Title: Eowyns Song

During the incarnation of Theodred Theoden's son into the ground Eowyn sang a Rohirric song.

What did you think of it?

You know, I thought it was brilliant, but it was spoilt by the fact that they cut it off in the middle.

I think I understand why they did this.  It was used as a device to show the finality of death and at the completion of the burial it emphasised the emptiness that one feels when buring a loved one....

However, what a shame to not complete the song.  *wonders if there has ever been a complete version or whether they didnt know how to end it*  It sounded a little to me a little bit like they had run out of ideas!   :-\

What about you?  Why do you think they did it?

I loved this song, so poignant, so stark but like you I think they probably just wrote enough for that bit of film and no more.

its not EG dont look.

I searched hiiiiigh and low for that song... the best i could come up with was from this site someone mentioned that it was obviously sung in the old language of rohan. lol
then i just kind of gave up. but i did memorize it (the whole thing is on the TTT EE i believe or most of it) from the dvd.

perhaps if they release an unabridged Two Towers soundtrack,(as they are releasing the FOTR one) then the complete song will be on that.

I suspect tho, that the whole song was never written
