Plot: Karah Jones is an average american teenager. But, when she was born her father left, leaving her mother to look after her. She has always been told by neighbors and relative that her father was too young to be looking after children, that's why he left. She was told her mother was 20, and her father was sweet 16. Her mother refuses to confirm or dein, so Karah guesses it's true. When it is Karah's 17th birthday sleepover, her mother can't avoid going to a business course. Leaving her daughter and a few other teens in her house, who knews what will happen. Just as the sleepover is getting on, the doorbell rings. Karah answers it, letting in the stranger who claims to be a friend of her mothers. In actual fact, it's her dad. Karah soon falls for her dad thinking he's younger than he is, but that is probably because he told her he was only 25. She tells her best friend that she likes this guy, when the guy who fancies her over hear the conversation, he's heart broken. But who knows what will happen

Hugh stared up at the house, from the bottom of the drive. He knew she hadn't moved out, he had seen her walking in often enough. He hadn't been back for 17 years, so he didn't know why he was coming back now. Hugh knew it was his daughter's birthday, and that she was called Karah, and that was all. He didn't know what she looked like or anything. With a sigh, Hugh slowly made his way up the driveway and pressed the doorbell. It sounded like some kind of party going on inside. He hoped, though he did not know why, that Karah's mother had not moved on and found another guy. Though he couldn't blame her if she had.... it had been a long time ago since they last met.

*Karah walked over to the door, still telling her guests to be quiet. She hoped it wasn't one of those stupid window sellers. Although it was slitghly late. It couldn't be her mum, she was half way to Toronto probably. She slowly opened the door while it was chained and she looked out the crack*

Jack was sat in his room. He glanced at the phone a few times and reached for it. Stopping half way and shaking his head back. Should he call Karah and wish her a happy birthday? Or should he go over with something for her? He had been sitting up in his room for over an hour now thinking it over.

Bio: Friends with Jack and Karah, Known them both for many years now. They have all Kinda grown up together and Ben knows that Jack fancies her.
Had an ok child hood, his Mum and Dad have tryed to bring him up as normally as they could, but with a huge birthmark over his left eye they and himself found it hard. Because of this he found himself to be ugly and that no girl would ever fancy him, Ben is very protective over his little sister Megan who is 15. Normally he would hide the fact about his eye...trying to cover up the fact that it bothered him so badly and annoyed him that people stared and asked about it all of the time, so he offeren turned to drink. (Are you ok with this character?)

Ben stood against the boufette table, with a drink in one hand and food in the other singing along to the muisc drunkly not really knowing the words "Hey Karah! Who is it?" He shouted over to her.

Jack made his decision and got up grabbing hus jacked. Why did he have to not go to a party just because he had feelings for the girl holding it. He had to act cool. If he didnt show up then people would think something was up. He'd use the old line...Fashionably late if anyone asked. He ran down the stairs only to collide with his step father Robin
Robin frowned at his step son "Watch it boy!" He growled.
Jack frowned ignoring the man who he hated anyways and rushed out the door. He ran down along the road seeing as Karah didnt live all that far away. He skidded to a halt next to her house and walked up the garden path. Spotting Karah and a stranger he smirked. One of the smirkes which always made girls feel weak at the knees "Sorry im late" He whispered walking passed the stranger and giving Karah a friendly nudge. He heard Ben inside and walked through into the parlour without being invited "Alright mate" He said as he sat himself down

Ben shouted happily as jack walked in "Wahay!! You made it my good man!!" He said hugging him drunkly "Ya course I'm alright! Never been better!" He laughed kissing him on the cheek jokingly "So how's everything with you and...and Karah?" he said in the lowest whisper he could go when he was drunk, which was more like a low talk.

Jack glanced around and then took hold of Ben's arm dragging him into the kitchen which was empty of people "Dont want everyone knowing mate" He mumbled shaking his head "Now if there was any me and Karah id tell you....for real..but man she is a hard one..." He frowned angrily and brought his fists down onto the work top "You know it really p!sses me off dude....the chick knows I like her..but she doesnt even try and make an effort to even know that im in existance" He reached for one of the cubords and opened it pulling out a bottle of vodka "Fancy a game of shots?" He smirked as he sat himself down upon a stool and began pouring vodka into two glasses

Hugh smiled as Karah opened the door. She was beautiful, and she looked so much like her mum. "You... you must be Karah." He said, not sure on what to say now that Karah was actually in front of him. Hugh moved to the side as another boy went into the house, and then looked back up at Karah. "Is your mum in? I'm an old friend of hers and, and, I just, well, came down to see her." Hugh knew he didn't sound very convincing, but he couldn't actually tell Karah at the door that he was her dad, and he hadn't seen her for 17 years because he had been scared... scared of parenthood.

Well, my mum's out of town for the weekend, but if you want, you can stay here until she gets back, it's okay with me.
*Karah smiled. She had no clue what she had just said and why. It was just something about this guy that seemed trusting. She stepped aside to let him in*

"Thanks," Hugh said, stepping into the house. He looked around, and his gaze stopped at the pictures of Karah's mum. "I don't want to be any trouble, or anything." He said softly, turning back around to face Karah. Suddenly, he remembered one of the reasons he had come here, and took a small velvet box from his jacket pocket. Hugh held it out to Karah, "It's your birthday right?" Inside the box was a beautiful necklace, that Hugh had bought.

*Karah looked inside the box and smiled. It was beautiful. She looked up at Hugh, catching his eye and smiled*

Hugh smiled broadly, his eyes sparkling, when Karah said she liked it. He had guessed right, she liked the same sort of necklaces as her mother did. "Your mum told me," He replied to her question, and glanced over his shoulder, towards the music coming from the living room. "You having a party?" Hugh asked, and then realised he actually hadn't introduced himself. "Oh, and by the way, I'm Hugh... didn't mean to be so rude"

*Karah looked back at Hugh. How could her mum never invite over this good looking guy? He was so cool, he was kind, he bought her a present and she didn't even know him. She smiled up at him*

"Oh right, cheers" Hugh said, grinning. He felt abit uncomfortable, but he supposed he would have to live with it. Hugh kneqw that if he didn't stay and meet Karah's mum, he would never find the courage to come again. He still couldn't believe he was actually here, and that he had met Karah. Hugh moved to the doorway, where the party was being held. There was quite a few people here. He got a drink from the table near him, and leant on the wall, staying in the corner. There wasn't much he could do really. And he kept his gaze on Karah. Hugh couldn't believe how beautiful she had turned out to be. He didn't know how she would react if she found out he was her father, though.

Nadia stands up and moves over close to Karah. "Who is he? I've never seen him before."

Ben pulled himself up a stool shortly afyer being dragged into the kitchen "Ya sorry mate, I no you don't want everyone knowing!" he smiled slightly "I know! I'm sure she knows too So I can't understand why she won't jump into bed with you!" He joked then spoke more seriously "No seriously mate your a good guy I don't get why she's being so...so.." he paused trying to find the right words "Well why she's playing hard to get!" Ben watched Jack go into the cupbords and pull out glasses and Vodka "Sure!!" He smirked, Ben was already very drunk like he normally was when there was drink around. Drowing his pain and worries but as usuall trying to hide it all from everyone "Why not!" ben pulled his stool closer to Jack's picking up one of the glasses "Ready when you are!"

Hugh saw Karah glance at him, and he smiled back. Taking a sip of punch, he realised that this wasn't the best plan in the world. For instance where as he going to sleep? Karah was having a sleepover, he couldn't exactly sleep in the house. Hugh tried to make himself smaller almost, further into the corner. He was trying not to get noticed, and he didn't feel comfortable here. He stared down into his drink. What if Karah's mum came back?! What would he say then? Karah probably wouldn't trust him again once she found out

I don't know all of my mum's friends you know. I mean, I know my mum has met some weird-os, but this guy seems...I dunno...safe to be with

He asked before he downed the vodka and grimanced at the taste. It was horrible and he felt his throat become hot. "C'mon mate let's get back to the party" He mumbled taking holdo f the vodka bottle

Ben downed his drink, pulling a face of disgust as it went down, however afterwards his same cheeky smile was brough back to his face. "Thats the spirit! Then you can find out for yourself!" He stood up, stumbling off the stool as he got up "I think..I'm alittle drunk!" he said as he walked out into the crowded room once again. Afew people he didn't know stared as they walked out of the kitchen, Some guy looked at him with disgust "YOU GOT A PROBLEM!" He bellowed striding right up to the guy in a threatening way. He always got like this when he got this drunk "Ya Don't you think I know I'm different to you! I don't need the likes of YOU making it worst!" he shouted in this guys face getting closer and closer to his face as he spoke.

Jack grabbed hold of Ben's arms and tried to pull him away "Dont bother Ben" He snapped "It aint worth it c'mon sit down with me dude..let's get pissed and admire the lovely ladies here!" He urged trying to urge his friend away from an unfriendly situation

"Ok OK!!" he gave this new guy a threatening look, but took the hint to drop it "Not worth it" he muttered to himself before sitting down, trying to calm himself down "Why can't people take me for who I am a!" he looked around the room "Yes there are some lovely ladys here...but I aint..." he stopped, he found it hard to say it so he tryed to change the subject "Anyways Who was that over there with Karah?" he asked spotting someone he didn't know who had been talking with Karah before he was dragged into the kitchen.

Jack's eyes narrowed slightly "You aint what?" He asked but suddenly changing the subject totally and quickly turning to look at Karah "Who theh ell is that dude?" He asked "Looks like a flaming junkie..I think we should to save her from him!" He muttered

Ben smiled at Jack "So do I...you can be her knight in shining armour!!" He joked and was thankful that he had manged to change the subject. Because of the way he looked he had always thought that he didn't have a hope in hell with anyone he meet, thats what he was about to say before he found himself changing the attention over to Karah.

Nah, he said he couldn't come, he got grounded aparently.
*Karah looked around at Hugh. She smiled over at him. She sighed as she looked back into her drink. This wasn't strong enough for the night ahead. She looked at the clock. She was glad that only her closest friends were sleeping over, she couldn't stand having all of these people staying*

Hugh was having regrets about coming here. He moved forward to touch Karah's arm, smiling slightly as she looked up. "Maybe I should go" Hugh said softly, his hand still resting slightly on her elbow. "Can I just say that you are beautiful," he said quietly, speaking his thoughts aloud. Realising that he had said it, Hugh realised he may have sounded a bit weird. "I mean, you look like your mother... How old are you?" Hugh knew how old Karah was, that she was nearly 17, but he just wanted to make sure.

Jack nodded at Ben and rose to his feet "C'mon" He said before heading off towards Karah. He narrowed his eyes as he reached her and the stranger "This guy bothering you Karah?" He asked shooting a glare at Hugh "You better leave man...unless you want me to call the police and tell them a perv is trying to butt into the party of a seventeen year old girl" He took hold of Karah's arm gently "I need to talk to you Karah.." He whispered so only she could hear and then returned his gaze to Hugh waiting for a reply.

Nadia started wandering around. She picked up her cell and dialed Thomas house.
"Hello?"
"Hi. Mrs. Larson is Thomas there?"
"Yes he is. Is this Nadia?"
"Yes Mrs. Larson."
"Nadia how's your mother?"
"She's better. The doctors think she'll be able to come home in a couple of days."
"Good. I'm glad to hear that. Tell her we're thinking about her."
"I will Mrs. Larson."
"Well heres Thomas. He can't talk long because he has work to do."
"Yes Mrs. Larson........"
"Nadia?"
"Hey Tom. I'm over at Karah's house and I was wondering what you were doing."
"Got grounded. I got a C- on my last test and mum thinks I need to study more."
"So you aren't coming."
"Afraid not. Sorry Nadia. I have to go Mum's starting to get mad. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye."
She hangs up the phone and looks around for Karah.

Hugh glanced at the boy who was talking to him. He smiled as he heard what Jack thought he was, wondering why he seemed to be so protective over Karah. Hugh had a quick temper, and he wasn't going to be stopped staying with Karah by a boy who was at least 10 years younger than him. "Kid, if Karah didn't want me here she would have not let me in. I think you should try and get your facts straight before you go accusing people of things, and maybe learn a little respect for you elders!" Hugh said softly

Ben staggered over towards Hugh with Jack, smiling as he reached Karah "Happy Birthday again babes!" he said hugging her and planting another kiss on her cheek "You no I loves you right?" he asked with a cheeky grin on his face. Watching Jack and Hugh talk he frowned deeply as Hugh spoke "Hey..Hes just looking out for his friend! Wouldn't you if you saw some strange old gezza hanging around a young may I say Beauitful girl like Karah?" he smiled slightly as he glanced at Jack.

*Karah turned her attention back to Hugh. He was different from most of her mum's friends. Most them wouldn't even talk to her because she was a teenager. She liked Hugh, she liked Hugh a lot. Karah smiled at Hugh*

*Karah smiled once again*

Jack frowned slightly and glanced at Ben "It's really important what I have to tell you!" He demanded. "C'mon babe...ill only hold you for a second..please" He gave her one of his best innocent little smiles along with a whimper such asa dog would make when it needed food or attention

Jack looked at her and then down at the floor "Well..." He began "You know I like you right?" He whispered so only she could hear him "I was thinking..." He looked down blushingly

*Karah bit her lip, she really had no idea what to say to Jack. She didn't even know he liked her, she just thought of him as a friend*

*Karah looked back at Jack and sighed. She really had no idea on what to say to him next. She rubbed the top of her arm and looked around the room. She saw one of the guys at the party ready to throw up. Karah gasped and ran over to him, putting the bin under him so he wouldn't create a mess on the carpet. She tried not to look back at Jack, she was glad this guy needed to puke, she didn't have to face Jack then*

"Nadia hun it's dad."
"Dad? What is it?"
"I don't want you to worry but we had to take your mother to the hospital."
"What happened?"
"She wasn't feeling well. I just wanted you to know where we were so you wouldn't worry when you got home. We love you and we'll see you in the moring alright?"
"Yeah. bye."
She hangs up the cell, sits down and buries her face in her hands.

Ben stood back as Jack spoke with Karah as not to make it any harder then it could have been anyway. He watched them intently, as Karah walked away he felt sadness for Jack. Walking up to him he placed a comforting hand on his shoulder "She didn't know....Must be a shock to find out one of your best mates has the hots for you, she'll come around youll see" he smiled warmly at his friend "Hey...fancy me getting that vile stuff out the cupbord again?" his legendary cheeky smile fell onto his face again.

Jack watched Karah go and looked down "Yeah vile stuff sounds good right now" He whispered "C'mon this party is getting BORING!" He said loudly just so Karah would hear him

*Karah looked up at Jack as she bit her lip. She sighed and looked back at the guy she was helping. What could she say to Jack? Not much is the answer. She smiled at the guy reassuringly as he put his hand on her shoulder. He then passed out on to the floor, knocking over the bin. Karah ran her hand through her hair and sighed with frustration. She walked into the kitchen*

Ben rolled his eyes at Jacks remark as they walked into the kitchen, as he did so he pulled the vodka out of the cupbord and placed himself on the stoods they were on earlier "Right....time to get...COMPLETLY Rat faced!!" he laughed loudly as he poured the drinks "1...2..3!" they downed them...they did this several more times however each time they did it didnt taste as bad. "Right...Lets go find some...Ladyz!!" he yelled, thinking he was that drunk he went to stand up but his legs gave way forcing him to fall onto the cold kitchen tiles "Maybe...I was a little drunk before?" he asked as he pulled himself back up "Lets try that AGAIN!!" Ben said as he steddyed his feet and giggled drunkly. "LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED JACK!!!!!!!!!"

Jack looked at Ben and smirked. He got off the stool he was sitting on and wobbled slightly. "Yeah.." He mumbled grumpily. Alcohol had a strange effect on Jack. Sometimes he would be happy and bouncy other times dangerous and moody. He was unsure which he was at the moment. He smirked at Ben and shook his head "You drunk!" He laughed before grabbing hold of his friend before he fell over himself "Ohh god..id like to give Karah one..." He slurred leaning on Ben for support "She is such a lovely girl you know..." He carried on drunkenly "So bloody stuck up..I aint good enough for her you know?" He laughed loudly and hsook his head "Let;s find some decent chicks who like...good conversation and two studs like us!"

*Nadia turns to look.* "Yeah. I think Karah said something to Jack."

*Karah sighed as she looked at Jack and Ben. She looked through the drawers to find a cloth of some sort. She found one and took it out of the drawer. She then looked at Ben and Jack*

Ben laughed as Jack spoke, he was so drunk he didn't think that Karah might here and be hurt by this so he staggered out into the lounge where everyone else was "Hey.....LADYZ!" He shouted as they fell threw the doorway holding eachother up. Ben smiled cheekily as he walked around with Jack, the only problem was was if someone gave him a funny look or started something he knew he could get quiet agressive when he was sober let alone drunk. "She'll-she'll come around Jack youll see!" he told him louder then he had wanted "Maybe" *hic* "Maybe I should get us some m-more drinks?"

Jack laughed and shook his head "No no no no...Karah dont love me...but she dont know what she's missin....nope..I want to marry her" He slurred..."Have loads of fun makin babies.." He looked at Ben for a moment and then burst into tears. Something which he NEVER did in the company of so many people. But he had drank much more than he usially did at a party. He took one look around and rushed off back into the kitchen

Ben laughed with Jack, glancing ar Karah every so often everything was going great untill suddenly Jack burst into tears.....Jack never did this Ben himself couldnt remember the last time he saw him cry. Ben watched him run off before realising he should go after him, however before he did so he looked at Karah and shook his head. "Jack...Jack mate you alright?" he asked trying to sober himself up slightly, he pushed the door too and saw Jack stood there in the kitchen "Hey....What happened mate? I can't remember the last time I saw you do this?" he asked putting another conforting hand into Jacks shoulder "I didn't know what Karah said to you but It couldnt have been that bad could it?" he asked again frowning slightly, before pulling up a seat "You...You love her don't you.." he smiled the best he could while he felt his head spinning.

Jack looked at Ben suddenly and frowned "Yeah right..." He lied "Like hell I do.." He sniffed and rubbed his eyes. He frowned. looking at himself using the sink. He frowned puffy eyes...Staggering...His hair a mess..."Ugh" He mumbled straightening his shirt "We should go Ben let's go to a club or something" He needed something...anything to stop himself from thinking of Karah and her reaction to him whe he htold her he liked her..

Ben watched Jack for amoment, he knew he was lying he could read him like a book "Ya whatever you say mate....Come on its me..You tell me everything, I know how you feel about that girl Jack, I just wish I could feel about someone like that too" he smiled slightly and tyed up his shoe lace "We can't leave..Its Karah's birthday!! And your not going anywhere in a state like this! And anyway Its not like she said No is it, she didn't say anything!" he paused for a minute "Think about it...if you Didn't like Karah and she came up to you and suddenly out of the blue told you she liked you? You'd feel awkard about the whole situation wouldn't you because she is your friend....like you wouldn't want to hurt her or anything would you"
Ben stood up and pushed the chair back where it was "Come on mate your a good looking guy! Think yourself lucky you aint got a face like mine!!!" he tryed to make it sound like a joke but deep down he really ment it.

Hugh silently watched the crowd, standing near the drinks table. He felt so out of place, knew that he had to go. Hugh noticed the boy who had called Karah over to talk, the one who had fought with him, how he seemed to be getting more and more drunk. It could be getting dangerous here soon, and Hugh didn't want Karah to be getting in over her head. Hugh reached down for his glass, not realising that he picked up the wrong one. He quickly downed it in one go, and then started to walk over to Karah. Though he did not make it that far. A searing pain ripped through his stomach, and Hugh crumpled to his knees, with a low groan, gripping his stomach, unable to support himself.

Jack looked at Ben and sighed "It's hopeless" He mumbled sitting himself down once again. He was getting tired but he wouldnt leave the party just yet. "Dude dont put yourself down!" He said turning then as he heard a groan and saw Hugh on the floor. He frowned "Old perve 's bladdered" He mumbled shaking his head "Let's go back into the livin room...I wanna see hat stupid stunts this dude pulls off in his pissed state"

Hugh noticed how there seemed to be a crowd developing, so he pulled himself to his feet, still clutching at his stomach. He stumbled across the floor, leaning against the wall as he went. He'd gone pale, and was sweating. Hugh didn't know where he was going, but he needed to get out of the living room, where the main crowd was. Hugh almost fell into the hallway.

Jack raised an eyebrow and frowned "He's probably on drugs or something" He whispered so only Ben could hear him. He watched as Hugh fell into the hallway "Im gunna regret this...but c'mon" He staggered towards the hallway and knelt/fell beside Hugh "What's wrong?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

Hugh glared up at the boy who was infront of him. It was that boy again! Hugh couldn't seem to get away from him. "Nothing," Hugh growled, not entirely sure himself. He sat down properly, leaning his head back on the wall, taking deep breaths. He was trying to think of how this had come on... His vision was starting to blur, but Hugh didn't care anymore.

Ben tryed to wipe the grin from his face but found this hard to controll "He alright?" he asked trying to sound concerned, before nudging Jack "Maybe you should go and help Karah out? I know you don't like him but Will get you good marks in her book?" he whispered to him giving Jack alittle push towards them both.

Jack frowned at Hugh's words "Fine of you dont need help" He turned to Ben "Hey he doesnt want our help so what can we do eh?" He asked. He glanced at Karah and bit his lip

Hugh started to feel the pain ease off, and nodded, smiling slightly at Karah. "Yeah, it's getting better" He muttered. He glanced up at the two boys, Jack and Ben... Hugh hadn't meant to be so harsh to them, it was just, well, he had been in a lot of pain. Hugh shrugged mentally to himself, and turned back to Karah. He stared deep into her eyes, almost forgetting that she was his daughter... she looked so like her mother, like her mother had looked like when she and Hugh had met.

Don't be playing tonsil tennis just yet PLEASE!!" he said trying to get in the middle of Karah and Hugh while still keeping hold of Jack throwing looks at him to say "Just drop it"

This dump is beginning to bore me.." He said in a slight hiss. Ben smiling again before he hugged Karah and kissed her "Have a good one ya!" he said slipping £30 into her hand "Cya babe!" he said before running out after Jack "Hey so where we going?"

Ben yelled everytime one passed having no luck so far.

Hugh bit his lip, staring down at the ground. He might as well get it all out now, she would find out some way or another, sooner or later. He turned back to her, gently taking her hands in his. "Well, you know... you know I said I was one of your mother's friends." Hugh started out, "That's true... I think. But earlier... a long time ago.. I was more than a friend, and well..." Hugh couldn't continue, he didn't want to tell Karah. What would she think of him after that? Karah probably had friends that were as old as him!

Ben fell out of the taxi follwed by Jack and they walked up to Jack's house "You find the lock ok?" he asked giggly "Seriously Mate she'll come around.." he stopped, some random guy passed Jack's house staring at Ben like they normally did "HEY YOU GOT A PROBLEM!!!" Ben bellowed at him, He was so drunk he could normally control himself but tonight was a different story
"YA I HAVE ACTUALLY!! YOUR UGLY FACE!!" The man walked up to Ben threateningly. "Come on then!!" Ben walked right up to this guy there nose's barly apart. Ben threw his coat on the ground and marched up to him again "You first"
The guy threw a punch, which missed and hit Ben's shoulder, Ben laughed at him before thrusting his fist into the guys face.
Ben stood over him glaring down at him "Sorry what did you say" he spat down on him "WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!"
"Get off me" The guy threw Ben off him and pushed him agressivly before walking off wiping his bleeding lip. Shouting offencive things over his should Ben went to jump him from behind before he heard Jack telling him no.
Ben bed his fist "Sorry about that..." He didn't know what was wrong with him tonight, he was never normally this violent when it came to the subject of the mark on his face, First the fight he nearly got into at Karah's party now the one he just had.

Jack managed a "yes" to Ben on the Having a bad night part and then continued to spew into the sink violently. He groaned finally emerging and taking a drink and gargeling then whiping his mouth. He held his stomach "Dont worry about it alright mate. Im sure there is something the docs can do." He then heard the door and frowned "Who could that be?" He said as he went to answer it. He pulled the door open and stopped dead in his tracks on seeing Karah. What was she doing here now? How did he look? What did she want to tell him off?

Ben shook his head in disbelief as Jack told him about the docs, but desicided it was best to steer clear of the subject for awhile..he had enough idea's running threw his head anyways. He could not could tell Jack about these ideas because he knew that he'd only try and talk him out of them. Ben jumped as he heard the door go watching Jack as he went out to open it, however staying in the kitchen. As Karah stood at the door he felt a great deal of saddness in his stomach for his friend...rolling back and forth on the balls of his feet as he watched the two of them.

Rubbing his bloody knuckles as he looked at them both he smiled awkawrdly.

Hugh's gaze switched constantly from the tow boys, his jaw set, and his fists clenched at his side. "I want to see Karah!" He said, sternly, "And I don't believe that you are allowed to stop me." With that, Hugh pushed against Ben's arm, breaking through. Hugh knew that the boys would stop him as well as they could, but he was determined to see Karah to at least say sorry. He knew that he had been wrong to trick her, but he couldn't let her leave now, not after just finding her

Jack pushed Hugh back "Dont even think of coming into this house" He snapped "..Ben call the police tell them we have a raving loonie trying to get into my house..Say he has a knife and is hurling abuse at us" He said glancing at his friend. He looked over towards the direction of the living room, Hoping Karah would not come out..

"Don't you dare!" Hugh cried, trying to make his voice as loud as possible, so that Karah would hear. "I'm allowed to see my own daughter!" Suddenly, Hugh drew his fist back, and punched Jack, square in the jaw. Anger rose inside of him, his eyes flashing. "I'm allowed to see my own daughter!" Hugh bellowed once more, glarign at Ben and Jack

Jack fell back against Ben his mouth pouring with blood. "Ohh god..I think he just broke my teeth!" He gasped as he straightened himself. He spat blood from his mouth and dived for Hugh, How dare such a perverted old man come into his house and try throw his weight around.

"YOUR BREAKING AND ENTERING!!!" Ben also threw himself at Hugh, grabbing him by the scruff of his neck. After everything that had happened tonight Ben had had enough "FIRST YOU TRICK YOUR OWN DAUGHTER, THEN YOU BARGE INTO A HOUSE WHICH YOUR NOT INVITED INTO THEN YOU PUNCH JACK IN THE FACE!!" Ben rambled on before kicking Hugh in the stomack "You !" He swore loudly in his face "Your sick! Your filth! You don't deserve to be Karah's Father!!!!!!" He screaming at him uncontrollably, Ben kicked him again not really caring about what could happen to him.

Hugh tried to protect himself from the blows raining down on him from Ben. He eventually got back on his feet, staggering for a moment, before swinging wildly at Ben, connecting with his nose. Suddenly, there was a loud crak. Hugh frowned... he had just broken this boy's nose! Though he had no time to waste... It was his turn to show Ben how it felt like to be beaten. His punches became firmer, and harder, a determined look on his face.

Jack missed Hugh and flew into a vase ( ::))
Causing it to crack, He winced as he felt his head suddenly throb. He felt dazed and tried to rise but couldnt. "Ben..stop" He mumbled. "Ben...call an ambulance.." He said. His voice was low but he could not shout. He felt himself black out.
(Aye dramatic I know a peice of Vase in his head. Wonder if that has ever happened ???)

Ben fell to the ground, holding his nose in pain, blood spread across his face he tryed to curl up into a ball to lessen the pain of Hughs blows all over his body....it felt like a knife had been put threw the top of his skull as the pain spread across his face. Blood from his nose was now on Hughs clothes aswell as his own, Hugh crushed his body as he sat across him feeling his punches get harder and harder. Ben tryed to tell him to stop but he couldn't talk....he couldnt move...he couldnt get Hugh from him or even struggle....he couldnt do anything but hold his face and wait for him to stop.

Hugh finally stopped, rocking back on his heels, catching his breath. He glanced at Jack, and then at Ben... what had he done?! What would Karah think of him now? Hugh pulled out his phone, and typed in 999. "Hello, I need a ambulance please... and the police..." Hugh said as the operator picked up... He was going to give himself in

Jack lay un-moving on the floor near the stairs. Blood poured from the large cut on his head caused by a sharp peice of the vase, He grumbled something but did not open his eyes nor move. He could hear everything around him, but could not acknowledge anyone.

Ben layed there on the floor, curled up into a tight ball...groaning in pain...trying to catch his breathe. Ben had not heard Hugh using the phone he lay there waiting for the pain to lessen. Afew minutes had past before Ben rolled over onto his back..looking at his torn blood stained clothes, wincing as he did so...he pulled his hands away from his face he couldn't see what it was liked but realised it was bad from Hughs reaction. He tryed to sit up but it was too painful "Jack...Jack.." he muttered before looking up at Hugh with teary eyes"W-why..?" Wheres Karah? he suddenly thought...she was there when Ben went outside but where was she now?

*Karah could hear noise. She ignored to begin with, but as it got louder she rose to her feet. When it stopped, she slowly walked into the hallway. She saw Jack and Ben laying on the floor. She looked up at saw Hugh in a blood stained shirt. She glared at him. Why had he done this? How dare he do this this? First he messes with her feelings now he messes with her friends! Tears of hatred and anger rolled down her cheeks as she stared at him*
What the hell?!
*Karah ran at Hugh and started to attack him. But soon her emotions overwhelmed her and she broke down and fell to her knees*

Jack forced his eyes open but only for a few moments. His vision was blurred and the room began to spin. There was a terrible throbbing pain in his head but he did not try to move. It seemed every little thing he did was painful. His eyes closed once again and his breathing became shorter.

Hugh stood still, not moving, not seeing as Karah started to attack him. He did not know what he had done... He had just gone mad! Hugh could hear the whine of the sirens comign closer and closer, and yet he still did not move. Hugh saw Jack pen his eyes, glad to see that at least he hadn't kiled the two boys. Why couldn't he do anything right ever? He always made the wrong desicions!

Ben looked up at Karah, trying to give her some sort of sign that he wasn't so bad...try to reasure her even though he was in an ements amoung of pain. He watched her as she fell to her knees and took her hand "Karah..." he whispered before he heard the sirens "Sirens...you didn't call an ambulance? Not for me....Jack...take Jack...he needs it more then me" he muttered..he was so confused for some reason he thought there would only be room for one of them. "Leave me here..I'm ok.." he smiled weakly before laying back down on the floor. Before he knew it there were bangs on the door, several voices could be heard from outside "Make yourself usesfull and let them in.." he told Hugh with a croaky sound to his voice.

Jack did not hear the sirens nor the knocks on the door. Everything had gone blank, Everything was dark and silent. He lay where he had fallen, Peices of shattered vase lay scattered around at the bottom of the stairs.

*Karah looked at Hugh. She slowly let go of Ben's hand and opened the front door after standing up. She looked at the paramedics as they tried to tend to the two boys. She felt so helpless. She couldn't do a thing, only stand there and watch. She glanced at Hugh and looked away. She hoped they were okay*

Ben tryed to tell the paramedics what had happened but they couldn't understand him over the oxygen mask. He kept trying to fight them off to get to Jack, make sure he was ok....make sure they were taking care of him but they were too strong and held him down. They picked him up and placed him and Jack onto strechers Ben looked at Karah smiling from under his mask before giving Huge a look of pure haterd. As they carried him past Hugh Ben tryed to lash out but one of the paramedics grabbed his arm and help him in place untill they got him into the Ambulance. "It's ok Ben..your friends in the other Ambulance you'll be able to see him once we have sorted you both out" The Paramedic told him. "The police arrived with us...I dont know what they have done with Hugh?" he told him and closed the back doors of the Ambulance, sitting down beside him keeping an eye on him while they drove to the Hospital.

But I'm his girlfriend!
*Karah looked back at Hugh, wondering if he heard that*

Hugh was handcufed by the police, as soon as they found out what had happened. He watched Karah silently, not yet saying a word. As he heard what she said, about Jack being her boyfriend, his shoulders slumped, and his head drooped. He didn't know if she was just saying that to get back at him or what... "You can go in there as well, and see what you have done." The policeman sneered, pushing him into the ambulance.

As Ben layed in the back of the Abulance he glanced out the window letting out a huge sigh taking his mask away from his face "How long will I be at the hospital?" The Paramedic shook his head "Well once we get you X-rayed,Banaged up and got that nose of yours fixed...it all depends on the results of the X-rays then we can see what your like in the morning" "Oh great..." he said sarcasticly "It's all HIS fault! I hope they have taken him away! I Hope he never gets let out!!" Ben shouted, "Calm down! Don't wind yourself up about it....the police have him now they will know what to do with him" he reasured him and they stopped outside the Hospital.

A policeman sat either side of Hugh, making sure to keep a close eye on him. They had needed to bring Hugh to the hospital anyway, as he needed to get checked over, from the fight. He closed his eyes, trying to get away from the scene, trying to forget all that had happened. But that would be pratically impossible. Hugh couldn't even block out what the others were saying...
Hugh was pulled out of the ambulance at the same time as the others.

*Karah got out of the ambulance as the wheeled Jack in. She looked at Hugh as she walked along behind him. She couldn't believe what had happened. It was her birthday for cripes sakes and it was ruined by one stupid kiss*

Ben was quickly taken up to the X-ray room by afew Nurses and a Doctor, while Jack was taken the other way "He'll be alright won't he?" "He's in good hands....just lay still for me while we place you onto the machine"They layed Ben onto a table like machine and places cold mats across his body, taking X-rays of many different parts of him. They muttered amoungst themselves as they looked at the X-rays, they placed him back into the bed....The doctor came over and stood by Ben's side "Right....from what we can see you have a broken arm....several broken ribs...severe brusing to your stomach and chest and a broken nose" he smiled slightly "I'm sorry to say you'll be hear for afew nights, Just so we can keep an eye on you" The doctor told his nurses to take him to a suitable room so they could place arm into a cast and everything else they had to do. "I'll come and see you later on Ben" Ben was taken into a small where they put from the top of his shoulder to his wrist into a plastercast, cleaned up his face and put him into some clean hospital clothes, before they took him off to a ward "Great....It's my friends birthday and she spends it at a Hospital! one them being me who beat up her dad!!" he sighed "Great friend i turned out to be! AND I won't be able to use the whole of my right arm for months!!!" He told the nurse as she helped him into bed.

Ben smiled weakly as Karah came over "Well your DAD has broken most of the bones in this arm...Ive got broken ribs...Broken nose and bad bruising to my stomach and chest, other then that I'm fine" he pulled himself up, wincing in pain as he did so "I've got to stay here for afew days...ahwell....Hows Jack?"

*Karah looked at Ben, he looked pretty beaten up. She never would have thought Hugh could do this. She never would have thought Hugh was her dad*

Ben looked up at her "Don't beat yourself up about it....I mean I'm to blame too! I did jump your Dad and cause him to do this to me...Some friend I turned out to be!" he said as he gentally placed himself back down onto his pillow. Ben looked up at the clock, it was now the middle of the night he was so exorsited it was unbelievable "Want to sign my arm?" he joked "Theres loads of room!!" Ben looked down at his cast reaching from the top of his shoulder to his wrist.
Jack was rushed into surgery as they needed to examin his head, taking the broken vast pieces and draning it all they stitched him back up (They had to shave his head to get to where they wanted), look him down in the lift and pushed him into the same ward as Ben. Jack lay there still under anasetic
"You should get some rest Ben...It's late and Jack won't wake up untill the morning anyway" the Doctor said as she made sure Jack was ok and walked over towards Ben "Your friend can stay in the guest room if she wishes...If not theres a free telephone out the front where she can call a Taxi" she smiled and sorted Ben's pillows out "If you need me or anyone else just press the buzzer ok" she smiled and walked towards the door "Goodnight"

Hugh was checked over, glad to see the nurses not acting any different or asking any questions because of the policeman that surrounded him. He looked pale, and weak, and clutched at his stomach. As the nurses examined him, they started to frown, glancing at eachother every once in a while One slowly slipped away, knowing that Hugh had come with Karah, and quickly found her. "Please may I talk to you for a moment?" She asked softly

The nurse glanced at Ben, and then back to Karah. "The man you came in... who is with the police. Has he been throwing up, or had stomach pains recently?" She asked, knowing that Karah may not want to reply, after what the man had obviously done... but the nurse reckoned that Karah was the only option to ask, as no-one else would really know

*Karah went to shake her head then suddenly remembered when he was at the party. She looked at the nurse, slightly concerned*
Yeah, he has actually, why?
*Why? Karah kicked herself mentally. Why did she want to know how that life wrecker was? She guessed no matter how much she hated him, he was still her dad*

"We fear his appendix may have burst. We will have to operate." The nurse whispered hurriedly. "Would you like to say anything to him?" The nurse wondered whether Karah would come, or get her to pass the message on, or even say anything at all. What had happened was pretty easy to guess. The nurse knew that she wouldn't want to say anything to Hugh, but she didn't know about him being Karah's father...

Ben looked up at the nurse and gluped "D-did I cause this to happen to him?" he asked feeling guilt sway over him "I didn't mean for it to get this bad...I only wanted to stop him..not to put his life in danger" he glanced between Karah and the nurse.

The nurse shook her head at Ben's question, a reasurring smile on his face. "No one caused this. It is just remarkable that he has been walking around with so much pain. And don't worry, this is just a routine operation. He will be fine" The nurse smiled once more, and then turned on her heel, leaving to go back to Hugh

Ben looked up at karah relieved at the news, he spoke to her for afew minutes before he fell asleep mid sentance. He turned over with his hands against his face he lay there silently sleeping, the bruises coming out...his face was black and blue and his nose was at an angle.

*Karah half smiled as Ben fell asleep. She touched his face, and walked out. She slowly walked to the guest room and sat down. She sighed. Waiting was all she could do. She looked around, no one else here. She looked at the clock. She wondered what happened to Jack*

The following Morning
Ben was woken up to the breakfast trolly being pushed around, he glanced over at Jack's bed, he still hadn't woken up yet. Ben sighed and tried pulling himself up, struggling as the pain filled his body "I'll help you" a passing nurse said as she saw him struggling "Your face will look bad today as the bruising and swelling with start to come out some more, but it will go down eventually" she smiled sitting him up and painfree as she could "You'll be able to wow the ladys with your arm" Ben smiled "I s'pose...and Could I possibly have a mirror?" he asked having not seen his face since it had all happened. The nurse passed him a mirror and stood back, as he looked in it his reflection caught his breath, his left cheek was swollen and his face covered in brusied aswell as his nose being more to the right then the centre, however you couldn't see his mark on his face "The bruising helps in some ways" he told the nurse even tho she wouldn't know what he was talking about. "I'll have some toast please" he said as the nurse brought the tray round to him "Thanks" he pulled his table across his bed with his good arm and placed his toast ontop, everynow and then looking over at Jack wishing he would wake up soon.

*Karah woke up and sighed. She streched and looked around. She was still alone in this room. She slowly walked to Ben's bed. She didn't think he'd be awake. She smiled as she saw he was*

Ben smiled as she walked in "Hey gorgeous!" he lent over and hugged her with his good arm "He should wake up sometime soon" he smiled reassuring knowing she would have been worring most of the night.

Dunno if you peeps wants to revive this roleplay. But seeing as I am back on AOTR (for the time anyways) I thought I may as well post here see if it can be revived. It was good rp ^_^
Jack groaned and slowly opened his eyes. It took a few moments for his eyes to ajust. He looked around confused. Where was he? Why was his head throbbing? He pulled himself into a sitting position and looked around seeing Ben and Karah. He raised an eyebrow. "Wha..?" He managed to mumble. He looked at them wondering why the heck Ben was in bed looking battered and why Karah look like she had not slept at all..

Ben smiled the feeling of relief filled him with warmth as he saw Jack wake up, pulling himself up slowly he looked over to him "Hey mate...How ya feeling?" he muttered his words slured from his swollen lip "You don't look as bad as I thought you were gonna" he shook his head "I'm gonna kick that blokes face in even if its the last thing i do!" Ben didn't care about what he had done to him so much it was what he had done to jack, he was very protective over his friends.

Jack looked at Ben oddly for a moment but grinned after a while of silence. He shook his head "No...no kicking heads.." He groaned. He brought his hand up to his bandaged head and closed his eyes "Nope..I feel like someone's been kicking at my head for the last few hours and I doubt that's because of the booze ive been drinking" He laughed slightly.

Ben laughed, Nudging Karah to go and see him "Hey you have to sign my arm later!" he smiled slightly "I'll sign ya head!!" he told him, mocking Jack with the highest amusement.

Ben layed watching the two of them, happy for them but deep inside he envyed Jack. Covering his emotions with a smile he shook his head "Hey Karah! You know when they are gonna let us two outta here?" he asked glancing around the room "And what happened to that thing...Hugh or what ever his name is?" as he said this disgust fell in his voice.

Jack narrowed his eyes and glanced up at Karah then at Ben. He shook his head "Well let's hope he's long gone.." He whispered. Not knowing that Hugh had been the one who called the ambulance, Nor did he know Hugh was actually in the hospital himself. He pushed himself into a sitting position and smiled "Im hungry...wonder if the food in this place is any good...doubt it though.."

Although in the back of his mind he wondered if Karah actually did want to go out with him, He didnt want to think she was using him for comfort after what happened with Hugh..

Ben watched them both, smiling slightly he tried to shake away his envy he felt towards them both "Hey Karah did they say when we can leave?" he hoped that it would be soon, he still ached and his arm was really saw but he couldn't wait to get outta hospital. He hated it in here and once he was better he was going to go and find Hugh and get his revenge.
