At this currnet moment in time me and one of my best mates Sara Kennedy are making a proper movie. We have been raising some money by doing sponsored runs ect, ect. At first people thought it was just a normal teenage phase we were going through but we have been going for about 6 months now and we are deadly serious. We really want to make this movie! It's going to be a horror movie. We going on a course for 5 days in april during school time. It's £100 per day (so it better bloody be a good course! :P)

Jess takes Media and she made a music video for part of her project and I was one of the stars ::). Although I had to dress up as a Victorian man, with the suit and top hat :dry:. But twas a fun day, and I got to miss school :P

okay this could take a while ;) lol
It's about a priest (and before you say hold on i thought this was a horror movie, not some relgious movie, it gets a whole lot scarier than him lol ;)) who comes to this new church that has been built in a small village.
If you have ever heard of those ceromonies (sp?) where priest's sometimes go to houses to bless them and get rid of "evil" spirits and stuff, this is what our priest does to this new church. Before the church was built it was an old creepy graveyard you see but no one had ever payed any respect to it and just trashed it basically. So he blesses the church from all the angered "dead".
However, what he doesn't realise id that he has awakened and annoyed in doing so a very evil spirit! The spirit later takes over this priest and makes him do murderous things. For instance he kinapps little boys and girls and murders them each differently and horribly.
Then basically, later on in the movie our secong main character comes into the scene. He is a mental patient who cannot be trusted. He's really twisted in the head and has done bad things in the past. He's a really religious man and he is looked after in a mental institution home. He escapes when he reads his local newspaper about the missing people and the murders. He trys to warn people it's the priest and evil spirits have awoken but he's mental right?! So who's going to believe him?

This has taken me and Sara (who i'm making this with) a lot of time, thought and preperation to create this idea. Obviously it still needs a lot of work but i will keep you lot posted. ;) :)

Ah we had an enrichment day today and me and Sara spent the whole day researching for our movie! :D 8)

Yeah, we're trying to find out all about directing and cinematographers and all the other fields involved in film-making. To be a director requires you to know near enough everything about film-making so we are researching and finding out who does what in making movies. :)
We're also trying to learn the right terminology. :D

A while ago we had this thing called Cinemagic and it was the dude that played Mr C in Hollyoaks goin round different places and telling people (about 12-16 year olds I think) what makes a good actor and all and it sounded pretty good but I found out about it too late :dry: ::)

well me and sara hope to be directors and we have our movie idea so we want to be able to direct our own movie as we know what we want from it ect ect. ::)
Then when we have money and if it gets green lighted (permision to be made) we will hopefully be able to get pros to come and help us with all the other aspects of making a movie. :)

I'm searching at the moment for responsibilities of a film director, and I think I'll extract loads of little bits and type it up for you. But I'll give you a tip. Watch all three of the Extended Edition's extra DVDs because you can watch how Peter Jackson did it and interacted with cast and crew.

An average Hollywood Blockbuster Movie can cost anything between $30-$120 million.
So that's about, £15-£60 million.

Right, I am wanting one too but cannot afford it. I went into Dixons and thought that the 99 pound insurance was actually the price! Erm, you'll have to fork out over 200 quid for a almost decent camera, and for a decent one, 350. Sorry, I was appalled too.

I've decided to start off in advertising for movies this way i can build up friendships and gain contacts. :) I think it would be a great way to get me on the ladder. 8)
After all Tony and Ridley Scott started off in advertising and look where they are now! :o :D

Tony and Ridley Scott are film directors. Ridley Scott had directed Gladiator, Black Hawk Down and most recently Kingdom Of Heaven. :)
Tony is his brother and has equally good films under his wing.

We're slightly more involved with our research now. We have moved on to looking at cool and hot locations that would suit our film setting.

you know if you want to go on like a film making course for free then you should write to the bbc. Me and my friend made a short film last year and they took us to the film studios....gave us cameras......paid for hotels......

We just made the film for ourselves cause we were going to anyway. You'll need to describe your plot though. I wouldnt recommend an angst film about suicidal teens cause i think they're overwhelmed with them. Nope, turns out not even the bbc cares *what you're going through*.
We made ours about gang wars in ealing. :P

UPDATE:
Finally got round to learning about useful programmes in the industry and i've been working on the professional programmes such as:
Avid (used to make lord of the rings and certain parts of harry potter and shrek)
Ulead Video Studio 9
Adobe Photoshop CS2
Been doing annimations (simple ones mind) and learned how to do proper Croma keying! :D
