment... and I guess I just found it." Jack smiled, not believing that Jill would think that he didn't want her to stay. "I have a spare bed, or you know, you could even share my bed," He said softly, a small smile appearing on his face, his eyes sparkling

*Smiles and hugs him resting her head against his shoulder loving just being with him. Taking his hand she wraps her fingers through his and sighs the smile not leaving her face*

Jack closed his eyes, tiredness finally overtaking him. Well, it was 3 o'clock in the morning. He ahd not changed out of his clothes or anything but he did not care. Slowly, but surely, his breathing evened out, until he had fallen into a deep sleep. It had been a hard day not just for Jill, but for Jack as well, and he was exhausted

*Jill falls asleep not long after Jack one arm over his chest her head rested on his shoulder*

Jack woke up with a start, blinking wearily. What was the time?! How long had he been asleep for?! Slowly, he got his bearings, feeling the weight of Jill on him. He gazed down at her peaceful face, a smile coming onto his. He wished she could be this happy all the time.

*Jill slowly wakes up snuggling into the warmth benieth her before realizing that the warmth was breathing and opens her eyes quickly sitting up. When she saw Jack she blushed whispering a 'good morning' and laying back down smiling contentedly*

"Good morning to you too," Jack said softly back. Suddenly, he caught sight of the time, and quickly moved Jill to the side and getting to his feet. "I'm going to be late!" He cried, rushing out of the room, to get a quick wash and shave and to change his clothes.

*Sits up looking at the clock and standing also realizing she would be late too. She goes to get ready and realizes with a gasp that she didn't have anything. It was all at her parent's. She sit's heavily on the couch hugging herself and fighting the tears that wanted to fall and deciding that since she still had the key she would have to to over to the house while everyone was at work and get her thing's before they decided to change the locks*

Jack came back through the lounge, his shirt off, and his hair ruffled. He suddenly noticed Jill still sitting on the couch, crying. A frown flitted across his face, and he stopped in the middle of the room. "Are you alright?" He asked, "Whats wrong?" Jack moved closer to her, shivering slightly at the coldness of the house. He didn't know what had happened... had he done something wrong?

*Looks up at him quickly wipeing away the tears that had fallen and shaking her head trying to smile*
It's nothing...Just kinda realized I don't have clothes or anything...I think I'll stay home from school today and go over while my parent's are at work and get my things...

Jack nodded understandingly, a look of concern on his face. "Are you sure you'll be alright?" He asked, "Should I... Do you want me to take the day off too?" He sat next to Jill, his strong arms embracing her in a hug. What if her parents knew what they were planning to do, and would send the police around? Oh well, Jack frankly, did not care anymore

Jack smiled, and got back on his feet. He left the room once more, to get changed. A couple of minutes later, Jack came back into the room, flashing Jill a quick smile. He looked smart in his suit, and stood infront of the mirror, adjusting his tie. "You sure you'll be alright?" He asked, "You know my work number right?"

Jack suddenly realised what she meant, and turned around to face Jill, a small frown on his face. "You'll be home when I come home right?" He asked, wondering whether he could leave his set of keys with her. It wasn't exactly the safest neighbourhood around here, and Jack didn't think that he would feel comfortable just leaving his house open for any thieve to enter

*Nods with a small smile pulling her hair back into a ponytail using the hairtie on her wrist*
I was just gonna run over this afternoon grab what I needed and come back...It won't take me very long...

"Ok then." Jack turned and searched his pockets for a second, before pulling out a set of keys. "Just keep good care of them," He said, as he chucked them to Jill. "Don't want anything stolen!" Jack smiled once more and then grabbed all the things he needed for work. "I must be going," He said softly, moving closer to Jill. "You sure you'll be alright?"

*Smiles and puts the keys in her pocket looking up at him and nodding*

"Anywhere." Jack said with a smile, quickly kissing Jill on the cheek. "I'll see you later then," He said, quickly moving to the front door, grabbing his coat on the way. "Take care of yourself." With that, he opened the door, and left, his pace brisk, hoping that he wouldn't be late for work

*Watches him go before making her way into his kitchen getting a glass of water and drinking it while thinking. Once done she glances at the clock and sighs knowing that if she started walking now she would be able to reach her old home about a half an hour after they had left for work. She grabbs her coat and makes her way through the door checking that she had the key before locking it. She made her way towards her house walking slowly lost in her thoughts.
Once at the house she tried her key and sighed as it worked and she made her way into the house calling a quick 'hello' to see if anyone was home before making her way to her room. She just looked around for about 5 minutes tears falling silently down her face as she realized this would be the last time she would be here and that things were going to change. Quickly packing clothes and belongings into her two suit-cases she grabbed her backpack and school things she carries her things down to the front door and stopped staring at the wall hanging her mother had bought a couple years ago. It said "Family's stick together no matter what." with a little heart below the words. She glared at it picking up one of the frames from the table that held a picture of the three of them and she threw it at the hanging smiling when it ripped it from the wall glass shattering and falling to the ground to lay in a messy pile..
She made her way back to Jacks house taking her time and having to go slower than usual carrying her suitcases and backpack. The people passing by watched her with concern and one man had even stopped to ask if she was lost. Her only reply was to shake her head and give him a smile muttering a quick, 'I'm fine' and continuing. Once back at his house she unlocked the door making her way in and feeling someone stareing at her she turned to see one of his neighbors watching and just smiled sweetly moving faster into the house and placeing her stuff in the guest bedroom. She took out some clean clothes and bath supplies makeing her way into the bath room and cleaning up before going into the kitchen to have some lunch*
~*~ TIME JUMP ~*~
*Sighs turning the page on her book reading the next chapter before looking at the clock and realizing Jack would be home soon. She yawned stretching and going inot the kitchen to look and see what there was. She knew how to cook and was fairly good at it.*

Jack walked wearily home. It had been a long day, many of the people at work giving him suspicious looks. Noone had yet said anything to his face, but he knew it would come soon, no doubt about it. He heard ours flying thick and fast around the offices, some that were true, and some that weren't. Finally, he got home. Jack was soaked, as it had been raining, and as he had been in such a rush this morning, had forgotten to bring a umbrella. He shook his hair out of his eyes, and opened the front door. The lights were on... Jill must be home. "Hello?" Jack called out

*Smiles as she tastes the homemade spegetti sauce and when she hear's him come in she puts the lid over it making her way towards the door*
Hello...
*See's that he is soaking wet and gasps glancing out the window to see the rain falling down. She hadn't even noticed*
You're all wet! Go change before you get a cold and I have dinner ready in the kitchen if your hungry...
*Blushes as she realizes she was being pushy and ordering him around.*

Jack chuckled as he listened to Jill, finding it funny the way she had just fit straight into his life... and he into hers. Suddenly, the smell of spagetti wafted over to him, and his eyes lit up. "You're making food!" He cried, "I'm starving!" He had to always come home and make his own food, before Jill had come here, and, to be frank, Jack wasn't a very good cook.

*Smiles at him nodding and biteing her lip a little*
Ya...It's just spagetti...
*Sighs and motions to his wet clothes realizing he was dripping onto the floor*
Go get changed...I'll have dinner on the table by the time you finish...

Jack nodded, doing a salute as if he was in the army. "Yes Ma'am!" He said, though with a smile on his face, and marched to the bedroom. Quickly, he took of his wet clothes, replacing them with dry ones, and tried to dry his hair quickly. His stomach bled as he did all this... Jack was starving! As soon as he had finished (leaving the room in a tip, with wet clothes, and towels on the floor), he went back into the kitchen, placing a hand on Jill's shoulder. "Had a good day?" He asked

*Smiles and nods handing him a plate with spagetti and garlic bread on it.*
Yes...I went and got my things then read and finished my homework before making dinner...Nothing to special or exciteing...

"Aw... thanks." Jack said, taking the plate, grinning. He made his way into the dining room, hoping that Jill would also get a plate for herself and come and join him. He sat down at the table, hungrily tucking in. "This is lovely," He called out to Jill, though it was slightly muffled, as his mouth was full.

*Smiles and sets her plate down across from him sitting down and taking a bite of her own surprised that it was actually pretty good*

Jack smiled, quickly finishing his dinner. He leant back contently in his car, his hands behind his head, sighing happily. "That was just what I needed!" Jack couldn't believe how lucky he was to have Jill. She was very mature for her age, and he guessed that that was why he liked being around her so much.

*Smiles at him and finishes her dinner sitting there for a moment before standing and taking there dishes to the kitchen to be washed with the pot and pan she had used.*

Jack smiled. "No problem." Between the both of them, they quickly finished. Jack put away the last plate in the cupboard, and then straightened up to his full height. He didn't know what they would do now... Jack normally just sat down, watched some tv, to try and relax from a hard days work

Though he worried... worried that he wouldn't be what she expected, and that he would let her down, after all she had done for him

Jack shrugged, a small frown on his face. He got to his feet. "Just stay here for a second, I'll go check," He said. Jack smiled quickly and then went to the front door, knowing that he was not expecting anyone. Jack opened the door, seeing policemen standing on the front step. "Er.. Hello. What brings you here tonight then, gentlemen?" Jack asked, trying to be polite as possible. He could guess why they were here, he was just hoping that it was for something different

Taylor smiles and nods at Jack looking past him into the hall. "We got a report of a kidnapping of a little girl named Jill Hillfall. Mr. Miller we have a warrent here saying we can search the house, now you can either make this easy on all of us and let us in yourself or you can be cuffed and restrained as he look..." He said his eyes meeting Jack's as he explained what was going on.
Jill listened as the police man spoke gasping and feeling frozen to the spot.

"Now just wait here a moment!" Jack protested, stepping forwards, so he blocked the doorway. "She is not a little g!rl, she can make her own desicions!" Jeck gripped the doorhandle fiercely, his knuckles turning white, his eyes blazing with anger. He hoped that Jill would have enough sense to try and run out the back... run anywhere, just to get out of this house for a while! "You have no reason to search this house!"

Jill heard Jack and shook her head biteing her lip debating whether she should run or face the poilce. If she ran and they checked the house her things were going to be found upstairs. She silently pray's that Jack wouldn't hate her for this as she stepped around the corner coming into the police man's line of sight.
Taylor sighed wishing that the man hadn't reacted this way. He prepaired to muscle his way past and have his partner cuff the man, then his eyes widened as Jill came around the corner looking worried and nervous. "Hold him." He said pushing past Jack as his partner grabbed the man holding his arms behind him. He made his way to Jill frowning worriedly and taking her arm leading her towards the door. "It's safe now...we have you."
Jill gasped shaking her head and fighing against the grip on her arm. "NO! I'm here of my own choice!" She said quickly grabbing the doorframe to stop them.
Taylor stops turning to face her and frowning seeing her grip on the door way. "What do you mean? Your parent's called in that you were kidnapped..." He said feeling very confused.

As Jack saw the policeman grab Jill's arm, suddenly the anger that had been contained inside of him for so long boiled over. "Let her go!" Jack shouted, kicking the policeman holding him in the knee, sharply, so that he let him go. Jack ran over to Taylor, pulling his shoulders, forcing him to let go of Jill

Jill moves into Jack's arms frowning at the police man. "I left! I wasn't kidnapped! Jack has done nothing wrong, he just offered me a home when my parent's kicked me out of mine!" She said her anger taking control.
Taylor watched them for a moment frowning and shaking his head before looking at the other officer. "Go use the radio and tell them what the girl just said and see what they want us to do." He said motioning towards the squad car sitting out front.

Jack wrapped his arms around Jill protectively, glaring at the policeman. "I think that you should get out of my house, and leave us alone!" Jack demanded. He was angry... he couldn't believe these policemen, that they came barging into his house, and tried to take Jill away. Could they not understand that Jill was happy here?!

Taylor watched his partner go to the squad car and frowned at Jack. "I'm sorry I can't leave without being told it's okay to leave without the girl..." He said in a calm tone looking at them. There was something in the protective hug that made him wonder just how close the pair was.
Jill turned to look at Taylor nodding and turning wrapping her arms around Jack looking up at him with worry filled eyes. "Jack it's okay...Let them ask and whatever happens well figure it out. Now's not the time to get angry." She whispered hopeing he would calm at least a little at her words.

Jack kept his mouth shut, though if you looked into his eyes, you would be able to see how much anger he was containing. Jack gripped Jill's shoulders, staring down into her eyes. "They could take you away, Jill. Don't you understand?! After all we've fought for, they're still the ones who have the authority!" Jack couldn't believe that this was happening!

Jill looked up at him worried and raised a hand to his cheek. "They can't take me, they kicked me out of the house! This is my home now.." She said looking up as the other officer came back.
Taylor met the officer at the door and they talked quietly for a moment before he turned around again. "They say that you wouldn't have left if it wasn't for him, and that's in a way kidnapping. You will both have to come with us to talk to a lawyer and your parents. Until papers are signed you are still under their custody..." He said looking at them thoughtfully. "But I'll give you a helpful hint, ask to be removed from your parent's care for a reason. Just arguing that you want to stay here won't get you far, they're gonna want to know why you don't think it's a good idea to stay with your parents." Taylor said before making his way out the door motioning for them to follow.
Jill listens to him and turns to Jack biteing her lip as she takes his hand. "Let's go...We can think about reason's on the way..." She said quietly worry filling her.

Jack frowned as he heard what the policeman said, shaking his head. "I'm not going Jill!" He muttered to her, "I'm not going to get pushed around by these thugs. They can't do anything to me, they can't stop you from visiting or even staying here with me." Jack gripped Jill's hand tightly, not wanting her to walk out of the door either, not wanting her to go to the police station

Jill looks at him with a frown on her face as she stops her movements listening to his words. "Jack...Either we go down there willingly and you get custody of me or they take me by force and probably put you in jail..." She stops her eyes going distant for a moment before tears fill them. "I couldn't stand the thought of you in jail Jack..." She whispered not blinking hopeing the tear's would go away.

Jack shook his head, letting go of Jill's hand. "Go if you want, but I'm not... What's the worst they can do? Keep me in jail for 24 hours. They have no evidence of this 'kidnapping' that they have made up, so they can't keep me any longer. Jill... I love you. I'm not going to let them take you away, without a fight. As soon as we get down to that police station they will do everything in their will to prove that I am in the wrong... and they will probably succeed."

Jill looked at him wrapping her arms around herself unsure what to do. She blinked and a tear ran down her cheek to be quickly wiped away. "I love you too Jack..." She said before moving forward and wrapping her arms around him closing her eyes. "I'm staying with you..." She whispered knowing he would hear her.

Jack smiled sadly. He did not want to put Jill through this, but there was really no other way. Jack prayed that they wouldn't take Jill away from him, but knew that the law couldn't understand that Jill and himself could actually love eachother. Jack pulled Jill as close as he could, wondering if the policemen might actually just leave them alone if they showed that they wouldn't go... he doubted it though

Taylor turns and see's that they hadn't followed him, returning to the house starting to become angry. He saw them standing there she was wrapped tight in his arms and Taylor couldn't help but sigh. "You two coming or are we going to have problems?" He asked hopeing that for once someone would make it a little easier to do his job.
Jill doesn't move as she hear's Taylor instead leaving Jack to talk to him since it was his idea not to go.

Jack looked up at the policeman, and shook his head. "We will not go. There is nothing to say that there is even the slightest hint of a kidnapping in this house, and there never will be. We do not have to prove ourselves to anyone, because we are happy with eachother." Jack declared, holding tightly onto Jill.

Taylor shakes his head sighing, "Don't be foolish about this...Just come with us and talk it out with the girl's parents...I'm sure if you explain you'll be back home in no time." He said thinking that if the girl's parents had kicked her out once for this they would do it again.
Jill shakes her head knowing her parent's wouldn't let her come back with him.

Jack laughed fakely, staring at the policeman. "There is not a chance in the world that both of us will be back here in no time if we go down to that police station," Jack explained, "And you know that as well as I do." Jack's eyes glittered with a cold fire. Normally Jack wasn't a violent man, but he would be prepared to fight anyone if they even dared to think of taking Jill away from him

Taylor sighs shaking his head and thinking for a moment. "Well the girl is well and she is willing to be here, I can't make you come with me to the station. But I just want you to know that if this issue with the parent's get's worse there will be cuffs and violence. They will have to find a way to file a formal complaint so you should call a lawyer and be ready." He said before turning and walking to the door. He turned back to look at them for a moment before shaking his head and leaving.
Jill moved to the door closing it and coming back to Jack wrapping her arms around him. "Jack I'm scared...what if they find a way to get us apart?" she asked quietly.

Jack shook his head determinedly. "They won't find a way to get us apart," Jack said softly, trying to comfort Jill. "We won't let them... we both love eachother. What more will they need to here before they realise that they are making a big mistake?" Jack knew that it didn't really work like that, but he had to say something. They needed to get on with their lives as well as they could, to make sure that noone else needed to know

Jill sighed knowing his words were mostly to comfort her and realizing that they would need to make a couple calls to insure her parent's couldn't take her from Jack. "Jack...Do you have a lawyer you trust?" She asked softly starting to plan in her mind what would need done.

Jack thought quickly and then nodded, a smile on his face. "Oh yes... and he is a very good one! Not that I have had to use him very often but..." Jack let go of Jill, and went to the phone, and quickly dialled a number. Jack smiled at Jill, as he waited for the other person to pick up. "Oh, hey, Michael. I've got a favour to ask you... Would you be able to come around my house.. like now? You can! Aw, thanks! See you in a minute!" Jack quickly spoke into the telephone, knowing that they had limited time

Jill watches him thoughtfully biting her lip with her hands shoved in her pockets. "So he's good?" she asked softly. She wanted to make sure they had someone they could rely on that wouldn't let anyone seperate her from Jack.

Jack nodded, turning around to face Jill. "Not that I've had to use him much... but he has a very good reputation. He knows the laws of the court very well, and often finds loopholes." All what Jack was saying was true, he had the utmost trust in Michael to get them out of this situation. He also knew that Michael was a very easy-going guy, and wouldn't judge Jack or Jill for what was happening to them

Jill smiled nodding feeling somewhat hopeful now. "So he will do everything he can?" She hoped this man was as good as Jack said because she didn't want to be without Jack and she knew her parent's would get the best lawyer they could.

Jack nodded, taking Jill by the hand, and going back into the living room. "Yeah... yeah he will. He's a good man." Jack sat back down on the sofa, leaving enough space for Jill to sit next to him. He let go of her hand and leant forward, studying the floor as if he would find the answer to a question noone else knew there.

Jill sat down next to him resting a hand on his back for a moment before replacing it with her cheek. "It's all gonna work out...It has to." she said quietly.

Jack nodded, though he didn't really believe what Jill was saying. Things didn't have to happen, just because they said so. But he also didn't really want to say that to Jill. "It'll work out in the end," Jack said softly. He knew that soon, Michael would come, and then they would have to sort out what they needed to say, and get down to the police station, before things got too bad down there.

Jill looked over at the clock knowing Michael would be there soon enough and sighing. She sat up considering for a moment before standing up and going into the kitchen to make some coffee and then hesitating. "Should I make some coffee or tea?" she called to him wanting to make sure she had what he liked.

Jack glanced up, towards the kitchen as Jill called out. "I think he prefers coffee," Jack replied, knowing that she probably wasn't asking about whether he wanted tea or coffee, but what Michael wanted. Jack returned his gaze back down to the floor, trying to sort out what he would say to Michael, and how they would be able to fight their case together

Jill nods and goes back into the kitchen setting the coffee pot and turning it on. She stood there for a moment leaning against the counter her arms crossed as she realized just how serious the situation had become. She felt tears prickle in her eyes and she didn't try to hold them back, she knew that it was going to be a long and hard fight. She was willing to follow it through but she feared that Jack would see it as too much trouble and decide to just leave her.

Suddenly the doorbell rang. Jack sprang to his feet, wanting to get to the door first. He didn't look at Jill as he passed by the kitchen door, though she had her back turned to him even if he had. Jack opened the door, a fake smile appearing on his face, as he saw Michael. For one fleeting second, he thought that it might be the police again. "Come in, come in!" Jack said, still smiling.
Michael nodded in acknowledgement of Jack, stepping into the house, taking it all in. He had come here many times before, but it always seemed to be slightly different every time... either pieces of furniture had been moved, or pictures. He smiled at Jack, still not knowing much of what had happened, and what needed to happen. "How has it been, Jack?" Michael asked, more out of politeness than real interest

Jill jumped as the door bell rang and as she heard Jack walk by she quickly wiped her tears before moving to the doorway. She looked out and studied Michael for a moment not sure if she should make herself known or wait. She figured Jack would call when he wanted her so she went to get out cups and everything needed for coffee.

Jack and Michael spoke politely for a couple of moments, but the conversation soon drifted away to an awkward silence. "You obviously can guess that we need some help?" Jack said, wondering where Jill was. He though she would've come out, would've already introduced herself to Michael. It wasn't like her to hide away. "Jill!" He called.
Michael looked suspiciously at Jack, wondering who the we was Jack was talking to. His frown deepened as he heard Jack call out the name 'Jill'. He didn't quite know what he was getting into here..

Jill heard Jack call and made her way to the door and towards the men smiling politely. "Hello, Sorry I was getting coffee ready." she said stopping to stand next to Jack. She held out her hand to Michael. "Sorry, I seem to have forgotten my manners. My name is Jill." she said her smile slightly nervous.

Michael glanced at Jack worringly, as this young woman walked out to greet him. Surely the woman looked younger than her actual age.. at least Michael hoped that that was the case. Suddenly, Michael realised that there was an awkward silence and that the woman was holding her hand out for Michael to shake. He forced a smile on his face, and firmly took Jill's hand in his own, and shook it. "Hello, very nice to meet you," Michael said, "Michael."
Jack smiled worriedly as he watched Michael and Jill leave. He saw the flash of suspicion and concern on Michael's face for a moment, and hoped that Jill hadn't seen. He also hoped that Michael wouldn't back out of this at the last moment

Jill smiled and shook his hand before letting go and clearing her throat. She felt nervous with Michael and had seen his look, she hoped he wouldn't refuse to help. "I'm just going to go finish with the coffee...want me to bring it to the living room?" she asked turning to Jack.

Jack nodded, smiling. As Jill walked out, he turned back to face Michael. "You're worried aren't you?" Jack asked. As Michael nodded slowly, Jack's smile grew wider still. "Don't worry, you will soon understand what is happening." Jack led Michael into the living room, motioning for him to sit down. "I think we should maybe just wait for Jill to come back in before I say anything... I might get things wrong." Jack said

Jill finished with the coffee and brought it into the living room on a tray she had found, along with milk and sugar. She set it down on the table and smiled. "Started talking yet?" she asked sitting next to Jack.

Jack shook his head, a deadly serious expression on his face now. "I was hoping that you could help me explain Jill." Jack turned back around to face Michael, letting out a deep sigh. "I hope you can understand that we do... Jill and myself, we do love eachother. As much as I'm sure you love your wife." Jack started nervously. "But, judging by your expression, you're like many others... you do not agree with this relationship."

Jill bit her lip as she looked at Michael and saw the look on his face. She was afraid he would refuse to help and that he may actually try to make them break apart. She didn't know how close Michael and Jack were but she hoped they were good enough friends for Michael to understand.

Michael sat mulling over the situation for a while, unsure of what he should do. If he supported the couple, and they won, then Michael would be given great praise, and it would help to get people understanding that these sort of relationships could work. But if they lost.... Michael would be done for. It would be his whole life's work down the pan. No-one would come to him for work. "I don't know what I should do," Michael finally said, speaking his mind. "I mean, I want to help you, being my friends an' all but it could go so wrong...."
Hey Everyone,
I just thought that you need to know that I am going on holiday from tomorrow, Tuesday (18th) to next Saturday (22nd). It’s not too long, but if anyone does need to move my character/s so the r/p can move on, please feel free to do so. I don’t know if I will be able to post on the Saturday night, but probably will on the Sunday.

Jill bit her lip and nodded looking down, "I understand the risk you will have to take with this, but it's a risk for us too. This will not be a quiet case, and we will be questioned and put out where everyone will see us. But we are willing to do this for love. We need someone we know will stand by us and help us through this as best as is possible." she said softly, before looking up at him. "Please help...We will do everything we can to help."

Michael fell silent again, and then looked up at Jill and Jack. Slowly, he nodded, taking a deep breath. "I suppose... Well, yeah, I'll do it... But it'll be a hard job. And you got to go with what I say. There may be somethings that you may not think it is right, but you got to remember that I've done this job all my life... I know what I'm doing." Michael just didn't want any trouble ontop of the trouble he was going to have, by just doing the case

Jill bit her lip and looked at Jack for a moment before nodding. "Alright, I'll go along with it. All I want is to be able to stay here with Jack and live. There is nothing wrong with love." she said softly.
