I'm going to see Hanzel und Gretyl in Bristol at the end of the month.
Then to see Hatebreed on the 26th.
Dunno about any other concerts after that.
Hopefully I will be going to see Yellowcard when they come here to the UK.

I saw Cradle of Filth (Hanzel und Gretyl supporting) in Bristol a while ago.
I heard so much about COF and their live concerts and they were pretty awesome.
Hanzel und Gretyl were amazing live also, I have fallen in love with them recently.

I also saw Hatebreed as well, I had a theory test for my driving that day and I passed
so it was a present from my parents. It was a wicked night, the mosh pit was mad and
I met the lead singer Jamey Jasta and he was really nice.

I saw a band called Acid Tongue at Dark Awakenings in TJs last week, they were quite weird but they
were awesome haha.

I'm planning to see Sikth in TJs at the end of June hopefully. They are awesome.

I'm going to Bloodstock this August and I can't wait! I was thinking of going to Download but to be honest the only band I'd really want to see is Iron Maiden and no way is 160 pounds + travel + buying a new tent + beer money, worth it. I'll just wait to when they tour again (Hopefully not with Trivium ;)). Awesome line up at Bloodstock this year. I've been waiting to see Dark Tranquillity for what seems like an eternity, and I've recently got into Finntroll and Korpiklaani. In Flames should be good as long as they play a good mix of old and new (Preferably not too much new though Vacuum is a good song). It'll be good to see Firewind play a longer set too (They only got 30 mins while supporting Dragonforce :().

Saw Rise Against in Norwich at the start of this month and they were awesome :D

Seeing Reel Big Fish tomorrow too, gonna be the 6th Time I have seen them :D

That will be good seeing as Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Dragonforce and others will be there.

I'm hoping to see Metallica in July which will be awesome.

Then to Gallows, again in TJ's on the 14th September, really really excited..nice to know that Gallows thought of my birthday :P
Then to Bring me the horizon  in TJ's (god I'm obsessed with that place) on 23rd November. Should be wicked.

Title: Re: Concerts!
Post by: xthepoison__ on July 05, 2007, 09:56:34 PM
At the Black Crusade tour, the following bands will be there altogether:
Machine Head
Trivium
Arch Enemy
Dragonforce
Shadows Fall

I think a special guest is supposed to play but I'm not sure if it's already been announced.

The tour will be in Cardiff CIA on Monday November 26th.

I went to Barenaked Ladies last year! That was HILARIOUS. They are funny as all hell... that was the last concert I've been to, but my little sis said that Soilwork will be in our area in a couple of months- so that I will definitely find time and funds for.

I'm really tempted to go and see Girls Aloud in Oakwood this Saturday...but it clashes with HP...no!
Title: Re: Concerts!
Post by: Phil on July 19, 2007, 04:08:48 AM
This year I've been to Kelly Jones (we even met him!), Alloy Mental and Stiff Little Fingers.

I'll be going to Tennent's Vital (think of it as Northern Ireland's 'T in the Park') in Belfast which is being headlined by the Killers and Razorlight with Manic Street Preachers, the View, CSS, Mark Ronson, Kasabian (yeeoo!), Albert Hammond Jr. and many more!

I *was* hoping to go to Oxegen but I was afraid I wouldn't get the weekend off, so I decided to leave it...annoying thing was that i actually got the weekend off by tragic coincidence and sat in while all my mates were at it. Even though Electric Picnic's (Ireland's second big festival) is sold out, I'm trying to hog a few tickets off eBay but to no avail so far. It's being headlined by Bjork, Chemical Brothers, Beastie Boys and Primal Scream so it'll be worth going to. However in the likely event we don't get tickets we're going to head to Liverpool for Creamfields, at which Chemical Brothers will be headlining, so s'all good. :)

Sikth were amazing in Newport TJs on Saturday. I got beaten up a bit in the mosh pit but I got my
revenge thanks to my deadly umbrella, vampire teeth and nails that are almost as long as Edward Scissorhands' hands :P

I'm going to see The Black Dahlia Murder in TJs in a couple of weeks time. That should be awesome.

Gallows on the 14th September (a couple of days before my birthday, great birthday present that).

Dimmu Borgir in London, forgot the date lol.

Bring me the Horizon on the 23rd November, again in TJs.

The Black Crusade Tour on the 26th in CIA. Great line-up that, can't wait.

Yay for the cold going in time, Del! It sucks being ill at a gig. And Kam - you nutter. I don't blame you though, I saw Reel Big Fish at The Full Ponty and they were amazing, defintely stole the show. By the way, I've just gotta ask, did you see Beat Union support them on their last tour? They're one of my favourite bands but no-one else I ask has heard of them.

I have seen Reel Big Fish 6 times in total and one of them was on the last tour with Beat Union and Army of Freshmen.
I gotta say Beat Union werent bad but were probably the weakest band on the night. Though when you are playing with Reel Big Fish and Army Of Freshmen its kinda expected!

Saturday night saw me deep in the bowels of Carnglaze Caverns (a big hole in the ground in Cornwall!) where I saw "Deadringer From Hell", a rock opera tribute to Meatloaf's early years!  It was ruddy fantastic.  All the great songs as well as some new stuff and a couple of Rocky Horror tracks too.

If you do get a chance to go and see the show then do it, Ringer sounds so much like Meat that it'd be difficult to tell the two apart if they sang a duet!

Last concert I went to was Leonard Cohen I think back in August last year!
He was incredible, although 4 encores was ridiculous.

Favourite concert last year was The Jacksons in March last year. They have been heroes of mine, especially Michael was (still is really) since I was very little, having broken up before I was born and Michael passing away 5 years ago, I never thought I'd get to see them.

I'll be going to see one of my absolute favourite bands 'Grand Magus' on February 23rd, so that'll be pretty boss. Bit of a double-edged sword though, since I'll be hitting that up alone as one of my best friends and my gigging brother is away back to live in the United States after 7 glorious years living in sunny and not-at-all laughably wet Belfast. :p

Oh...if you're into Heavy Metal, you owe it to yourself to check out Grand Magus- they're a properly great band.

 :horn:
