OK, not strictly LOTR... but seeing as we all met up last year at Sherwood, thought it might be worth posting about!
Takes place at the Sherwood Visitor centre, near Nottingham and is from the 1st to 7th August ...
fun-packed programme features jesters, jousters, music and children's theatre, strolling players, and costumed characters plus - of course - bold outlaws

I get the impression though that it is more a spectator thing than anything. Can one get into the action do you think?

There are some activities in which the public can participate.
The jousting etc is not one of them.
Our insurance is high enough already thanks ;)
