Plot: Two strangers are locked in a dark room together. They both have a secret. The girl is afraid of the dark, but can make lights come on, even if there is no electricity flow, or the bulb has blown. The guy is scared of the light, but can turn out lights without a light switch. They both have the power to control light, but they work against eachother in the room, not knowing the other is the one turning the light back on or off. They spend almost a day in there together. The girl decides she won't bother with turning the light back on, but instead clings on to the guy for safety. Neither of them are sure who locked them in there or why. They think something is going on so started investigating, soon they are lead to a lone man, who tells them he wants to help them. They think this man is legitimate so they go along with him. What they find out is unknown

Bio: Ellie was always a happy girl, but during her childhood, she developed a fear of the dark, she never went in the dark, and if she did she had to cling on to her dad, her mum or her brother. But soon she couldn't do that. She came home from high school one day and her house was in complete darkness and there was a power cut in her house. She looked at the bulb and suddenly, it came on. She didn't know what was going on, but she looked around the living room and there was her mum, her dad and her brother...all dead. She still doesn't know what happened, but is still looking for the killer

Bio: Declan had always been a lively, energetic child, but he started to develop a fear of light in his early teens. He started to see images, and believed that if he was in the dark, he wouldn't see any of these. If he is in the light and starts seeing images, Declan closes his eyes... Soon he discovered that he could turn off light, without need of a switch

*Ellie sat in the dark cold room. She sighed as she looked up at the light. It was blown, no way a normal person could turn it on. She starred at it for a few moments and suddenly it came on. She smiled braodly, no longer feeling scared. She looked at the other guy in the room, she could now see his face*

Declan flinched as the light turned on, his eyes starting to hurt already, at the sudden light after the darkness.He glanced up at the g!rl next to him, then at the light. Quickly, Declan turned it off, breathing a sigh of relief... none of the images had appeared. Declan didn't know why he was in this room, who the g!rl was who was here as well. He shivered slightly, having only got a t-shirt on

*Ellie whimpered slightly as the light went out. Why had it gone out? Was her power fading? She looked up at Declan and moved a little closer to him. She hated being alone on the dark, it was awful for her. She looked back at the light, but didn't turn t on, thinking her powers were useless at this point. She zipped up her hoodie and looked around the darkness. She couldn't take it anymore. She suddenly clinged on to Declan, she didn't even know this guy, but she needed someone. She couldn't bare the dark*

Declan's muscles tensed as he felt the g!rl suddenly hold onto him. 'Well, at least the light hadn't been turned on', he though to himself. Declan realized that if they were ever going to get out of here, they would both have to work together, so gently, slowly, he brought his arm closest to the g!rl up, and placed it around her shoulders. What little glances Declan had got of the g!rl when the light had been turned on, he didn't think that she was much younger than him. "Whats your name?" He asked softly. Declan was his old self whenever he was in the dark, but as soon as the lights got turned on, he became very aggressive

*Ellie smiled to herself as she felt Declan's strong arm go round her, reminding her of her brother. She felt a little safer, even though she was still scared*
E...Ellie, a...and yours?
*Ellie slightly looked up at Declan, even though she couldn't see him. Her mum had always taught her to look at people, it was manners, common curticy. She always thought her mum was a little strange, but she had helped her through even thing*

"Declan," Declan said. He wondered if the g!rl was afraid of the dark... maybe that was why she was so scared. Declan smiled to himself. What a great combination they made; one scared of the dark and one scared of light! "I know this may seem weird... but... do you have any idea why your, we're here?"

*Ellie shook her head. She then felt a little stupid, they were in the dark, he couldn't she her shake her head*
No, I...I'm n...not too sure
*Ellie looked back up at that broken light bulb, had her powers really stopped working? She squinted, thinking and hoping she was looking at the light bulb. With the sudden thought, it came on and she smiled. Her powers weren't fading*
[The Lone Man unlocks the door while they're asleep]

"Aw &*!$!" Declan cursed as the light came back on, shutting his eyes immediately. He willed it to go off, and so it did. Who was controlling the light? They must know that he was scared of the light. Declan hadn't realised that when the light had been switched on, his grip had tightened around Elle's shoulders. "Why does that damn light keep coming on?" Declan muttered, glaring into the darkness

*Ellie looked at Declan. He was getting pretty p#ssed off that the light kept coming on. She looked at him*

*Ellie looked at little shakey, but Declan obviously couldn't tell because he couldn't see her. She hugged Declan tighter, wanting out of the darkness. But maybe Declan was afraid of the light. She smiled inside, two complete opposite fears locked in a room together. She wondered what the outcome would be*
I wish someone would stop turning the light out though

Declan knew for sure now that Ellie was afraid of the dark, by the way she was shaking under his arm, and gripping onto him. He decided not to tell her that it was actually him turning the light off. "How we gonna get out of here?" Delcna muttered, half to himself and half to Ellie. He rested his head back against the wall, closing his eyes, as his night vision started to kick in

*Ellie looked back up at Declan then at the floor. She sighed as she thought of a plan to get out. The door was locked, she remembered that from earlier. She then looked around, she suddenly saw her brother. But not looking his happy normal self. He was bloody and mangled, like that night he was killed. She screamed slightly and burried her head in Declan's chest. This is one of the reason's she hated the dark. Why couldn't the light just stay on? She whimpered quietly, still hiding*

Declan jumped slightly as Ellie tried to bury herself even further into him. He hadn't been expecting that. Slolwy, Declan could feel sleep overcoming him. Why was he going to sleep at a time like this?! His arm was still around Ellie, liking the feel of her bodyheat next to him. He wondered what would become of them, if they would ever get out of here... and whether they would be able to stand eachother for much longer, as one was scared of the dark and one scared of light... that wasn't exactly the best combination

*Ellie kept her eyes closed, surrounding herself in light. She could still feel Declan close to her, which was a good sign for her. She stayed with her eyes tightly shut, imagining light surrounding her. She wished that door would open, it wasn't she hated being with Declan, it was she hated being in the dark. If the door opened, she'd be in light again, and safe again*

*Ellie sat there, slowly drifting to sleep, light still surrounding her. She was feeling warm and safe, all the elements needed for her to sleep. She snuggled closer to Declan and finally, she was asleep, dreaming dreams of happiness and lightness*

Declan finally let the sleep overcome him, enjoying the place where there was not even a slight hint of light. This was the only place he could ever really relax, nothing could disturb him here. He shifted slightly, Ellie's head resting on his chest, his arm around her shoulder.

**Morning**
*Ellie slowly opened her eyes. There wasn't any difference. She looked up at Declan, restricting her movement so she didn't wake him. She saw he was still asleep, so she thought this would be a good oppurtunity to turn the light on. She looked up at the light and slowly wished it would come on. She smiled as the light filled the room and filled her with happiness. She looked around the room and sighed*

Declan slowly opened his eyes, as he felt Ellie move. He groaned... he never really was a good morning person. He had a thumping headache and his joints ached. And to top it all off, as Declan opened his eyes fully, he saw the light had been switched on again. Quickly Declan shut his eyes again, his breathing rapid. He didn't know if he had enough energy to turn the light back off, and didn't really want Ellie to go all scared again

*Ellie looked up at Declan. She bit her lip, she felt really bad now. She didn't have the power to turn lights off, but if she did, she would help him right now*
Declan...are you okay?
*Ellie felt so stupid, of course he wasn't okay*

"Yeah... fine" Declan muttered through gritted teeth. He edged slightly away from Ellie, his hands clenched into fists. Who was turning the goddamn light on?! How he wished he could be back home in his room, where it was pitch dark. Then none of the images would ever come to him. Slowly, his body relaxed. Declan knew he had to be relaxed if he was to turn the light off. With a deep frown of concentration, the light flickered off, once again

*Ellie scurried closer to Declan and buried her head in his chest, not wanting to even get a glimpse of the darkness. This was getting bad. They needed to find a way out of here. Ellie couldn't do anything in the dark. She slowly shuffled away from Declan, keeping her eyes closed and keeping her self in her imaginary light*
Do you think we should see if the door is open?
*Ellie didn't open her eyes at all, she kept them closed but still moved her head to face Declan*

Declan opened his eyes, smiling into the darkness. He had only known it was dark again by Ellie scurrying over to him. "Yeah, that would be a good idea," Declan said, slowly getting to his feet. Seeing Ellie with her eyes tightly shut, he gently guided/pulled her up to her feet. Looking around, he noticed the thin line of light that marked the edges of the door. "I'm just going to go check the door.. I can see it," Declan said softly, so that Ellie wouldn't get more scared than she already was

*Ellie nodded. She clinged onto Declan's tee shirt. She kept her eyes closedand walked towards the door with Declan. If it was open, there would be light which means Declan wouldn't be able to walk out, unless the light went out mysteriously. The light around her brightened as she thought happier thoughts*

Declan carefully guided Ellie over to the door, reaching for the handle with his free hand, as the other was around Ellie's shoulders. With a grin, Declan pulled the door open, but almost collapsed as the sudden burst of light hit his eyes. His grip weakened on Ellie's shoulders, his eyes tightly shut. And he had been so happy to find a way out... why did things always go wrong for him, Declan thought angrily

*Ellie felt Declan's grip weaken. She wondered what had happened*
Declan? You okay?
*Ellie suddenly realised the one thing Declan hated, that was the one thing she loved. She opened her eyes and smiled as the light filled her. She wasn't too sure on what to do next, but she knew that she and Declan would have to work as a pretty close team to get through this*

Declan felt Ellie relax beside him, realising that now they would have to swap positions. Ellie would now have to lead, and Declan be led. "you lead this time," Declan muttered
(Sorry for such a short post... only on for a moment!)

*Ellie looked up the corridor. Every light was on. She looked back at Declan and took his hand. She smiled and then thought, he probably didn't see that smile. She started to led him out. She looked behind occasionally to see if he was okay. Ellie looked back at Declan again*
You okay still?

Declan nodded, though the expression on his face told a different story. Oh, how he d the light.. he could already start to hear the murmur of faint voices in his ears. Hopefully, Declan would be able to last longer than usual without seeing the images. But he doubted it. Declan hung onto Ellie's hand, almost like a small child holding onto their mother's hand, stumbling slightly every couple steps, mostly tripping over his own feet.

*Ellie sighed. This waas going to be complicated, what about when they got to the door. She didn't even no if it was day or night, she didn't have a watch and there were no windows. She sighed and looked back at Declan again. She was so happy to be n totally light, but she felt so bad for Declan, he must have been having the worst day of his life*
