It's not a proper CD, but I downloaded all the Silent Hill soundtracks from the Internet (and yes, I did pay for them).  I seem to be having trouble finding them in the shops, so I downloaded them instead and burnt them to CD ;D

The C.Ds that I have bought this week was:
Lamb of God ~ Ashes of The wake

Shadows Fall ~ The Art of Balance

~ They are both excellent bands that I took a gamble on buying their albums to check em out and it turned out that I had spent my money well.  ;D
I would recomend it to metal fans or anyone who wants to listen or get into the metal scene. Just aswome  :P :laugh: ~

Lol, yeah pete, I am sure that everyone knows who Chris Ward is!!

Well I recieved for Christamas Mcfly twice, t'was a bit of a shambles seen as my nan asked the man who works in smiths for McFlurry not McFly, he he!! And then my other nan bought it, oh what a cuffufle! It is quite good though, very party like!  ;D

And I got Evanesence - Fallen, which was major happee fest, seen as I have wanted it for like ever, but just never bought it for some odd reason!  :8o

I got given Tool - Lateralus...Had it before but only as a copy and it got all scratched up and all the tracks skipped so its nice to have a proper copy ^__^

I got the first 3 STP albums, Core, Purple and Tiny Music...Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop.  I've had them all at some point in my life, but they've all disappeared so I decided the time had come to replace them.

Rite now I'm In Love With The Music, The  Libertines and Razorlight! I've been obsessed with the libertines album for some time now! Whey :D

And hopefully I shall be purchasing The Killers Album soon!

I fear i'll be dissapointed with the Hot Hot Heat album! 12 quid for 32 minites, I had a quick look and i'm unsure, but then again i had a headache at the time!

I love "Talk To Me, Dance With Me" tho so not all is lost!

I got two 'rage against the machine' albums namely 'battle of los angeles' and 'evil empire' and they both rocketh to the high hilleth. Oh yeah and the zutons, 'who killed the zutons', which is instantly likable!

I got Morbid Angel's "Domination" and Gamma Ray's "No World Order"

Domination is fantastic so far, but that is to say I've only went through the first few songs right now. I'll update this when I listen to the CDs.

I bought Damage Plan ~ New Found Power Tis really kool  8) :D

Well I decided to buy this album after Dimebags sad death. I wanted to hear what he had done with his new band Damage Plan after leaving Pantera  8) and so I bought this Damage Plan album.

Let me start here by givin a big HELL YEAH!! to the brothers for comin back with the most awesome debut of 2004.This record kicks some serious ass and kicks the crap outta superjoint ritual!!big time!!Vinnie and Dime are quite possibly the most unbelievable musicians in heavy metal..starting out with the opener 'Wake Up' we know were in from a kick ass record and just gets better and better from there onwards.

The stand out tracks on this record are without a doubt 'New Found Power','Breathing New Life','Pride'(Featuring Slipknots Corey Taylor on vocals) and 'Reborn'(Featuring the man himself on lead outro Mr Zakk f*ckin Wylde)
Pat Lachman is a fantastic frontman for the band.think Corey Taylor meets Zakk Wylde on vocals!!!not a bad combo?!

One thing I did notice on this record is Dimes lack of solos!As the years have gone on i've noticed that dimebags solos are becoming more experimental. I hate to say it but the two solos that Zakk contributes to the record beat the crap out of all of Darrells put together!but there two different styles i guess..

On December 8th 2004 we lost one of the true metal legends. This is left as Dimebags last album before his tragic death.  :'( R.I.P

I bought Lacuna Coil ~ Comalies this week  :D

Comlaies is powerful album. Great songs, great sounds and christina has a great voice. Lacuna coil are a band in the Evanescence style, however they have a harder edge. If you like Evanescence then you will love Lacuna coil. Every track is a winner although the album does tail off a little towards the end. Simply amazing!

 run out of superlative praise words for Lacuna Coil. My favourite band. I was very happy to see that this time round Andrea Ferro is actually getting some microphone time, as many fans believed that Unleashed Memories was a subtle way to phase him out of the band. While it is Ferro's curse that he will live in Cristina Scabbia's shadow when vocal talent is concerned, he comes through very well, and on tracks like "Angel's Punishment" very powerfully too.

Coti-Zelati has outdone himself in music for this album. Lacuna have come a long way since the first FULL LENGTH, "In a Reverie," which was in no way as good as their debut EP, "Lacuna Coil."

Cristina Scabbia soars again, while Ferro powers through. This beautiful, and melodic vocal interplay works superbly in the forever haunting "Entwined" and "Heaven's a Lie." Often compared to Evanesence, this band (who were around before Amy Lee, and her now split up band) are far superior. This talented sextet from Milan has done it again. Songs like "Comalies" will haunt you for days, as Cristina Scabbia's vocals once again attack and seduce. You need a heart of stone to resist her siren call. Well worth any amount of money that is charged.

Yesturday, I got Hanson's new album 'Underneath'. I know it's like hanson are good enough to have another album??? :o, didn't they die or something.. :D. But, I have to confess I love these guys, they are more indie these days and I couldn't call them pop because they are not that popular, so ner. It's an enhanced cd, so I get three live performances including Penny and me, which I love! It's a great album to get you singing along and feeling happy, well it makes me happy and they write their own stuff and produce it, so I think they deserve more respect personally!   :P

I'm undecided.  I got bored of 'An Honest Mistake' before I got the album, but my hopes were kept up by the Unconditional EP (Unconditional itself is very good).  So far, so average.

I got The Kills - No Wow, too!

I got My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, today .... And the cashier in Virgin was so sweet and kind and ['cos it was a choice between Muse's Absolution and MCR & Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge] she was like "I love MCR, they're my favourite band, I'm going to go see them in Novemeber! You should buy that, it's such a good album, especially track 4!" - So she pursuaded me, I can always buy Absolution next week, and actually [depsite the fact I've been slating MCR the last 3 weeks] it's a VERY good album :P

bought Death on the Road by Maiden.....

really, I feel Bruce is struggling in some places and he's just not "feeling it" any more...  compare "Iron Maiden" on this album to the version on "Live after Death"........  it just plain sucks.... (kinda)  all the flair is gone from the end of the song.

I also have Rammstein's latest but haven't listened to it and now the missus has put it somewhere and I don't know where it is!!!  Along with Mutter as well!!!  and I want to copy them both to my Zen!!! :'(

Did however listen to the "duet" on the album with TAtu.....  quite good!  :)

They are indeed! I can't stop listening to Kelly Clarkson, my two best mates want copies of it  :P But I haven't really listened to The Silent Force.. As much as it is a great album, and as is Kelly Clarkson's breakaway, I've been trying to listen to "happy" music, seems to cheer me up, but when I listen to the others, I get all eurghy :o

i think the starsailor album is great.....i dont own any of their other albums but i have heard a fair few songs and i cant say i was impressed....but this album is much catchier and a tad harder aswell.....i think its great.

I know my bro has an excellent eye for getting great albums by bands, their best work, I mean, so I wasn't that down-hearted really, to find that the album's I'd asked for weren't under the tree, ah well, I can always go and buy said CD's I wanted this week.  :angel:[/b]

Wowo, fell in love with the album straight away. The album has strong political views as well but it's good,
much better than the political messages that Green Day had in American Idiot LOL. Fave songs are End of the World,

& i won a copy of "The Information" (and i signed beck poster).... but its not been delivered yet unfortunately.... but hopefully! :)

  Was very disappointed with KSE because it was a bunch of screaming and not nearly enough singing..  But am very pleased with 30 secs to Mars..  It's awesome!!  I love Jared's voice..  He does a bit of screaming, but it's okay because it's not constant and he has a really nice singing voice..

I got  Romeo + Juliet OST the other week. It's amazing. Such a great soundtrack.

Take one look at my CD collection and it's like twenty different personalities in one ;)  Very varied music taste....although don't worry Edge me dear!  Heavy Metal is always number 1 ;)

As it always should be mate.....as it always should be!  :D ;D

Then again, it's no secret that you've an immensely diverse musical taste, which is cool, so it comes as no suprise to see so much different stuff in the collection.

I myself am in bad need of a CD update myself, because HMVs prices are still ridiculous (after a brief period of normality of course.) and I need to get a debit card for E-Baying CDs.

Oh yeah, just to get back on topic; I also got and forgot to mention (I think) these;


Stormtroopers of Death: Speak English or Die!

Nightwish: End of an Era (DVD and 2 CD Album Digi.)


Any Nightwish fans should pick up that DVD, as it's an incredible show, and the CD is the best Live CD I've had since Blind Guardian: Live. Yes, it's that good. :)

God, it has been a busy, busy year for music with me. I decided now that I'm actually working to buy up a whole shedload of CDs while I can and stop all the downloading.

So everything I can remember picking up this year is;

'Amon Amarth - Deceiver of the Gods'

'Carcass - Surgical Steel'

'Casualties of Cool - (Self Titled)'

'Devin Townsend Project - Sky Blue / z2'

'Grand Magus - Triumph and Power'
(Love love LOVE these guys, just your standard Iron Maiden inspired heavy metal with a lot of rock 'n' roll thrown in and alot of Viking themes. Can't recommend Grand Magus highly enough.)

'Edguy - Space Police'

'Hammerfall - (r)Evolution'

'Iced Earth - The Plagues of Babylon'

I also bought up alot of albums I already had digitally, because I hate downloading music and much prefer to have that physical package and physical backup. Also, I've pre-ordered the new Blind Guardian 'Beyond the Red Mirror' album which is incoming in the next couple of months and also the new Nightwish album 'Endless Forms' which is out I think in March.

It's a great time to be a Metal fan! :D

Oh yeah, finally, I also have the most bizarre one by a country mile - 'Tuomas Holopainen - Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge Mc Duck'

It's exactly as weird as it sounds. It's very much an orchestral story album. Weird, but well worth a listen if you're looking for something to relax you. :)

Tbh, I really love cds!! For me its the way to listen to music, though I occasionally download, I generally but cds instead!!  Probably going to buy myself some more in thief new year, but who knows what that could end up being!!  Lol, any ideas???
