(ok i was wondering if anyone has read tamora perices book)
Plot:alanna is still jons squire and everyone knows shes a girl and she and jon get kiddnapped and taken to carthark

(okies i geuss i shall start)
alanna strugged in to the ropes that were tied to her wrists and ancles

Kalina walks into the throne room. "Daddy I'm going to visit Luc. I'll be back a little later."
"Don't get in the way."
"I won't"

alanna got the gag down and started yelling for help

Kalina goes to the stables and gets her horse. She rides to the university and starts looking for Luc.

she finaly got untied and ran over to jon and tried to wake him but since that didnt work so went to the door and opened it.

Kalina's horse reared and she started to fall. Just before she hit the gound someone caught her. He helped her to her feet. She turned around and smiled at him. "Luc!"
"Are you ok?"
"Yes thank you. I don't know why she did that. she's never done that to me before."
"Who are you?" He asked looking at Alanna

alanna:my names alanna me and the prince of tortal were kiddnaped 2 days ago

"The Prince?"
"She must be a crazy Kalina. Come away."

alanna:yes the prince i am his squire.

Luc leads Kalina away to one of the buildings. "Do you really think she is a crazy?"
"I don't know Kali. The story did seem a little far fetched."

Two men grab Alanna and force her back into the room with Jon and tie her to a pillar.
"Stay."

she started sturgeling and got away again she glanced at jon and left again

"Why Are you here Kali?"
"I'm tired of the palace. I want to get out and see......"
"No. I will not."
"Please Luc?! I promise not to ask again."

alanna walked past them

Luc turns and freezes Alanna in place. "Where are you going?"
"Luc leave her alone."

alanna:back to tortal to get help, now if u would let me go

"You won't find a ship or captain that will go to Tortall."

alanna:oh i will.........now release me.

"You missunderstand me. No one comes in to port and no one leaves port. We are in lockdown. The King has espesially requested the mages to work overtime to make sure we would have everything we need for the next few months. Not to mention None of the captains in port right now would be stupid enough to try to go to Tortall."

alanna:fine but i will not be a captive here i have to do something ....release me now

"Fine." He lets her go just as she starts to pull away and she falls in a puddle of mud.

she got up and used her gift and cleaned herself off
alanna:where r we? other than carthak

Kali looks at her. "This is the university. Where the wizards train."

alanna:k is there anywhere where i can contact tortall?

"No."

she sighed
alanna:do you not belive me when i say im the prince'es squire?

"No I don 't. I don't trust anyone from Tortall."
"Luc! I'm sorry for the way he is behaving. I'm Kalina."

alanna:your higheness
she bowed
alanna:and why do u not trust anyone from tortall

"If you truly are who you say you are then you should not even be speaking to me. Let alone The Princess."
"Luc. If she really is for Tortall we should help her. She's not safe here."
"Kali you realize you speak against your father."
"I do not. I speak against his views of Tortall."

alanna:luc is it?.......the prince of tortall is back there

"Then he can stay there. He especially is not welcome here."
"Luc!"

she slapped him

"Since when does a Squire protect his knight but slapping the enemy?"

alanna:u mean her knight> and would u rather me try hand to hand commbat?

"You forget who I am...."
"Enough!! Luc get to practice." She pushes him off and turns to Alanna. "You had better hide before someone else finds you that is not as friendly to you."

alanna:where though?

"You could come with me. My father thinks I need a new handmaid. He would never guess."

alanna:would that require a dress?
-
"More than Likely. It will definatley keep you safe though."

alanna:one problem though.....i dont know hoe to sit or walk or..........

"I can teach you."

alanna:fine....but the prince?

"Where is he?"

alanna:its an empty room just back there it doesnt have any windows

"Show me."

she turned around and walked back there and opened the door.
alanna:here

"There's no one in here."

alanna:jon**

Kali walks around the empty room. The high walls bare except for a tiny window almost on the ceiling. "There is no one here. It's just an old storage building."

alanna:he was in here and ...............look over here.

"What?"
-
alanna:its a trap door
-
"I'll have one of my gaurds check it."

alanna:but............
she nodded
alanna:so im a handmaid?

"Yes. Come with me and I will show you where the palace is."

alanna:yes princess
-
Kali walks out of the room and calls one of the gaurds over. "Keep an eye on that building. I want to be the first to know if anything unusual happens." She mounts her horse and waits by the gate.

alanna went over to her

"Soldier! A horse." He runs off and returns with a horse. He holds it while Alanna mounts.

alanna mounted up

Kali takes off toward the castle.

alanna followed

Kali rides into the stables and dismounts gracefully. She leaves the horse with the stablehand and starts up the garden path to the palace.

alanna dismounted and followed
alanna:where r we going?

"To tell my father that I found a handmaid."

alanna:oh.....nice training yards
-
"Handmaids don't concern themselves with things like that. Only if Jamis is here will you see them outside without their mistresses."

alanna:only if who is here?
-
"Jamis. He's a knight. My father's favorite. He's always sending him out and calling him back if the fighting gets to be. He's like a son to him. Only he wants me to marry him."

alanna:and why dont u?
-
"Marry him? Like I said he's like a son to my father, He's like a brother to me. We are good friends but nothing more."

alanna:that makes since...i would never marry jon.

"My father doesn't seem to understand, and Luc......." She blushes and looks at her feet. "I shouldn't say anymore." She turns and opens a door the guards on the other side hold it open until she and Alanna are inside.

alanna:u like him milady?
-
"That is not something a handmaid should be asking." She turned to the other end of the hall and smiled. "Father? I've found my new handmaid."

alanna looked down and cursayed

"I thought you said you didn't need a new handmaid."
"I changed my mind."
"Good. She can help prepare for Jamis' arrival."
"He's coming home?"
"He requested it this time."
"Is something wrong?"
"He didn't say. but enough of that who is this young lady that is to become you new handmaid?"

alanna looked at the princess

Kali nudges Alanna forward and hissed "He's talking to you."

alanna:aly sir.*

"Aly? You aren't from around here are you? Where are you from?"

alanna:tyra sir*

"Born and raised? Your accent sounds Tortallan."

alanna:i have famly there and i would go there with my mother *

"You are from a Tortallan family......."
"Father she'll be a good maid. Who better to serve me than one of our enemies."
"She's a Slave then?"
"Yes Sir."
"Where are her restraints then?"

alanna looked down

"She has not yet received them."
"Then I shall send for the slave master at once."
"Yes father."
"Now run along. I have much to do."
Kali takes Alanna by the hand and the leave the throne room. "I'm going to show you where my chambers are and Teya will show you the rest of the palace and give you instructions."

alanna:restraints? r u kidding me?

She shrugs "He could kill you. Or your Prince."

alanna mumbled about give her a sword and she'd kill someone

"Just be glad I found you and not one of the Mages. They would have taken you to the slave market, killed you or brought you to father. He definitely would have killed you." She turns down a corridor and stops at thr third door from the right. The guard opens it and she goes in.

alanna:who was the mage with u?

"That was Luc." She looks around "Teya come to me."
A young girl no older than Kali came out of a separate room. She curtsied and took Kali's riding cloak. "Did you have a nice ride?"
"As always. Only this time I picked up a stray. Teya she is Tortallan and that must remain a secret Luc will surely come by to check on me and when he does I want her to sound different. Understand?"
"Yes. No one is to know."
"Exactly. I want you to show her around the Palace. Treat her like you would a slave. My father may wish for her to wear the bracelets."

alanna:thats not going to happen..i wont wear them

"Look If anyone else finds out I'm helping you I could be killed for treason against the crown. It doesn't matter if I am the Princess." She turns and walks out. Teya turns to Alanna. "Her father will have to order the death of his only child. And He loves her more than anything. He would give his life to save her. But if he did the kingdom would fall to his brother."

Teya looks at her suspiciously "Help you do what?"

alanna:they have prince johnathan

"I'm not sure how I can help."

"Do you have any idea who brought you here?"

alanna:the king

"I don't think so. Did he seem like he recognised you?"

alanna:no but i didnt look at him

"Trust me when I say you would know if he had seen you before."

"Any other thoughts?"

alanna:no but im bored

"I'll show you around and introduce you to the other servants. They will help you with some of the more day to day things. There are some things that are only you and I will be allowed to do. Since we are her personal maids we are the ones trusted with her personal items and errands. I will show you how things work and how she wants things done. If you want to stay free then you hand best pay close attention. There are some things that are not to be said, certain topics that are to be avoided at all costs. If you want to gain favor with the King then you need to show him how well you will keep his daughter."

"We'll start with the kitchen."

Teya opens the door and leads her to the kitchen. "Alons?" The servants stop. A young maid turns and smiles. An Older man looks over at her. "How can I help you Love?"
"Alons this is....."
"The little one has a new handmaiden? I thought she refused."
"She found this one herself. I need you to show her everything she is required to do in the kitchen. She has never been a maid before."
"Of course. I would be delighted to help you and the little one. My Char is with the horses right now If you would like me to send him....."
"If you don't mind." She smiles and he nods Teya leads Alanna to the great dining hall.

alanna:how much will i have to do?

"The princess has a food taster. And the Kitchen maids bring the morning meal up to her chambers. You simply have to keep her company if I'm not around. The afternoon meal she dines with her father and mother. The evening meal is with the entire court. You shall not be present at either unless the princess requests you. If the princess wants you there then your job is simple. You stand behind her out of the way and refill her goblet. You shall fetch anyone she wants and bring them to her. You are to never speak unless spoken to in the presents of the King, Queen, or any member of the royal court." She turns and looks around she motions to a group of people at the other end of the hall. they come over and join them. "Everyone I'd like to introduce the princess's new handmaid."
"Pleased to meet you. I thought the princess......."
"We all did. Anyway I need you all to show her what to do alright? If she screws up them the king will either kill her or sell her as a slave."
"Don't worry Lovie we'll take care of her."
"Thanks Will."

"If you truly are then you know it would be wise to stay quiet when in the hands of the enemy."

alanna:and u are?

"my name is Will. I'm the princess's personal gaurd."

alanna:then how come u arent wiht her?

He shrugs "She's with Luc."

alanna:oh

"Would you like to join us Will?"
"Sure. Where to?"
"The stables."

alanna leaned aginst the wall

"I thought he was coming today."
"He is."
"Then won't the stables be a little crowded and busy?"
"Maybe."

alanna:will anyone tell me wat im supposed to be doing?

"Yes. You will have help anywhere you need it. You just have to ask."
"Unless you are to proud."

she glared at him
alanna:wat should i do?

"Find the princess and see what she needs."

she went and found the princess

"Oh Hello. Has Teya showed you where everything is?"

alanna:i think so

"Good, Father wants to go on an outing."

alanna:ok....wat will i do?

"Ready the horses."

alanna:alright
she went and did that

"How long do you think before your dad kicks her out?"

she finished

"Luc Please......"
"Fine. Where is that drated gaurd of yours?"
"I'm not sure. He said he was going to the kitchens I think."

she came back over
alanna:im done princess

"I supose Teya introduced you to my gaurd."

alanna:i think so.
-
"Would you please go find him."

alanna:alright...
she turned and went to find him

Luc:Do you really think your father will release her?! He'll have her head when He finds out!
Kali:Then he won't find out!
Luc:And If I tell him?
Kali:I'll have you banished! If I'm not dead. You know he'll have to either kill me, or sacrifice himself at the risk of the throne.

alanna:r u matt?

"Yeah."

alanna:princess kali needs u at the stables

He sighs. "Alright. Teya that probably means you to."

she turned and started toward the door

Matt and Teya follow.

Luc:You can't banish me. You don't have the authority.
Kali:I can fix that.
Luc:Fine! I won't say anything.
Kali hugs him. "Thank you."

alanna stood to the side

Matt clears his throat and they break apart looking guilty. Kali quickly regains her composure and looks at Teya
Kali: Father wants to go meet the ship.

alanna stood there bitting her lip

Teya:Am I needed Highness?
Kali:I would like you to stay behind. I think I should take my new handmaiden.

alanna glanced over at taya
-
Teya:Go. Just don't do anything you will regret.
Kali mounts her horse and waits. "My ladies ride sidesaddle. I assume you know how."

alanna:i dont but i can figure it out

Kali:Make it believeable. If Father finds out then he will know.......

alanna:ill try
she mounted and sat side saddle

The King rode up beside Kali. "Are you ready Kali?"
Kali:Yes Sire.
King:Matt. Come along.
Matt bows and mounts his horse. He follows them out of the stables and into the courtyard where the kings gaurd was waiting. Matt rode just behind Kali. He silently directed Alanna's horse beside the Princess.

alanna glanced back at him then looked forward again

King:So how is your new handmaid?
Kali:She needs more training but she'll work.

alanna bit her lip

King:I glad to hear it. I don't suppose you would consider.....
Kali:I will not.

alannas horse reared at the site of a snake and know she would be discovered if she got controll of the horse she hung on acting scared

Matt grabbed the reins and calmed the horse.
King: Has she never ridden before?

alanna bit her lip

Kali:She has. She only fust lost control.
King:See to it that she has proper training with the horse masters.
Matt:Yes Sire.

alanna glanced at matt then looked around and saw jon
-
Jon smiles up at them as he watches them pass.

alanna glances up at the king then the princess then over at matt

Matt:What is it?

alanna:**prince jonathan

Matt:Which one?
-
she nodded to him
-
Matt stops two of his men and points out Prince Jonathan. They leave the company and head into the crowd.

alanna:wat r u going to do?**

Matt:They will take him to the princess's chambers and will await us there.

she nodded then looked at the princess and was wishing she could go but knew it could mess her "cover" up

As they arrived at the dock they were greeted by a small group of men. The men bowed to the King and princess. "Sire, Jamis was not on the ship. The men said he never arrived."
King:Then something is indeed very wrong. Matt take Kalina back to the palace. Quickly!
Matt:Yes sire.
He turns to Kali and Alanna.
Matt:Your highness.

alanna waited for the princess to go so she couls follow

Kali kicks her horse into a gallop Matt close beside her.
