Here's a getting to know you kind of thread where we share something about ourselves that not many people know.. (nothing too deep or serious, please)
Me:
1. I still sleep with a baby blanket; I'm 26!
2. My pinky toes don't touch the ground when I'm standing up

I am rarely deep or serious
I have hairspray, mousse, wax, conditioner, gel and a hair dryer on my dressing table, but most days I can't be bothered to use any of them.
I hate cleaning and I hate messiness. This is the reason happiness eludes me.

I wear women's underwear...
... but thats ok cos Im a girl :P
Most of my friends reckon I get more "drunk" on sugar and caffeine (ie coke) than I do on alcohol. Im inclined to agree with them.

My studio is totally decorated with posters of orcs..and Gollum too of course..but mostly orcs.
I can write backwards (like mirror-backwards) with my left hand
I can cook pupusas...and pretty dang good ones at that.
I've been drinking coffee since I was about 9 months old..even though it was half-coffee-half-milk.
Oh...and I can teach you all how to stand on your heads.

OMG me too!!! It's just a disgusting smell, a disgusting texture and generally disgusting. As is banana.
If the song 'Footloose' comes on the radio, I cannot resist dancing around to it even just a little bit, even in public.
My first taste of alcohol was at my 1st birthday, when my mum had a glass of champagne and I nicked it off her, so she gave me some of my own in a beaker. It's been downhill ever since, really. ::)

There is other nicer food that doesn't smell like a dog has had a wee on it. Like CAKE! :D I don't really know why I don't like it, I just can't eat the stuff. And Bountys are the DEVIL'S chocolate bar.

Oh I wouldn't worry, three of my mum's three children are now taller than her. I'm the oldest and also the shortest - my younger brother and even younger sister tower over me and even more over her. She's given up on the hacksaw now. :P

LOL about tall kids. My stepdaughter passed me a a few years ago..but i'm still taller than my Mister.
As for musical guilty pleasures..I have more than my share. I LOVE Gregorian chanting..and I have a huge collection of trance and rave music. (as IF I have any business loading my hair up with hold-gel, putting on uncomfortable shoes, drinking my weight in energy drinks and staying up til 5 AM until the police chase me and a few hundred of my closest friends out of some Pizza Hut parking lot or other ..... or so I've been told.

Oooh, I LOVE kitties.. Mine aren't bossy, though if I'm on the phone they always try to bump the phone out of my hand so I'll pet them instead of talking.. Hehe.. Silly girls..

I am that rare and strange creature - a female artist that is in fact a big geek. I have almost no fashion sense (I just put on comfy clothes that I like) and I love computer games and stuff. You really really don't come across us female arty geeks very often.

I adore cheddar. Middle strength to strong-ish cheddar is one of THE most delish things ever. Shame I'm trying to lose weight really, I dont get to have nearly as much of it now :(

I am also choreographically challenged. Once for a play the choreographer tried to teach me a dance, that I swear anyone that could count to TWO would be able to do! But me - it took me forever to get it down!

ditto! In fact, I'm just one of those people who can't keep still, ever! (even when I sleep - age 10 or so, I was sleeping on a mattress on the floor, and in the morning, I woke at 90 degree angle to where I started, with the duvet at the other end of the (very long) room... )
Ummm, little known fact... Well, it's little known on here; I'm nuts about "golden era" Childrens Lit - Swallows and Amazons, the Violet Needham books, old fashioned school stories... (and of course, Narnia)

LOFL. Yeah I saw the first one. Me and the Mrs went to the cinema on a whim. The description of the first film was Vampires in a high school. So we're thinking a load of teenagers locked up in a high school being slowly picked off by vampires one by one in some sort of bloody fashion. Alas.......... it was not to be.
Vampires turning sparkly in sunlight? How gay is that??? Terrible, gay, chick flick, money making waste of Cinema time.

I don't like Twilight at all, mainly because i find them to be a bit of a very bad rip off of the Vampire Diaries books by L.J. Smith (I know there's a tv series now, but I read these books like 7/8 years ago and liked them)

The TV show is good, but it isn't true to the books. You kinda have to look at them as separate entities.
First 3 books are the originals. L.J released like, another 3 but they don't have the same kick. Or maybe I just got older.
Tell you what IS fabulous series. The Well of Echoes by Ian Irvine.

Another interesting thing about me (besides that I'm an excellent kisser) is that I have synesthesia. When I think of numbers or letters, I see them in specific colours, and a slim few words or sounds actually leave a funny taste in my mouth. The whole thing plays havoc on my ADHD,but on the bright side it gives me an amazing memory. Mind you the things I remember are horribly random and so it's basically a wonderfully useless superpower.

Did you know that your text colour tastes like the scent they put in scented toilet paper? (as opposed to the scent that inevitably ends up in TP :rofl: )
And another thing about me...I am like reeeally allergic to poison ivy and poison oak. When I get even the littlest exposure, I break out in EVERY SINGLE part of my body that has EVER been inflamed by the stuff.

I think they still put that scent in Kleenex tissues but not in butt-wipe because of TSS.
Something else odd about me....perhaps even a bit embarrassing... I'm a 2nd degree of Justin Bieber.
I play hockey with a guy who used to be on The Beeb's team back when he played juniors in Atlanta. The guy says Justin had good quick hands and was an excellent skater, but he was so scrawny that just about anybody could push him off the puck.

It was bad enough when I had the neighbors' kids over last February and they got on my computer and went to YouTube on my account and watched two dozen Beiber videos. It was almost three months before I got all the Beiber out of the Suggested Viewing queue.
LOL and I just remembered another weird random fact about me. I make my own sweet pickles. :)
Though if anybody else here also makes their own pickles, I'd love to chat and swap recipes.

Also, about me... I have a pen pal that's, like, 50 years my senior.. But she's a nice lady and it brightens her day to receive mail from me.. And it's nice to know someone is praying for me and my family.. :)

Letters...actually hand-written letters..are so much fun to get and send.
Point of fact I'm probably kind of rare these days in that I have a whole shoe box full of love letters that I got from the Mister back when we were dating. It didn't matter that I saw him every few days and often talked with him on the phone. He STILL sent me little love notes..and after we got married I would sometimes pack a li'l sweet-nothing in his lunch bag, even if it was just a Posty-Note with "Love yooouuu." written on.
