I've always wanted to read The Portrait of Dorian Grey ::)
My favouraite is definitely and with no question of a doubt, The Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell.
They the best Arthurian Books ever, without using too much woopiedoo magic, it uses the threat of magic instead and that is very much more satisfying! Also, it's the only book able to make me phsyically cry, 5 times! :o
Only downside is that now I can't watch or read any other Arthurian books or films, cos Cornwell's version leaves them all standing!
-

It's hard to decide between Quest for lost heroes by David Gemmell and the Rover's cripple by Adele Lorienne. Both books are so amazingly written. Quest for lost heroes has tear-jerking qualities and such amazingly made characters. Where-as The Rover's Cripple has the most lovely main character. Falen who is a cripple. But he over-comes his disabilities and becomes a hero. It just so heart-warming. Ill make a list of my fave books
1). Quest for Lost heroes ~ David Gemmell
2). The Rover's Cripple ~ Adele Lorienne
3). Winter Warriors ~ David Gemmell
4). Legend of deathwalker ~ David Gemmell

Then there are a few book's that I can't remember the author's name such as

ooo i just read Eragon not to long ago actually!!..i cant believe the author is only in his twenties. It pays to have connections then eh?! (his parents were in the biz)
I enjoyed the book very much (since I LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOVE anything to do with dragons) and it was well written. I just thought many things were extremely simliar to the LOTR books from names to the locations of the mountain ranges etc.
but i still cant wait for the next one to come out...It says in my book that it should be out around this month.
-

-
LOTR is my all time favourite but a few others ive fallen i love with are terry goodkinds wizards first rule series of books
and of course harry potter!!!!
-
First and foremost it would have to be A Brave New World by Alduous Huxley. After that it would be he Dune novels followed closely by the LOTR. The reason I choose the new Dune novels over LOTR is because I feel their alot deeper, not just simple good versus evil. After all nothing is as simple as that.
-
The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
Outlander
(also titled Cross Stitch)
Dragonfly in Amber
Voyager
Drums of Autumn
The Fiery Cross
A Breath of Snow and Ashes
-
I don't think I could pick one favourite out of my favourite authors, once I find an author I like I usually get all their books: Stephen King, Ann e Rice, Patricia Cornwell, Dean Koontz, James Patterson, Mary Janice Davidson...
I really enjoyed The Hobbit.
But my all time favourite is Memoirs of a Geisha, I read it long before it became a movie, and I am still extremely peed off at the girl I lent it to who never returned it to me. One of these days I will buy another copy of it, just coz I like it that much...
The movie, by the way is very well done. But it has been a long time since I read the book...and I only saw the movie a couple of weeks ago...
-
I'm reading 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' by Milan Kundera right now, and it's amazing!
It will be one of my favourite books when I finish reading it.
I don't know if I could pick one book as a favourite. Perhaps 'Alice in Wonderland' by Lewis Carroll. But I really like Sylvia Plath's novel 'The Bell Jar' and 'Prozac Nation' by Elizabeth Wurtzel...heehee 'Girl, Interrupted' by Susanna Kaysen is also ace. I like 'Hamlet' by Mr. Shakespeare too...
Gah...im terrible at picking favourites! I like too many books!

Dragon Riders of Pern (especially Dragonsong, which the Dragonlady herself signed for me! :D )
