Okay, does anyone else really think that Leona Lewis' (X-factor) voice is that good?
She doesn't sing half the lyrics, she screams them, and it really does my head in.
She is contantly on the radio, and everyone's got a real big hype bout her, :id: but why? Can someone please explain why?
And another thing, have you heard her 'album'. My sister bought it and i swear it's not that hot.
All it is, is all the songs that she sang on the X-factor, and she hasn't even re-recorded them, they've just been taken from the show as they were, and you can even hear the X-factor theme in there a few times, how much of a rip off is that? Because she's been saying in interviews and that, that she's been working really hard on the 'album'. :fr:

But really though, everytime I hear her voice I just want someone to shoot me.

She does have a good voice...
However, it's not unique. She has a good voice, like most cabaret singers have. It's listenable, but it's not the 'X Factor', as Simon so regularly points out.
She sounds like any other peson, and whats the point in that?

I don't disagree that she has a good voice, nothing special.
I think she tries too hard to be like Maraiah and Whitney when she clearly hasn't got it.
She screams the high notes in her songs, which just spoils the whole thing.
And i have to agree with you with Go Rhydian - Now that's REAL talent.

I did want Andy to win (Cuz he lives near me ::)) but now, Rhydian MUST WIN!
Although it's probably fixed for someone boring to win...like...Leon or...Beverly :|

That show has always been fixed, I've said that from the start.

I am absolutely in love with Rhydian, he's a friend of a friend whom i visited alot during one summer and i met and knew him a couple of years ago before all the X Factor fame thing, he's such a nice guy so i was really annoyed at all the bad press he got, he's a confident performer but also a very shy and modest person and someone who's very interested in others, he was very chatty with me when i met him he was interested in my dancing and we spoke alot about his Opera training, Iam also a big Phantom of the Opera and Lloyd Webber nut and he is too, my friend told me he really liked speaking to me and hoped we'd meet again but unfortunately I didn't go back because i left the college and haven't spoken to her much since. She did phone me to let me know that X Factor's Rhydian was her ex boyfriends friend whom he played Rugby and if i remembered him, i certainly do remember him.. such a nice person..
As for Leona, i don't like her ... never have.. her voice annoys me and the way she performs is awful.

Rhydian's rendition of Phantom of the Opera was just absolutely brilliant. I hope he goes on to play the character in the west end, I'd definitely go watch it then!
Methinks Leona's quite good actually, though I haven't heard her new album. Much too mainstream for me, but the single's swooshy. If it's just those X-Factor songs redone almost a year after she won though, that's terribly pathetic :P

But the thing is, there not even undone, they've just been taken from the show.
I've finally done it, I cracked.
I smashed my sister's precious Leona CD to bits.
Yes, ok, it was a bit nasty.......But she has the thing on constantly.
Everytime I got home from work it would be on, and it drove me nuts.
(Yes i feel guilty)

NB: No, for the record, I don't like her voice, she sounds very much like most of the other single pop singers out there, and without half of the power of the Whitney Houstons, or the Mariah Careys of the world.
